People saying use Doedicurus or Ferox, as far as I’m aware on extinction if you’ve got a good bred Mantis hit the element nodes when you finish the defense with a pick or hatchet doesn’t matter pick the one with the highest melee(remember to hit the big node last otherwise it destroys all the other smaller nodes) to get tons of element dust, element shards and actual boss element. Also for the tek creatures, enforcers and droidekas (defense unit) in the sanctuary biome use the chainsaw it’s far superior to any creature. Tested on extinction.

For people on pve servers,we usually trade things,dinos upgraded BP's,and other resources for dust,so if you can/do play on pve,save up dust. It will help

A their levels in power is the best for gathering this from tek creatures make sure to use it mane attack

The c attack only gathers scrap metal

Imagine killing a dino who did nothing to deserve this, just to sniff some “salt”

You can harvest dust fast if take a tek stryder into zero g (space biom) just don't forget to set the dedi storage, any tek animal drops dust when you kill them.

Just go for the tables there are so many together you will get plenty

Fyi, chainsaws CAN NOT destroy stuff except trees. So they cant gather element dust
