I tamed my first one with an imprinted mantis equipped with primitive clubs, it got extremely close to dying when it got knocked out it was at 174 hp so I rlly wouldn't recommend a using mantis bc if I accidentally hit it one more time it would have been dead

I just got mine stuck, so I shot the carnos and tranqed the yuty from afar

Pre build a large enough trap, 3x3 is enough and at least 2 walls high.

Find your target, use tek skiff to pick the yuty up.

It will NOT be able to roar at you while in the skiffs beam.

Drop it in you trap, keep your distance and start the KO process.

Done

Since I play on unofficial servers my settings and really scuffed but if you play on janky settings like me all you need to do is just knock it out then give it some tasty food and just wait a wile for it to be all tamed up. make shore you too up it’s torpor every now and again because if it’s a high level it will take a decent amount of time.

These guys are not that badass despite their army of carnos. So be careful when trying to tame one because they will die easily to anything in snow biome lmao. I've just lost a colorful high level one to mammooths and wolves 😭😂 ark is HARD

Yutys are a pain to tame because of there roar and for some reason they fit through small gates. But they are really good for bosses once’s you have one

Obvious to many, but not to all. Use a hover skiff to pluck it from the carno mosh pit and drop in your taming pen. Done! Hover skiff for the win!

Best way it to knock it out with range getting up close is much harder

Solo tame it halfway threw realize your disgusting for solo taming it

Just used raw mutton and at 46.1% tamed, the taming effectivness is at 48.4%.

Griffins don't flee, so just hop on your griffin and tranq away.

JSYK, the no damage to large creatures bug was supposedly fixed, so try taking on a brontosaurus or something just to be safe, and if it can be killed, then go kill some gigas.

Quetz platform with s+ tranq turret on top with shocking tranq dart perch on edge of a cliff and let the turret do the work kill all dire wolves in area and once tamed get it on platform and fly away with it

Reker

Use a Griffin and Crossbow to lure it to a taming pen. Also grabbing whatever small creature it's trying to eat after hitting it will really piss it off to chase you. Griffins also have perk of not getting feared by it's roar.

Use dazzerdwicked's mums mutton to take in minutes
