Chapter 46: Red sky
—By Moon
Jethezzar was flying around the Shadowkeep, his wings beating fast and his gaze searching the ground. He wanted to be tucked back away in his room, but Milo had burst in and said that intruders had gotten in and out of the keep, and Jethezzar needed to find them before they got away.
He couldn't focus though. Even if the kids were hiding somewhere, he wouldn't have seen them. His mind went right back to the image of the bear, jumping out to protect its ally. Jethezzar had turned and fled back to the keep as quick as he could, glancing back every few seconds as if expecting the bear to somehow be following him, coming after him to finish the fight.
He forced away his scared and guilty expression.
Just then, he noticed a sudden light spread across the ground, a dim red glow. Jethezzar’s eyes widened in disarray, and a sense of Déjà vu sunk in and went through his veins, causing his blood to run cold.
He didn’t dare look up at the sky. Spiraling down back towards the ground, he landed with a thump and went up to the entrance, preparing to go inside and this time not come back out.
Then a burst of violet and black light erupted from the top of the Shadowkeep. He stopped, staring as the beam shot out and stretched down towards the midst of the city.
“What the heck…” He breathed.
He watched the beam fly down to the city, before shaking himself. Drawing his wings back up and lifting off, he flew towards the light and watched as it sunk down to where it hit and disappeared. He flapped his wings and glided down till he was at the same height as most of the buildings, and slowed down in confusion, wondering if he should go any further.
He landed on a random balcony, looking out to see if he could locate where the light had gone.
Then suddenly, a large window from beside him slid open and a creature wrapped their wings around his head, yanking him through the window. He let out a muffled screech and collapsed onto the hard floor, looking up with a hiss at his attacker.
At first he thought it was the Wyvern he had seen before, the one that was part of the enemy. But this was a different Ice Wyvern with a much more confident and furious expression and a flurry of deep blue scales on her throat and tail. She released him gently, though she still seemed to have her guard up, as did Jethezzar.
“You.” she hissed at him. “Why am I here, and what is going on? You must know. You better know!”
He rubbed his neck where her claws had grazed him and shrugged, standing up. This didn’t appear to be someone against him. “Who knows,” he admitted.
“You have to know something! What is happening and why is the moon suddenly red like that?”
He blinked, finally glancing out the window to see what she meant. Above them, the moon was huge and dull blood red, glowing high up in the scarlet sky. Jethezzar exhaled through a slightly open mouth, stepping back.
“Answer me?” The Ice Wyvern demanded questioningly.
“Um–” He turned back around but didn't look at her, his eyes fixed on the floor ahead instead as he fought himself silently. “I really don’t know.”
She growled and he inhaled and exhaled, not able to pay attention to her.
“...What are you doing?” She asked after a second, looking both bothered and concerned.
“I, uh-” He tried to find words and found himself hyperventilating, absolutely freaking out inside. “I think I’m— I’m having some sort of panic attack or something–”
She stared at him with a deadpan look, watching as he waved his folded wings up and down in a frantic motion.
She opened her mouth to speak. “A– can– hey, can you just– HEY!” She struck a blow to his head with the edge of her wing and he stopped as he was hit, his yellow eyes looking at her in startled offense.
“Calm. Down,” She said to him in an exasperated tone. “You’re a full grown freaking Wyvern, for Vardilands sake.”
“Vardiland?” He echoed.
“Don’t interrupt me! Anyway, I don’t know what your issue is, but you need to suck it up so I can understand what’s happening in this place.”
Jethezzar swallowed slowly, unreplying. She sighed. “You’re no help. Guess I’m going to go find out for myself. Ehh, and you’re coming with me.” She wrapped her tail around him and dragged him forwards, and he hissed rebelliously and tore himself away from her, then hesitated as she moved on. He groaned quietly and followed after her.
“What’s your name?” The Ice Wyvern asked, not looking back at him. “I’m Zeer, for your information.”
“Jethezzar,” He answered as Zeer squeezed out the window from before and glanced over at him.
