Tried using the mining drill on crystal islands but not getting any shards

Mining drills do not works for element shards on crystal isles.

Use the mining drill in the volcano on genesis on red crystals and then take the shards to a tek replicator to make loads of element

Mantis+ hatchet= good shard farm

On Fjordur in the Abberation cave are stones that drop Element shards, and the loot drops there are insane as well

On crystal isles DO NOT USE the mineing drill for this resorce it dosent work ankys are top for this

Stryders on gen 1 and gen 2 differences: on gen 1 you can farm element 24/7 but not much on 1x maybe 200 hard element per run (converted from shards). And with gen 2 you can only farm element when there’s purple drops but when you do you can farm easily over 1000 hard element on 1x(converted from shards) your welcome! - From T8 DumbDinosaurClub

Useing a hachet is better for more shards outcome, because the shard is substituted by rocks

On gen 2 you can use a chainsaw on the giant flytraps. Just make sure they aren’t awake/open or else they knock you out.

A great way to get this on Fjordur is to get 2 people one rides a giga in the front and the 2nd rides a strider behind the giga go down into the magmasaur cave and collect all of it with the strider it’s dangerous but works well. (get a dedicated storage box and link the strider to it before going to get element)

Mantis with 400% melee and a 200 damage hatchet will net you roughly 80 ele worth of shards in 20 minutes in 1x

Fjordur Ab Cave

Normalish rocks drop Shards. Magmasaurs do not seem to be able to havest them tho.

Rock Elemental on Gen 2 great in void for the mutagel including element and the shards

In my experience, on Gen 1, an anky harvests more than the mining drill. Potentially this list means ascendant mining drill, as mine was just the standard primitive one.

Crystal isles use a stryder get thousands vs hundreds with an anky

Probably the best way to get shards is in Genesis 2 in that space area, just get a stryder and link it to a dedicated storage box and farm away.

Using the strider to harvest shards on gen 2 in space will easily net you 1 million shards in about an hour. Using any other method of element grind is an absolute waste of time.

Striders are easily the best.

1st you can have them linked to a dedicated storage so you are taking up any weight.

2nd they harvest a toooooon
