Tips & Strategies

What are tips for achatina? Tips and strategies for achatina in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
They make achatina paste till they have one stack(100) and then begin producing organic polymer as long as the paste remains. They also increase the spoil time of organic polymer when in their inventory. Be sure to have plenty of cakes or they will starve. You can still get a lot of paste before they die though so not a complete waste if you cannot continue feeding. Only tame low level achatina.
Located in and around the swamp, useful for cementing paste!
Ptes can carry them
Snails are a must have for cementing paste! Here's how to get one:
So first you'll have to make sweet vegetable cakes
(4 is good cause they only eat cakes even after tame)
To nake the cake you'll need:
2 giant bee honey
4 sap
2 rockaroots (the carrots)
2 longrass (the corn)
2 savoroot (the potatoes)
4 stimulant
25 fiber
And water in a cooking pot (spark powder or thatch is better to burn to avoid making charcoal)
There's tons of beehives and sap in the redwoods so build a small base there. Make a tap to get the sap (100 metal 40 cementing paste) and place it on one of the huge redwood trees you can't hit down (it'll have to be placed high in the tree so you'll have to get up there somehow and since the tree platform's are so expensive I just placed a foundation on the ground under the tap then doorways all the way up to the tap and connected ladders to the doorways then put a ceiling facing the tree to stand on, don't worry if the tap is in the way to get up, you can access the tap while on the ladder)
For the honey build a ramp up to a beehive, then ride a dire bear up the ramp and on PC right click
And On Playstation L2
Then for the plants harvest the seeds and plant them in crop plots. And don't worry the snails eat the cake extremely slowly so you don't have to worry about them eating them to fast
With a Beelzebufo (Toad)makes the job more easier..
Just tame one of this and go near to swamp or in(if you dare😬)and go for the hunt of flying bugs and you will get cementing paste... alot ...but be aware the more you hunt this, the more you had to go deep to the swamp..Good luck guys 🙂👍
They do not fight back even if you hit them
On ark mobile you don't need to feed them Cakes very often well they do eat cakes only but like i said the one that i had request a cake in about like 50 in game days and he was on half food meter
So yeah ups for more
And they don't attack so don't try to kill a dodo with it
If you are wanting to kill one you’ll have to be patient because it will go into its shell. But there is one solution. You have to wait for mabye ten seconds and it will come out.
How to tame:
Supplies:
- Bed,
- 10-15 sleep arrows, maybe more
- Veggie cake, make sure you have a good supply.
Taming:
Place the bed a good distance away from the area with the achatina, as the places these spawn are dangerous to venture into. I found the most populated area is the large swamp, which has sarco and kapro. Find a achatina that is NOT getting its shell handed to it by a dilo or titanaboa, and shoot it in the head. Shove cake down his/ her throat and your good to go!
P.S. The achatina eats veggie cake before and after taming and only veggie cake.
- A player named Leon
This snail is greedy as heck. Why is it eating so much cake? Make it eat something else, please. I really don’t want to tame 3 creatures just to get a darn snail. I need an ovis for the wool for the bug repellent for the giant bee for the honey for the cake for the snail. I also need a dung beetle for the fertilizer for the crops for the cakes. Overall, they should just make it eat berries. It’ll make this creature more popular and worth taming.