“That’s a funny one,” She observed. “What does it mean?”
“It… It doesn’t mean anything,” He said.
“Ugh. All Wyvern names should mean something,” She said. “Mine means something fun, but you’re not finding out from me any time soon, hah!”
He watched her silently as he exited the window as well, looking sideways at the sky again and ignoring it.
Zeer most definitely didn't seem like a Wyvern from his world, or at least from the timeline he was in.
“Are you from Pandora’s time?” He chose to ask, his tail flicking.
She paused and turned her gaze back to him again, her heterochrome eyes flashing. “You know Pandora?”
~
Sig was the first to advance. She came forward and whipped her tail down towards Aragorn and Sylveevve, roaring as Sylveevee threw the element ball towards the Reaper’s face. Sig stepped back as it exploded in front of her, and her tail just barely missed them, instead flying sideways and crashing into a small shop that sent debris flying across the ground.
A few meters away, Arianna stumbled to her feet beside Moonbeam, who quickly helped her up and looked on as Sig pursued Aragorn. Orbit pulled himself up slowly from a little ways away.
There was another crash as Sylveevee shifted into a Quetzalcoatlus and attacked Sig from behind, flapping her wings and latching onto the Reaper’s back.
Aragorn skidded to a halt and planted his feet, and shadow’s morphed into view around him and the buildings. They swiftly snaked towards Sig’s back talons, wrapping around her and holding her in place. She snarled and smacked Sylveevee away, who quickly shifted back to her human form.
“Let’s go,” Moonbeam exclaimed, glancing at Arianna, who nodded and climbed on top of her. She then ran forwards and pounced towards Sig, whose eyes lit up with fury as she swiped one huge set of claws their way.
“No!” Orbit jumped from the side and pushed them out of the way, and Moonbeam landed hard on the street’s ground, claws scraping and Arianna holding onto her back tightly.
“Orbit!” Moonbeam yelled.
“I’m not losing you!” He roared from where he stood.
Moonbeam's spines bristled like a furious cat and she said back, “You won’t, you can trust me to stay safe!”
“Quit arguing!” Sylveevee said out of nowhere, stopping beside them in the form of a Shadowmane. “C’mon!”
Orbit looked at Moonbeam, a worried guilt in his eyes as Sylveevee went to attack the half-trapped Sig. Moonbeam looked over at Orbit lovingly and then shot forward alongside Sylveevee, and the two attacked Sig with quick and fierce strength. Sig let out a screeching roar, her tail lifting before being smacked down and pinned under Moonbeam’s paws. Sig snapped in frustration at the shadow’s winding around her chest, before swiveling her head Aragorn’s way, her eyes glowing.
“Let go,” She hissed in Aragorn's mind. Aragorn grinded his teeth together and felt his power waver for a moment. But he held on strongly, not daring let it slip.
Then Orbit was there, too, jumping onto Sig’s head and yanking her downwards. Her snout landed with a thump on the ground and she hissed from the impact. Sylveevee stepped and placed one paw on the Reaper Queen’s muzzle, digging her claws in. “Yield or else,” she ordered firmly.
Sig cracked a small smile, her fangs showing. “I… would… nev–”
It was then that the moon turned slowly red. Sig paused, her eyes flicking to the sky, before a dark beam of black and purple light shot from far away. It soared through the sky over their heads and Aragorn, Arriana and the Shadowmanes looked up to watch it.
“Would you look at that,” Sig murmured slyly.
~
Aurora looked up in fear and awe, the light coming from the Shadowkeep reflecting in her eyes. “What is that?” She said softly.
Moments later, as the battles of the city ensued, a dark, shadowed creature flew up and hovered high in the sky, inverted eyes staring down and giant wings beating.
“This world will be mine.”
