Tips & Strategies

What are tips for raw prime meat? Tips and strategies for raw prime meat in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
The first two creatures you would want to kill for prime meat are diplodocus and Titanoboas.
Brontosaurus’s have a lot at prime meat if you kill them they can give you loads of meat and prime meat
Get a strong, big tame and head to the swamp. Tall enough so that the Kapros can’t get you, but strong enough to survive the swamp, something like a Spino or Rex. Now, just completely massacre the Paracers, they drop like 10 per kill, if you’re lucky 20. If you need normal meat too thats a good way too, like 100-200 meat per paracer.
does it look like a dodo leg and thigh to you even the titanoboas and other creatures that drop prime is weird
If you know you are going to tame something, or you have something trapped, go to your base and get fertilized dodo eggs by breeding dodos. Hatch them, and kill the babies. Each baby should give 4-6 prime with a decent metal pick, eggs only weigh 0.5, and it takes one or two torches to get them warm enough.
Use a high lvl rex just kill everything then put it in an industrial grill keep doing that and youl never run out of prime jerky
If you need some in the snow biome kill some juvenile kairuku I just picked them up with an argy and killed them also as a bonus you get organic polymer
I play on 1x gather rate on the baby penguins give me 3-11 raw prime meat per baby make sure you use a pickaxe tho
Kill Parcers. They have relatively low health and drop 2-5 most of the time.
If you have something like a high level Spino or Rex, then go into the swamp and kill Paracers, they drop like 20 each and they’re everywhere. If you choose a tame other than a Spino or Rex, just make sure it’s tall so that Kapros can’t get you
If you want loads of prime meat with very little effort just go to the swamp with a rex or any other strong dino and kill all the crocodiles, snakes and weird big guys you'll get so much prime meat
Killing babies gives you prime meat, no matter what kind.
Tame dodos. Make a dodo pit (2x2 thatch hut with a ramp.) Put 1 male any level with 3-4 females any level. Breed dodos. Collect eggs with Whip. Hatch eggs. Kill all the males. Harvest with a Rex or pick. Females go in the pit with the rest of the dodos. LOTS of prime.
baby penguins not anything else you will appreciate me
This is the best thing to tame a giga with
For everyone saying the best way to get prime is to kill babies, it’s not the best way is actually to kill an alpha raptor. If you are ready to tame larger carnivores you are probably ready to take one out. They give about 30 stacks of prime, so about 60 in total, wich should be enough to tame pretty much every carnivore. The only thing is that you have to find the alpha first but they are pretty common
Always remember this the gatherers are represent in alphabetically it is important because can be the top dinos are waste in that material gathering
Y'all are terrible at tips, just kill some paracers with normal shotgun and harvest with ascendant pick (Found in cave of hunter artifact tributing).
You can end up with 8-16 raw prime meats from 1 paracer and they're quite slow with noticably less AoE than brontos and have less health than brontos.
Enjoy your meal, buddy.
In ASA, find a baby and kill it for quick prime
On ASA you can kill babies and harvest it with a leveled mosschops or pickaxe. I get stacks when I’m on icebergs killing penguins for O poly even without prime meat mosschops levels.
