Chapter 5!

Today I found a male variant of Florus Turaptor. Floris and this male had communicated using their colourful designs, and I never knew that they had multiple layers of petal, all with their own unique design, shape, and colour.

But today I found a new species. It looked a bit like a triceratops, with its massive horns and.. uncanny frill. Honestly, it looked exactly like a typical triceratops that you would find out on an ARK like The Island. But less of that, this one was hostile. I was able to avoid it using Floris, but she has a nasty mark on where the triceratops bit her. I feel rather bad.. due to my recklessness my own pet has been injured.

It’s great. The homosapien mind. The bonds you make with your first ever domesticated creature is so powerful and fruitful. Homosapien minds are weakened with no contact with other human life, but with a pet.. like Floris.. it’s not that bad.

Today I found a note during my exploration with my companion Floris. She’s my Florus Turaptor. The one I subdued after she gave me a nasty scar of my rijj G t forearm. The note was probably off a random insane person that had found themselves here.. I hope I don’t end up like them.

Chapter 3

So.. i may have had another run in with one of those flowery beasts! Though, I had finally been able to subdue it. It looks a bit like an Utah raptor from one of the old ARKs.. it’s pretty strange. Instead of its actual head, it’s a massive flower that kind of reminds me of a blooming flower; but when it opens it has millions of teeth and a massive tongue that looked like it was spitting up some sort of flesh. It had wrapped around my arm, but now there is a red scar of where that was. It was pretty intimidating,

But now i have made myself a ramshackle base, built entirely off of trees and plants. It reminds me of a cabin I had once seen back at the start of my journey. It reminds me of home. It reminds me of when I was once.. known.

But now I’m quite literally on a planet, or an ARK if you will, and I don’t know if it is in ARKsystem Valgo, Prosre, Cerus, Herane or any other faraway ARKsystem.

Right now that raptor.. thing.. is sleeping. I’m gonna name this new species I have found Florus Turaptor.

I realized. I had messed up during the wormhole, and now I'm somewhere where I'm even further from socialisation. That’s not good. Though, today I had seen a piece of fauna, or.. faulra, should I say. It was a living organism but its body had been ravaged by plants. Nectar dripping, carnivore plants… They’re even worse than the Venu Flytrapia back at the Genesis Part 2 site.

Now, I can’t help but wonder.. is all fauna like this? Or is there some sort of.. alternate reality where everything is controlled by those grotesque plants?

Chapter 1

I awoken, expected to be met with a surging hot beach, water rushing filling the air with sounds of the sea.

But there was none of that. Infact, i woken only to be met with a forest, though not one of the Redwood. It was filled with overgrown flora, the flowers.. almost seemed to stare at you. This didn’t even look like that derelict ARK i had been to. Had the ancients really been wrong?

I slowly arose from my place, to be met with a ship that had seemed to had crash-landed. I quickly snapped back to what had happened.

The ship sailing through the stars had fallen off course, when a field of unknown code had made such a heavy signal it impacted the ship’s coding, and so, it turned to infrastructure. It seemed to have.. turned the turbo-booster from my ship to atoms. It then suffered the great gravitational field across the surface of the ‘ozone layer’ of the derelict ARK, if you could even call it that..

But Nevermind that. I have to survive..

The ombré sunset swept across the land as the bushes of the sand dunes slowly waved in the salty breeze of the shoreline. I scuttled through the many dunes, my eyes darting toward each movement as if I was being chased. Walking on two legs, obviously. Tread tread, I kept walking. Nothing was out of the ordinary. Massive scaly reptiles bathed on the sand, as I walked past them quietly. If they did snap, then I would be able to run. They’re pretty slow. Pretty shades of pink and orange set upon the land as I kept going. Well, until I met the skeletal trees of Pearlescent Skeletons! I was in a rather good mood today, as you could probably tell. I strolled up the hill, as I looked across the bleached land of the trees. Jumping down from the hill, I walked into the woods.

There wasn’t brush, neither grass. It was a bland, dead place with only trees in the area. Though, it was pretty scary. I just had to make sure not to-

Maddie walked through the door of her cabin, in which she lived with her parents. It had been rather rough, due to her parents and most of the adults having left to fight off in the west. The sun shone down on the tribe, as she trudged through the dirty cobble paths.

It was a tough life, after all. Maddie had been living by herself, and could barely afford keeping the house by herself. She cleaned the Leiso’s family house for months now, to upkeep the cabin that she lives in. Lucas lived there, and they normally talked while she cleaned.

Up until one day, Maddie had been sent sprawling by a man on a horse.

Chapter 18

I kept thinking about that interaction. It didn’t feel right, neither wrong. Just because a mind feels darkened doesn’t mean it is villainous.

Slowly walking now, to make sure I didn’t fall again, I kept travelling before stopping at Shoreline Scopes. I had went here. The nice aroma of seawater permeated the air as the hot sand laid on the ground. I hiked down the steep slope to the shore, as I now walked on the sand. Everything wanted to kill me, everywhere. Except here. It felt nice, the warm sun on my skin. I looked at my hand, the small scratch on it from where I impacts the ground pretty hard.