Chapter 45 The Omega Timeline
Sylveevee luckily landed on her feet after being brought falling from a voice “Delicious, delicious prey” the voice said again but in her mind sylveevee got into a fighting stance she saw a reaper walking up to them she knew to not trust it she pulled out her sword and got into a fighting stance she looked at aragorn who was getting up from the fall sylveevee looked back at the reaper “over my dead body reaper, fight me you wont eat us, i wont go down without a fight” sylveevee said determined to beat the reaper sylveevee had her sword ready to attack she hoped that they could beat the reaper “a determined one” the reaper sig said getting into q fighting stance ‘i wont let this reaper kill my friends eat them’ sylveevee thought with a elemental ball in her other hand while holding a sword in the other hand she got ready to fight..

Chapter 44: Rockwell Rising
Rockwell stood next to the terminal. He scratched his head. ‘I’ve never seen anything like this since.... Anyway. This Tek is different... I wonder...’ Rockwell thought. He accessed the terminal and clicked items. He then clicked on a syringe full of purple liquid, a glass bottle full of red liquid, a bowl full of of assorted vegetables, and a bowl full to the brim of mindwipe tonic. As soon as the items spawned in. Rockwell grabbed them and mushed them with a mortar and pestle. Once they became a liquid state. Rockwell looked at it. ‘Seems harmless, other then the fact that it looks like puréed cow droppings. Could be poisonous. I’ll take those chances.’ Rockwell drank the entire bowl. Rockwell felt a powerful feeling in his stomach. He then vomited. ‘Test #1 for perfected element, failure. Mixing Liquid Element with Healing brew, mindwipe tonic, and Fria Curry, creates actual cow dropping.’ Rockwell thought. The next result was the same, except instead of cow droppings it tasted like moldy Brussel sprouts. He tried fourteen different combinations. Finally he found one that he was sure would work. A mixture of Liquid element, Mutagel, nameless venom, Element ore, and a Crystal talon. Rockwell crushed them in the mortar and pestle. Then to top it off he added salt water. It was now a reddish color. Rockwell injected it into his amputated arm. His arm glowed red for a second then turned purple as the element worked its way into him. Rockwell grimaced. Dejà vu. The cloth on his amputated arm ripped as his arm regrew. He screamed in agony. His skin started bubbling as if it was being boiled. Then as fast as all the pain had come, it vanished. He sighed in relief. His skin returned to normal. He heard a loud bang as Ember huddled into the room. “I hope my escape will go unnoticed...” ember mumbled. He then stopped and gaped when he saw Rockwell. A weird glow was settled around Rockwell, like an Alpha raptor, but it was purple. Rockwell’s eyes were blank white. Ember stepped back and chuckled nervously. Rockwell smiled and ran right past Ember, out the door. To the battle field....

Chapter 39: Observatories
-By Moon
“Everyone, come here! C’mon!”
The villains began walking over to where Dr. Bubba was calling from by the black Obelisk. Samuel, who was just coming out from one of the Shadowkeeps halls, stopped where he was and watched them with an unreadable look.
“Almost ready,” Dr. Bubba was saying.
Drain came up to stand in between Dr. Bubba and Pat, his eyes wide with anticipation. He glanced back at the others and asked, “Where’s Jethezzar?”
“Ran off again or something, who cares?” Ember said.
“ABSTRACTION COMPLETE,'' the terminal said loudly. “‘THE RIDDLES OF THE PHOENIXES SERIES’ CHARACTER: MICHAEL, ‘THE ARKS OVER HEAVEN’ CHARACTER: JERRY, ‘FJORDUR’ SERIES CHARACTER: ZEER, AND ‘PANDORA CHRONICLES’ CHARACTER, PRINCE CALDREN, ABSTRACTED.”
Just then two humans appeared on the edge of the terminal, followed by a Wyvern and what appeared to be a hybrid of a Dinopithecus and Gigantopithecus. They all blinked and looked around.
“Interesting,” Rockwell said from his place by the others, watching eagerly.
One of the humans, young with brown hair and a black suit, stared in shock and confusion. The other was a bit older, and he took a step back with his eyes flicking across each of the villains. “What the hell?”
“Woah!” Prince Caldren exclaimed, looking down at himself. “I’m not– I’m not dead!”
