When I was taming my yutyrannus it was a little ez, all you need to do is kill the carno or when the yutyrannus and carnos are fighting hit the yutyrannus and trap it,pit 9 stone block on the ground where you want to team it and 24 walls and 4 or 2 lage trap and leave 1 side open and if you want you can leave a dead body in the trap and block off the open side when you get the yutyrannus in the trap

For trying to tame one of these beast you do not want to be on a mount.you’ll need a trap 6 wood or stone foundations and about 16 doorframes.and you have to lead the yuty in by yourself.after it’s in the trap tranq it and it’s yours!

If you build a trap out of wood. Run

one of the most annoying things about the Yuty is the fear roar, avoid it by staying behind the yuty every 5 sec or so.. You can pull him to your trap, it is just you need to pull him and avoid his roar again and again.

Do not let it roar near you or your Dino because it will give you blindness and it will make you unsteady

They can scare your dinos with their roar. When scared, they go out of control, you can’t do anything about it. But it has no effect on Wyverns, so use a Wyvern if you wanna tame this fluffy dude.

Whenever you are in a boss fight you can use the yutys courage roar which buffs your tames.And I know a lot of people out their use yuty only for its roar but common guys it can fight as well it's only a bit weaker than rex so give it a chance and also get into battle

It gives buff to all your tames when you use its roar.

It helps very much in boss fights

Not many know but the courage roar actually gives stamina regeneration, for example courage roar an argy then take off on it and you'll see it's stam go not down.

Easy to tame with a net gun and managarmr, kill carnos with mana jump away to a safe distance net the creature and boom you knocked it out

It's roar usually makes your dino scared and flees with you in no control. BUT I once have only been hit by a bit of the roar and only felt a bit scared and I was still I'm control. Proctodons, flyers, baryonyx is the best I suggest for escaping this wild beast. Goodluck survivors!

Fear roars very scary especially when you’re taking a ferocious and the things chasing after you and you don’t have control

Very very very very very annoying they blind you and kill you but very good tames

I tamed two solo. One on the Island and the other on The Center. I used terrain to my advantage. One thing I'll say is forget the carnos. Tranq the yuty until it runs. Use the time to kill the carnos since their leader is booking it. Then finish tranqing the yuty.

How to tame a Yuty with 3 large bear traps, a longneck and some tranqs:

1. Locate Yuty.

2. Align large bear traps in a straight line (each one has a bit of distance in between) a good distance away from the Yuty.

3. Clear area of large creatures, as they may fall into the traps.

4. Wait until the Yuty and it’s carnos move in to attack something.

5. Shoot the Yuty with a tranq after it has roared. The Yuty will then chase you while the carnos continue attacking their first target.

6. Shoot as many tranqs into the Yuty as you can while running back to the bear trap line set before.

7. Yuty will run over and become trapped in the bear trap, allowing the player to pump tranqs into it.

8. Kill the Yuty’s carnos, who were far too late in their task of defending their master, and feed the Yuty the carno meat >:)

9. Name it Abunga

NOTE: technically only 1 bear trap is needed if you perform perfectly, however I like to have backups placed in case a trap or two are tripped on accident, or it takes more than 1 trap for the Yuty to knock out (the higher the level, the higher the chance this will happen).

In my opinion this is way more resource and time efficient than a traditional stone wall trap. Hope this helps! :3

Okay so I know that crystal Wyverns get affected by the yuty’s roar but now regular Wyverns are also affected too?! Since when?

I encounterd many of these in the North. The first one I killed on OP setings. The next time I saw two with a total of seven Carnos. I flew down on my Argy to see what they where attacking...and BOOM! Suddenly the Yuty took control of my argy! I couldn't control it! Next time I encounter one of these I will be more careful.

Last time I tamed me one seemed the Yuty yell did not effect my Quetz in any way.

The carnos are simps kill them so that they don't kill you and your team end up messing up your taming.
