Hey Sama! Welcome! I’m somewhat new too, but I’ll try to fill you in the best I can. So, basically, we here talk about fanfics and Ark in general. When I joined, this place was a mess, there were people just spamming adverts for the discord and ark server we have, so I kind of distanced myself and began to work solely on the “crossover” story we have. Some other fanfictioners are also working on that, and we just finished season one. Check Achatina and White Dye for the crossover. Anyways, since then, the community has gotten better, but a lot of people just don’t write anymore. I personally won’t stop writing, in fact now that it’s the summer I will probably write even more, but I do admit sometimes it does get a little boring. Good luck with your YouTube series!

Survive the Ark mission is the best mission EVER. It’s a gauntlet mission, and basically a trip down memory lane. It has waves of creatures from different biomes, maps, and all places of ark. Unlike gauntlet missions on Genesis 1, you earn points with each kill and you can use them to spawn in VR tames to help you out or get more powerful weapons. Unfortunately, my PC decided to crash in the middle of the mission, and I realized I had a bunch of important stuff in my inv. Rip my breeding pair of R-Snow owls -_-

Swamp

Now for the creatures of The Frozen Lands.

The Frozen Lands is full of new creatures for players to tame and get killed by.

The Snow Wing- a small, white creature resembling a Griffin but with a Jerboa’s face. The Snow Wing is an easy passive tame, but once tamed, it serves no use apart from being a cute companion. It can be found almost everywhere on the map.

Lemming- The lemmings in The Frozen Lands look just like normal lemmings, except they’re the size of a phioma and rideable. They have surprisingly high attack and health which makes them good tames for early players to have. It can be found everywhere on the map apart from the Ice Wasteland and the Wyvern Trench.

Cryotherium- meaning ‘Ice Beast’, Cryotherium is a large, fluffy cow like creature that is only aggressive when attacked and has a deadly charge attack which does lots of damage. It’s a knockout tame and a powerful one for early players. It can be found in all the same places as lemmings.

Icetooth- the Icetooth is a large lizard resembling a Megalania, but with large spikes of ice coming up out of its back. It’s aggressive and has two attacks, a bite attack and another attack that shoots spikes of ice at the player. It can be tamed and is a great tame for players of any level because of its deadly ice spike attack. They can only be found in the North Cold Forest and the Mountains

Iceclaw- the Iceclaw is a cat like creature with blue fur and two long arms coming out of its shoulders. Each arm ends in three long claws similar to a therezinos. This creature is deadly because it can jump really far, has an ice breath ability and powerful claw attack. It is tameable and once tamed, its claws can be extended with attachments to make them more deadly. They can only be found in the Ice Wasteland and near the Wyvern Trench.

Icemonger- a massive, Rex sized dinosaur resembling a giga but made out of ice. It is very dangerous and only high levelled players should think about taking it on. It has a ridiculous melee attack damage and can kill creatures like brontos quickly. It is a knockout tame and has a platform saddle that can have turrets and a base on it, making it very useful for high level players and tribes. It can only be found in the mountains and near the Wyvern trench.

The Froststalker- one of the largest and most powerful creatures in Ark, it is nearly the size of a titano and as strong as a giga. Only three Froststalkers can exist on the map at a time, and they all hide under the Ice Wasteland, coming out once they spot a player to chase them and kill them. These are untameable and best left alone.

The Wyvern Trench has three types of Wyvern, the ice Wyvern and the new Wyvern types, the plasma wyvern and the shadow Wyvern. The plasma Wyvern is dark blue and shoots out plasma while the shadow Wyvern is black and shoots out deadly black smoke that can kill a Rex in seconds, making it the most deadly creature on The Frozen Lands.

The boss of The Frozen Lands is the Ice King, a gigantic, wolf like creature with bird wings, a lizard tail ending with a huge stinger and the ability to breath ice, and is an extremely powerful boss to fight. It is recommended to use high level creatures to fight it and the large amount of Icemongers and Froststalkers that it spawns.

The Frozen Lands

The Frozen Lands is, as its name suggests, a map covered in snow and ice. It’s always cold, but luckily, not dangerously cold, apart from in a few areas. The safest zone is the Cold Forest, a forest covered in a thin layer of snow, it is not very cold, and relatively safe apart from the occasional lone sabertooth or terror bird. The Cold Forest is split into two zones, the north zone and the south zone, the south zone is safer than the north zone as the north zone has more predators. The Ice Lands is a large area covered in trees and ice rocks, this area is more dangerous than the Cold Forest as there’s more predators, including rexes on rare occasions. Separating the Cold Forest from the Ice Lands is a big ravine filled with ice. This is a good area for starters as it has a large river running through it, making it good to make a base next to, unfortunately, it’s the only place where sarcos spawn on this map, so you should probably stay out until you’ve got some good equipment.

