Me and my friend are plotting…
On scorched, he’s never had a wyvern before and so I (I’m quite experienced, not a brag but to set the scene) said: “hey, those moths slow you down, right? With their puff of fart whatever it is, right?” He said something like “yeah…” so I said, “so what if we got a flock of these on aggressive, got the egg and flew out through them on the way back to slow and distract the wyverns?” He said “Yeah,” then I said “and what if we use the calming scent of the pachyrhinosaurus to help against the wyverns?” He said “yeah!” So I said, “so should go tame them?”
Now it’s the only way he gets eggs- we’re 67 moths and 23 pachyrhinos strong and are improving
I know, you may never believe me,
But,,,,
These Moths can be used for greatness!!, not just standing around looking pretty on your rooftops!,
You can Trust Me, because I’ve done it! I’ve ridden on one of these and successfully stole a level 20
Lightning Wyvern Egg, and escaped back to base without a single wyvern chasing me thanks to some help thought I must admit, ahem, my small vulture army i sent to distract the eggs mother as she was the only wyvern in that immediate area,
Once that Egg hatched, while the Lvl was low Bubble-Gum the mainly Cyan and Pink highlighted Lightning Wyvern became the very reason I was able to tame good level argys so I could get better wyverns like my Army of High levels I now have , one which is specifically a Lighting Wyvern has neary 1000 attack damage!.
But in the end the thanks truly goes back to My Moth, whose name WAS LAMP….Yes with all Capitals, LAMP sadly was lost ,during and expedition of trying to gather more eggs before I got any other wyverns other than Bubble-Gum,,,killed by a dozen Wyverns in the very place LAMP first robbed them of one of their eggs…….R.I.P LAMP you made my scorched earth progress possible! And even now on Fjordur which I made my main map, while I attempt to make an army of rexes and more, even though LAMP is gone, Bubble-Gum remains safe and pretty much retired at my scorched earth base,
Never Forget LAMP The Lymantria.

These are the friggin cutest thing ever (in my opinion) to tame and make little chirrup sounds so I would recommend just getting an army of them and putting them inside your personal base (not for Dinos) on a PVE or single player and just chill, very stress relieving to just have a bunch of cuddly moths around you for me. Helps me at least when stressed on ark, not being stressed helps a lot. Pretty random but idk
For an easy tame, wait for the Lymantria to land and then place a tent directly where he/she is at. Its stuck until the tents durability dies out, this gives you enough to build a little house around it for a safe, easy tame.
Use this to get Rock Drake/Wyvern/Deinonychus eggs
And when they aggro, fart on those demons 😂
An easy was to tame a Lymantria us to use a bola on it then shot it in the face with tranq arrows or darts.

The Lymantria is a moth-like creature that can expel a cloud of poisonous spores. While its slow flying speed make it a less suitable flying mount for transportation, survivors can use its spores to slow down enemies.
What does a Lymantria eat? In ARK: Survival Evolved, the Lymantria eats Regular Kibble, Archelon Algae, Crops, Mejoberry, Berries, Fresh Barley, Fresh Wheat, or Soybean, and Dried Wheat.
