Pls pls make sure you move your Agry far away from it when you are trying to tame. I'm still in that starter to mid game area and I had found a 150 Yuty. I thought oh blessed let me grab that. When and farmed all resources needed for the trap , went out to snow biome again which is pretty far from my base, trapped him then my Argy even though it was set to passive decided it wanted all that smoke went and hit him like 5 times. I didn't realize at the time that it had done so much damage, so I kept shooting thanks until it died. Moral of the story, don't shoot you tame after a Dino hits it let it regain it's health if it happens, and keep those pesky birds away from it!
