For Gen 1, top of the line land mount to travel around with. Most things don't aggro, Fears ALMOST everything including other Yutys (takes a couple roars tho). Pump mostly HP & Stam and maybe some dmg, the increase isn't really that great per point tho. Which is fine since fear roar increases your dmg output anyways,if you need it. Plus when taming other X-Variants that extra damage helps a bit as well so good for taming.

You'll need 3 prim crossbows and 250 ish arrows to get a high level X-Variant tho. You can try tranq darts but that's pretty expensive.

Great alternative to setting up spike walls. Just set it to turret mode and aggressive.

Fun to tame and hard to kill,.can recruit alpha carno. Best way to kill is with allosaurs, the bleed can separate it from the carnos. This is very useful for taming, as long as you don't find another, they kill each other when wild.

Maximum size of creatures it can fear roar is rexes, which are just as hard to tame

Honestly what I do to tame it is get my Desmodus and shoot it from far away. Yes, it does get affected by the roar but that is why am at a decently far distance. You gotta be really good at aim tho. I usually use my bat for lots of tames. Pretty easy for most dinos.

If you have Desmodus, attach to a wall and fire one dart. The UT will fear roar but you won't detach and you can wait it out. After, just fire away until he runs, then detach from wall and chase and shoot. Took me about 15 minutes of chasing but he didn't fear roar after he started running. Used this after traps failed me

Yuty always has a couple Carnos with it so tameing it’s extra hard and plus the is a less than 1% chance for one of the Carnos to be an alpha but once you take it it’s a beast ow you can Easley just make a trap for it and the Carnos have a small chance to turn on the yuty.

They obsessively go after wild dinos. If you carry one one your flier they'll follow you to try and get the wild dino. Easily lead it to traps like this. Just make sure there's nothing else around to attract its attention.

It has carnos working for it shocking tranq darts is a very good strategy but remember a l p h a c a r n o s

Ok, first get it aggrod on u and have your trap ready and get ready for the run of your characters life and run like your life depended on it bc it does and run it into the trap

Mine got stuck in a rock so i shot it from a far distance till it got knocked out chances are i won't get that lucky again. Oh and if there are carnos around it they'll run when its big boi is about to be knocked out.

Wood signposts is ur best friend when it comes to taming and can be used for most things

Fly on quetz with platform saddle,get it agro on u fly up , shoot with train darts the whistle quetz to target it cuz quetz slow continuously shoot the yuty till knocked out

When taming a yutyrannus USE A TRAP, they scream at u, ur gonna be sorry. Also some people tell me "Dont use traps there a waste of time, tools, and stuff so never use a trap" If ur one of those people, let me just say I gave u a warning of USE A TRAP it's worth it ;)

Taming- ditch your Dino they will just cause problems. Kill off all of its minions. And THEN tranq it out, be careful that it doesn’t get hit, they have a low health stat and take significant damage.

Easy to trap. 3x3, 1 wall high, ramps on all sides. Lead the yuty and friends in, pick off the carnos, knock the yuty, feed, enjoy.

The best tactic to tame them I find is to use 4 stone Dino gates and gateways, kill the car is from afar, then lead him into the pen, have a bear trap ready to stop him from biting you as you close the gates. Then us tranq arrows. Warning: do not forget to put the gates in the gateways, they can fit through the gateways

When breeding, the juveniles and adolescents can feed from trough. For babies, use a maewing or hand feed raw meat into their inventory. Confirmed today the juveniles feed from trough which contradicts several wikis.
