To trap all you need is 3 stone Dubble door frames 1 foundation and 2 ramps

put the foundation down

2 frames stacked on the front

1 frame on the back

2 ramps connected to the 1 frame on the back

Hit yuty make it run it the trap from the ramps

Kill the carnos

Knock out tame it and boom yuty

When I was taming mine, it fell into a gorge. After that I just shot it from the top of the gorge, when it ran I got on my bird and flew to the bottom of the gorge and shot it. It later fell to the ground where I fed it meat and tamed him. I named him Copper, and he’s very useful, and I recommend him for boss fights

Build a trap out of 4x3 stone foundations and 2 stone doors high, then build a ramp on one side so that it can walk into the trap and can’t get out. Then kite one over the trap so it walks into it using a wyvern as they don’t get affected by the fear roar. Spinos also work because they can walk over the two wall high walls.

They spawn mostly in the Arctic to my knowledge, they arn't hard to trap, just use a taming raft.

These are one of my favorite tames but they are quite difficult to get. DO NOT USE A FLYER. They will panic and you will not be able to control them. Which can get you killed. I recommend using a rex with very high health to lure it away from any other predators but make sure it’s on passive so it doesn’t kill the yuty. Dismount while it’s aggro on rex and use best gun as possible with tranq darts. Keep an eye on the Rex’s health though. (I recommend several people and a backup rex) -a really cool person

This guy litreally always has a team of like 3 carnos or allows or whatever again at this point so yeah…

With the new map genesis a yutyranus x will take atleast the double of what it's writhing with priimitif weapon if you got good no you might be ok but I recommend you to bring double

They are the best! And they don’t drown when you knock them out in water

I will never go back to tedious taming traps again now that the net exists! It took me about 5 nets using SHOCK darts to knock out a level 140, and the nets have about 10 seconds before they can be used on the same dino again. Net it, tranq it, get back on your flier, wait, and land to repeat the process again. I did this by myself with little trouble other than getting the yuty to not run into water.

Also watch it when yiu think you're about to KO it. It can be hard to tell at first glance whether it is simply trapped in the net or fully knocked out.

I would recommend trying to lure this into a trap if you can. They run fast when torpor gets high and they also tend to think they are fish. Megalodons love when you give them a free meal.

Let me give you some advice if can don’t try and solo tame these things it’s a pain trust me I tamed my first one it took over a hour and a half just to get it trapped but when trapped super easy tame when you get rid of Carnos

Tamed a level 36 by luring the carno followers away, taking them out and tranquilizing her from above. Got her stuck on rocks in the process and I was high enough that the scream didnt effect my argy. Easy tame. No more than 100 narcotics, gather a bunch of prime meat while taming.

for fast taming you can go to settings and increase the Dino Hunger to 100 it helps in increasing the speed of the taming process it is very effective.

FYI= Don't use it while riding your dinosaur ❌

One of the most fearsome sights to behold in a snowy wasteland is a Yuty surrounded by its consort of Carnos. If you want to tame this thing you need to be prepared, but you can tame it on the fly if you want. You will need, depending on how big trap you want:

- about 8-10 stone foundations

- about 24-28 stone door frames

- about 8-10 stairs

You just make a trap about 2x8 or 2x10 (width, length).

On one of the long sides of the trap lay your stairs and make sure to switch the stair mode to ramp.

You will need a speedy mount at least (flyer recommended). You will need to lure the carnos away from the Yuty first either over a cliff or just kill them if you have an Argy or Ptera. Once done you can lead the Yuty into your trap.

Knock it out using about 80-90 tranq arrows and a crossbow.

You then need to have either prime meat, mutton or you can use regular raw meat if you have nothing else but will take longer. (If you preparing for it then maybe good to have a fridge nearby so you can farm for prime meat and store it there and feed to Yuty once it starves). You may need up to 800 narco berries OR 350 narcotics if you tame using raw meat. But if using prime meat mainly you only need about 100 narcotics.

Using a small trap can help with the knockout process as they get distracted very easily.

Net and build a trap with x3 Dino doorways and x2 gates around body. Then KO with tranq darts or narc arrows.

PS make sure their feet are inside the trap as they can stand up outside your trap.

Trap it in a trap and get prime meat before you take it

To tame a Yuty I use gigant doorframes (4-6 depending on how daring you are) and 2 Doors to keep on the outer frames. Kill off the carnos and lead your Yuty into the line of frames and trap it by closing the last gate. The best is that the trap can stay after taming if you would need another Yuty since they are easy to lead with a flier as long as you keep a distance, if you use vanilla structures you can pick everything up again to place again. Also remember! Yutys are slow eaters and will need narcotics so bring a bunch to be safe and have something that can Hunt prime Meat while it tames.

Get to somewhere high, like a mountain, then the tranq the Yuty until it starts running, once it runs the carnos will mostly likely run away as well due to their leader going bye-bye. Then it will run in circles attacking everything except for you. Then tranq it some more, but make sure to hit it. This is at least what happened when i tamed one solo.