Hopefully monsters can’t smell blood from miles away. I could take a break here. As I searched around, I seen a small cave in the rock face. I walked toward and into it, turning the fire on my blade on for a torch. The fire licked the rock wall, sending shadows up them. It kept dancing silhouettes on it, as I reached the cave end. I sat down, put my rucksack down and turned my blade off. Putting down some dead sticks and leaves I found on my way, i used my blade to torch the campfire.

A base, kind of. At last.

Chapter 17

+ sorry for the mild gore in the other one, I hope you can forgive me.

As I left the carcass behind covered in blood, I wiped the scarlet liquid away from my mouth. Keeping on travelling, I walked through the foliage of Cliffside canopies, the lush landscape paired with the barren mountain on which the structure was on was pretty disturbing yet fascinating. Nature grows anywhere.

Walking and walking, I started to thirst. The flesh had gotten me rather.. parched. I kept walking, hoping to find some sort of liquid to drink. Dense bushes held fruit, but do I risk it?

Grabbing one off the bush, I ate it. Hydration, for only a bit of the day. I ate another. More. It almost tasted like.. strawberries? But that couldn’t be, right? They were only on planets that Human conquered.

Because Earth died. We took the seeds off of it. We harvested everything until there was nothing left due to climate change of the atmosphere. It was a barren land when we left.

Stumbling on a vine, I was sent sprawling. I growled. A scratch. How on earth can I be left scratch free with-

I fell, collapsing to my knees. My mind whirling. What’s going on? It was too strong, I couldn’t fight it, as I just sat there, almost helpless. Time seemed to stop around me, as I stared blankly.

“Homo-sapien. Leave this land, or I will come and force you by any means possible.” A voice called. It didn’t seem human, neither a blank faced, mindless monster who would kill. It left the cracks of my mind, as I slowly came to my senses..

Chapter 16

Ugh, I’ve been hearing voices.. maybe it’s that weird centipede thing trying to communicate with me. But the tendrils of its mind seem unfamiliar. I was a psychologist and an explorer.. and I know what’s right and what’s wrong. But this thing.. it doesn’t FEEL right. Neither wrong..

I stumbled through the dense brush of Cliffside Canopies, on what I had called it. Looking at the lanyard I had since I even crashed here. My name is Thanatos. My story, well you’ve been here haven’t you?

As I kept walking, I entirely forgot about my female raptor, or whatever it w-

I jump back. A massive Aceraptor? I swear they were called that, but it’s more overgrown.. more.. scary. I step back, taking my sword out and pressing a button. Flames engulfed the blade, but didn’t melt the metal I had used. My hands toiled over this weapon in TMS’s building on stilts. I walked toward it.

Roaring, the Aceraptor charged toward me. I held my blade up in a defensive stance, and..

Cut half of its face off.

[GORE INHEAD, I WOULDNT READ ON IF SQUEAMISH]

The Aceraptor screeched in pain, its exposed skull dripping a scarlet liquid as I could even see its slowly falling brains. Gore splattered the ground. The blood evaporated on my blade as the Aceraptor’s brain slowly caught alight. I watched the thing burn, its charred carcass still dripping with the metallic looking liquid. The body seemed almost.. edible. I walked toward it and turned the everlasting flames on the blade off. Closer and closer I went, before sinking my teeth into the body. The body instantly seized up, as I tripped the chunk of flesh out. Then, I slowly consumed the flesh of it. Rotten. Ghastly even.. but it tasted GOOD. The disembodied eye rolled down from its exposed skull.

Chapter 14

“You see now?” TMS exclaimed proudly. “That’s how you fix things, hairless ape.

“Alright, idiot.” I replied coldly.

I had been living in the glowing black and blue structure for around 2 days, the centipede with a voice tutoring me on how to fix a ship. Obviously this reached my attention. She gave me a uranium reactor, which.. well obviously will power my ship. I’ll just need to backtrack further to my goal, my ship again.

“I think it’s time for my leave.” I blurted out.

“Leaving so soon… that is fine, I guess. Your kind was always traversal beings.. never stayed in one place.” TMS sighed, but then looked back at me. Her one blue eyes staring at me from its visor was mildly disturbing, but I had gotten used to it.

Packing my bags soon after wasnt a challenge, since I only had my spear and a few other things. Doing this meant I could finally go home…

After I had put all of my things into a vultrahide rucksack, I started to look around. TMS stood infront.

“To the left of here, where you came. The land fissures. Though, the sea will open up to swallow you whole. Dear, stay safe. Find your ship.” TMS said, her two main appendages at her front stuck in a praying position for my favour.

I nodded, as I started to leave the building.

++ guys, I slightly tweaked y’all’s descriptions, so here’s a few (sorry if there like, way different)

Seeper

A rarely occurring, dangerous beast in which is almost always aggressive. A viscous liquid that can morph into most things, but it’s ‘favourite’ is a quadrupedal kaprosuchus like body, with its hind legs being massive insect legs, which are a bit taller than its actual height in that form. It uses them to climb, and once in a form it can't change until its body softens back up into a liquid. It is carnivorous, and the apex predator of Cliffside Canopies (and the flesh/corpse)

MorphBird

An omnivore, which will attack only if provoked.

