Funny story, I one time tamed a whole bunch of dodos just to try to do a boss fight. I got 20 dodos and used it in the king titan boss fight all of them. Yes they did all die.
This is how you tame it
1. Knock it out
2. Let your tribe mates do the work
3. Ride it around and claim you solo tamed it
It screams at You until you turn and run and gets other dinos to gang up on you. I call her the "ex-wife".