The Wyvern, Zeer, was standing in place. She lifted a talon to her mottled blue throat and looked at it, before setting it down and glaring at all of them. Then she spread her wings quicker than rushing water and flew away, over their heads and out of the Shadowkeep. Everyone stared after her in disappointment.
“Where am I?” The younger human called Micheal said. “How did I get here? What’s happening!?”
“We are your allies,” Dr. Bubba said, turning his head back from watching Zeer fly off. “And we’ve brought you here to help us.”
“What?” Micheal cried. “No! I demand you bring me back this instant! Do you not know who I am?”
“Apparently not,” Sig said with a small smile, glancing at Apex.
Micheal blinked wide eyes at Sig, shrinking slightly. Jerry was scrutinizing all the villains and his surroundings, keeping quiet with his hands to his sides. Prince Calren gazed up at the Shadowkeep’s walls and stepped forwards, looking alert but curious.
“I think there’s enough of us now to proceed with the plan,” Willow said plainly.
“Which plan?” Captain Shortstacks asked. “Not that any of them actually sound sensible, mind you, but which idea of a plan in particular do you mean.”
Willow shot him a look. “We’ll figure a better one out. Right now.”
“Plan t-to do what?” Micheal asked. Calren and Jerry listened intently.
“You’re part of our team now,” Ember said, walking over and looking Micheal in the eyes. “Deal with it.”

Jethezzar wasn’t sure what he was thinking. He flew over the tall figures of the city that was all so strange to him, the sky dimming as evening began to end. He looked downwards, scouting the place for any of the creatures or humans that were against his group. Well, the group he was now stuck with. He wasn't sure what he thought abou the lot of them. Or anything.
What did he think again?
His yellow eyes glowing, he folded his wings inwards and swooped down into the depths of the city.

Buddy sat in the shadows of the alley with a slightly pensive and bored expression. His partner, the newbie Tago, was caught in her own thoughts, pacing around in a circle. Her twitching tail brushed against Buddy every so often, and he huffed as it did again.
“Sit down already,” He said to her.
“I don’t like this,” She said slowly, her light brown eyes blazing. “What if everyone’s being attacked and we don’t know it?”
“We’ll hear the alarm when that happens, don’t worry.” Buddy explained. “The Rock Drakes have that handled.”
“OK,” Tago said, exhaling slightly. She sat down with him for a moment, tucking her wings to her sides and wrapping her tail around herself. Buddy rubbed his face tiredly with his claws. “You wish you were home right now?” He decided to ask her.
“Mostly.” Tago admitted. “It’s easier there. Here, it’s crazy and weird looking and we’re preparing for multiple others to meet us in battle.”
“Well, I’d say I feel the same, but I’ve been through lots of stuff and this is not too different, if I’m honest. ” Buddy said quietly.
There was a sudden swoosh from somewhere above them. Tago perked her head and Buddy looked up, but nothing was there except the clouds and skyscrapers and the blue-gray sky. He glanced back at Tago with a confused look before a Wyvern was suddenly there, knocking Buddy over with a snarl.
“Buddy!” Tago yelled, jumping up and spreading her wings. She scrunched up her face in a hiss, baring sharp white teeth as Buddy scrambled back from the attacker, his tail fluffed up.
“That’s one of them!” Buddy exclaimed firmly, his senses brought up to their highest as he dug his claws into the ground.
The other Wyvern growled low in his throat. Tago looked down as Jethezzar watched them go up, and she flew away with Buddy in her grasp.
They flew deep into the city and came into the top of a giant observatory. Tago landed with a thump in the circular building, panting tiredly as she released Buddy. He looked back to where they had come from, hoping Jethezzar had not followed them. “You knew that one?” He asked Tago.
“Yes.” Tago sounded guarded.
“He must have heard us talking and come to investigate,” Buddy said with gritted teeth. “Let’s hope he didn’t hear too much. That would ruin the whole–”
“He probably didn’t,” Tago said. “We might have to be more careful from now on, though.”