A tall, pitch black bird with blank white eyes. It is much like a terror bird, but unlike them, they have massive hind legs in which they can use to propel themselves into huge speeds. They have a serrated, long beak for hunting down prey (mostly fish, small mammals and lizards) and to fight. Their wings, due to their medium size, are around 2 metres long on each wing. They cannot fly for too long, due to their heavy body, but can use their wings for a sort of air pushback (like a wyvern). Their talons are sharp, and sometimes can pick things up such as a person or other small creature and glide or run it for an amount of time.

ScytheWolf

Carnivorous, ambush predator.

Around the same size as a human, taller in the males, the ScytheWolf is a predator, though nowhere near something big such as the Carcitho or Seeper. They hunt in packs, using their thin, but sharp claws and spikes on the elbow joint to stun and cripple prey, dragging it back to their pack-shared nest and devouring their prey.

The Abomination

Omnivorous

A grotesque creature that is a mix of a spino, morels tops and other dinosaurs. This thing is only found one time, and is not tamable. It is found in the ruins of what once was a bustling facility.. not much is really known bout it.

Also, I am probably being dumb but what does ohr mean? I’m guessing something like officially released but I am not too sure.

Jesus. Okay yeah so I have all of them now down into the script of the game, in which I’m using as my building block. I currently have 76 in there. Out of the 176. Help. (Im only joking I’ve got this fully under control)

By the way, some of these are gonna have to be tweaked fully due to the fact that it’s actually a grotesque mushroom that can control and infect things. Think of Haze from Grounded. But more alien and mutated.

Also, if anyone plays the game good luck with the spiders. You’re gonna need it. Believe me I’ve tested my game out already and I legit nearly threw the entire keyboard at my screen.

Name: Seepers

Beast type: Liquid

Color: Sliver to Black

Description: A terror of day and night as it can change itself into anything it wants. In its normal state it looks like a wave of metal or tar, but when transforming it’s skin color changes. It’s mouth can open wide enough to eat anything the size of a Rex! Being liquid these beasts can slip in anywhere so a house will not save you. It can take control of robots too.

Thats all I can think of so if like please add it. And if you don’t you don’t ok?

Map (s)

Glowing Fields

A biome that spans for ages, with grasses that glow during the night. Trees span the expanse, except for a few places. It is a nice, tranquil place. Except for the fauna. Maybe even in the flora.

Pearlescent Skeletons

A blank forest, with thin, spindly trees. The trees seem to emit a mixture of colour as a glow. Creatures wander the trees, most commonly camouflaging through these dense foliage.

Shoreline Scopes

A beach, with multiple overhangs and cliffs. A great place for a holiday, if you like hot sun that may or may not melt your skin and multiple semi-aquatic fauna trying to eat you at every corner.

Cliffside Canopies

A massive area where cliffhangers are common. A structure can be seen in the distance.. The rocky terrain makes it so only flora, and maybe some forms of fauna to thrive and live.

The Structure

Seething with a bluish glow, The Structure is a massive building on stilts. Nothing lives inside it, except the systems that run it.

The Flesh [THE CORPSE IF 2]

The underground. Teeming with life, blind creatures, aggressive flora, and deadly venom. This place is a harsh place to live for something like you..

The corpse is a dead place. Ash hangs in the air as if the sun has burnt through the ground. Fauna lives here, but more dangerous as they seek food and shelter from the ashy underground.

Ancient Remains

Delving deeper, you find a place full of broken ruins. A once dormant creature lives there.. including multiple of aggressive fauna out to stop your mission.

Those are the maps, the fauna count is over 100 so if I put it in here it’ll be like an age to read. But I’ll put a few.

Scarvolender : A mammal that slightly resembles the mix between an ape and deer. They have heightened intelligence and communicate between another well.

Rhyniostingers: An insect with a strong chitinous outer shell, and a massive stinger on its abdomen. It has no wings due to its massive sack it uses to store both food and venom.

ArachPanthera: A mammal species slightly resembling a lion, which is mixed with a spider. It’s a versatile species worth taking along your journey. It can clamber walls and trees (kind of like the thylacoleo) though isn’t very strong compared to most of the fauna.

That’s enough for now because if I put more in I’ll kinda spoil it.

2. It will be available early BETA on PC in around 28th December. But the full game will probably be on PC and console due it being a bigger game.

PD, I’m glad to hear your doing alright!! I’m sorry to hear you overworked yourself. Take as long as you need for this game. Five percent is pretty dang good for a single man developer on a video game!!! I hope your work goes steadfast!! Can I ask what game engine you’re using out pure curiosity and nosiness? You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to. I was just curious! I won’t bother you with anymore creature suggestions from now on because of how many I have done but I will stay around and watch for anymore updates on your end!! Be praying for you!!!