Now for the nasty areas.

Surrounding the map is a massive wasteland of ice full of deadly creatures that will probably want to bite your face off. This area is dangerously cold and it won’t be long before you die without any protection. On the east side of the map is a massive chain of mountains swarming with dangerous creatures, only safe for experienced players. Even though these mountains are bad, they’re just separating an extremely dangerous area: The Ice Wyvern Trench, similar to the one on Valguero. This is probably the most dangerous place on the map and only the best players should dare go here.

Okay, since Swamp wants to hear my ideas for DLCs, here’s the first one.

The Archipelago map

The Archipelago map is a big map, mainly ocean with multiple large islands, each one different. The easiest island is the tropical island, a big island with little predators that’s good for starters. The tropical island is surrounded by many smaller islands and some bigger ones. North of the tropical islands are the ice islands, frozen islands full of predators with little prey, these are very dangerous and only safe for experienced players. In the centre of the map is a massive mountain that rises up out of the ocean, the mountain is full of resources and dangerous creatures and surrounded by a chain of dangerous volcanic islands. The ocean surrounding all the islands is extremely deep and full of danger, and in the ocean around the mountain is a big cave which leads into an underground world full of aberrant creatures. In this underground world you will find the boss creature of the archipelago map, a giant scorpion the size of a giga that sprays poison out of its stinger. Kill it and you ascend.

All right, that’s my first idea, I’ve got multiple others. Also, The Archipelago Map has no new creatures apart from the boss.

So first off, yes you do start with federation Tek armour. They recently removed damage from the tek glove’s ability, because you could just one-hit people in pvp.

Start out in the Eden zone, and if you aren’t used to tek gear abilities, then get used to them, because your gonna be using them a ton. So first off, after the cutscene you get an explorer note buff, so make cooking pots and level up as high as you can. Once you’ve done that, there’s two paths you can take:

1. Make a smithy, do a few race missions and get a harpoon gun and a net. To tame the maewing, it’s your standard tranq-and-feed.

Or

2. Make fishing baskets and go to Rockwell’s garden and catch piranha, and be sure to avoid kaprosuchus and baryonyx. If it’s a baryonyx, then fly away until it loses aggro. To tame the shadowmane, you have to put a fish basket on the last slot of your hot bar, like any passive tame and then land decently far away from the shadowmane you want to tame, crouch and walk up to it and quickly feed it the fish basket while it is asleep, it also sleeps somewhere during the day, so they are nocturnal. If done correctly, it will teleport away. If any other shadowmane aggro, then fly away until aggro is lost, and remeber these guys will teleport in to the air if your flying in their range, so be careful. Also use the taming tracker thing to find the shadowmane again. After that, you’ve gotten probably the most op mid game to early game mount. It also comes with high natural armour, don’t know if it scales with anything but here’s an example of the natural armour: let’s say you got 100.0 saddle armour for a rex, if the shadowmane had 100.0 natural armour, it would have the same amount of defense as the rex saddle. If you don’t understand what I mean, then you’ll figure it out.

3. Get a reaper king day 1. I’ll go over this one, if you really want to progress quickly in the dlc then this is your option. Somebody made a video on how to do it, it was either “teacher’s game too” or “Raasclark.”

So far, Genesis 2 is one of my favorite maps. There’s so much to explore and do, so much new features, and it’s SO BIG. I admit the fed Tek at the beginning is pretty OP, but it doesn’t give too much armor and makes the intense early game a bit more casual, which I kinda like. The missions actually connect to the storyline, and the creatures are very good and the unique taming methods are a fun change to the normal. Overall, I think it’s pretty good, although the space biome is lacking and the voidwyrm is just a Tek Wyvern.

I just wanted to tell all of y’all who are reading this that I’m here for you. I’ve got no plans of leaving D0dodex anytime soon, and even though the numbers of fanfictioners on here are dwindling, I’ll always be here. Vibing in olive dye with that psychopath who lives there. Maybe writing some Aggressive Jesus Stories.

Anyhoo, I just wanted to tell every one of you that I’m proud of you. I’ve been around for a long time because I’m a grandpa Loki variant and I’ve seen how all of you grow. Over time you’ve all blossomed into amazing people and it’s so awesome to see.