“Yeah.” Buddy said.
“We’ll be fine,” Tago said with a small smile, nudging Buddy’s side. They looked out through the opening to the building, the dying rays of light casting on their fur and scales. Tago sat down quietly next to him. ‘Soon. Everything will be fine soon.’
~Yi Qi~
The Yi Qi, commonly known as the Yi, was a small, flying carnivore from the Late Jurassic period. Only a small amount is known about the reptile, as only one fossil of it has ever been discovered.
It is believed the creature had feathers all acrossed it’s body, except for it’s large, dragon-like wings, which were featherless.
In game, the creature will be a (possibly) rideable, large flier/glider. While the real creature was about the size of a small Flying Fox, the Ark version will be much larger.
Truly an extraordinary creature, I’m glad it was chosen!

The Omega Timeline Chapter 50: …Comes Great Responsibility
Erica lay there on the stone cold ground. She heard distorted voices coming from, her head spinning and her eyes still closed. She remembered the fight and having a blade pierce her chest, that she screamed and everything went black. She felt her chest where the blade pierced, expecting to feel the large gash as her last few moments of life. But she didn’t, she didn’t even feel a tear in her armor. She opened her eyes to check where she was injured at, only to be welcomed to children huddled around chatting with a slightly taller person with red curly hair. All except for two of the kids were wearing Tek armor and seeing one of the kid’s with a rifle in hand. Erica’s eyes bulged as she sat up to see this.
“So what’s the plan again?” Jay said,
“Do we have to do this again Jay? The plan is very simple and short. Why don’t you listen to him instead of thinking of what you can do in this gear.” Jack retorted,
“Well I’m sorry for having thoughts Mr-” “It’s fine Jack, I can say it again. Okay, so by the sound of it, all’s quiet on the Western Front and the enemy has retreated. But it most likely won’t stay like this forever and they’ll return to overwhelm everyone up there again. So what we’ll do is wait in the stairwell for the fighting to begin and come out in the middle of the battle to relieve our forces and overwhelm the enemy and win this once and for all!!”
“Like hell you will Sylas!!” Erica shouted as she stood up, wobbling as she got her footing.
“Erica!!! You’re okay!!” Sylas said excitedly, rushing over to hug her. They embraced for a moment before she pulled him off.
“Yeah, I’m okay. But what are you doing Sylas?” Erica asked firmly.
“Uh…” “Sylas was going to make us into Iron Men.” Moonhigh blerted, cutting off Sylas.
“What?” Erica said in confusion,
“Well see, he was-”
“I know, he only brought it up ten times before to me! You cannot make these kids soldiers!!” Erica cut off, taking the rifle out of Jack’s hand.
“Take off that armor Sylas.”
“You got your own over there Erica, all of this is ours.” Sylas said trying to distract and pointing, she looked to see the sleeker Tek armor stack on top of one another with her sword. She walked up to it, taking off her Tek Claw bracelets as she touched the helmet. Instantly the whole front of the suit opened up and she stepped in backwards as it closed behind her and closed behind her. It adjusted to her size and the visor disappeared to show her face.
“Thank you, now take that armor off Sylas. And you kids do the same thing. And what is the dodo doing?” Erica said, everyone turned to see Star trying to access the terminal.
“I don’t know what he’s doing.” Sylas said, Star immediately turned and started squawking at him in an angry manner.
“Woah!! I’m sorry, I can’t tell the difference between a boy bird and a girl bird!” Sylas said, Star huffed and flapped her wings in irritation.
“Stay in here everyone, you’ll all stay safe that way. Try not to offend anyone else Sylas. I don’t want to find you beaten up because you offended someone else.” Erica said before she ran out of the room. The five stood there in silence, unsure what to do next.
“I guess we should take these off then.” Jack said,
“No...” Sylas stated.
“What?”
“No, Erica’s word of caution doesn’t change a thing. She’s one of the most stubborn people I’ve met and she’s always overprotective. And it’s time I stand firm and fight with the other instead of cowering in fear. Now if you kids want, you can stay safe in here. But I think you all want to help fight too, so who’s with me?” Sylas said, the kids huddled together and Sylas heard whispering for a moment before they all turned around.
“Both of us are in!” Jay said,
“So are we!” Sunhigh included. A squawk came from behind Sylas and Star waddled over to the others. Sylas smiled.
“Then let’s prepare for this! And let’s get some dyes in here. Who wants t-” He said excitedly before it turned into screaming pain, pain he had never felt before. His implant went red and pulsed at an alarming pace, but just as fast as it came. It disappeared again.
“Sylas!! Ar-are y-you okay?” Jack said in panic.
“Yeah, yeah. I don’t what that was.” Sylas said as he sat down on the ground.
“Do you guys still want to paint your armors?” Sylas chuckled.

After the stirring events with the King Titan and Tago saving Andrew. Darkhide, Emerald, Tago and Andrew reconvened and returned to the mansion (and gained their hearing back as they did). But no one spoke.
Andrew walked behind in pain and fear, as this voice continued to repeat the same thing over and over. Find the dagger, become a herald of light. It tormented him as he tried to ignore it, to a point that it began to become painful as he did. He didn’t want power, he was failure with what power he had. Letting anger and pain control him in scenarios like what happened back there with that monster.
‘How did it know anyway? Was it from the same universe as me? But how could it know what happened to… Reuben. It doesn’t make sense!! What is all of this!!!’ He thought in his head.
“The Dagger. Find the Dagger.” The voice said as more pain struck through him. Andrew felt like he was losing it all again.
“WHAT DAGGER!!” Andrew screamed, the other’s looked at him. Tago looked at him worriedly while Darkhide and Emerald looked at him confused.
“What are you doing?” Darkhide asked rigidly,
Andrew pulled his hair in anguish. This pain was getting worse and worse.
“Nothing. Let’s just get back to the mansion.” He said as he ran passed. And so did the other after this. They all ran to the mansion. When they got there and went inside, they saw that three groups were there. Aragorn’s, Sheeri’s, and Nova’s. Erica was there too, though none one else with her. She wore now a Tek Suit, more crude and less sleek than his but had a helmet. He almost didn’t recognize her without her hair out.
“Can someone explain to me what happened? Where did they all go?” Erica asked,
“That’s just it, we don’t know. They just disappeared from here after the moon turned to blood.” Freya said,
“Same with us, they just vanished. One was in ice when it happened and it left the block of ice with a bubble inside.” Queen Sylveevee said, their crew exhausted as they sat in the dining room.
“We had one pinned against a building as the blood moon happened and when she vanished a little bit later, we all fell into rubble. It must’ve been some bloody magic trick to happen to all of us.” Aragorn added.
“Whatever it was, it didn’t happen to us. Our’s escaped, it caught us off by surprise.” Andrew said,
“Yeah, whatever our thing was, it was powerful and durable.” Emerald said,
“Did nobody else see the bat from before grow to the size of a building out there when the moon went blood red!! Does anyone know what that was about!?” Sheeri said, panic and fear in her voice.
Andrew glanced at her for a moment, a statement the voice said to him as the blood moon rose. “For the Herald of Darkness has arrived…”. The bat must’ve become the Herald for the Darkness. He looked over to the one table and a weapon sat on top of it. A dagger, a black bladed dagger with a white hilt. He didn’t know how, but he knew this was what the voice was telling him to grab. He walked over to the table and stared down at the blade.
“Maybe it was something like what we did to bring ya’ll back here to the mansion when you and the other three were getting attacked.” Aragorn noted.
“That could definitely be what happened and if that’s the case they might be a planning a final attack.” Yang said,
“What do you think our next step should be Andrew?” Erica asked.
“Where did you found this?” Andrew said, not answering the question. The other’s looked at him puzzled.
“I found it where we were fighting while looking around the area where the villains disappeared from. It was laying on the ground near where the giant dragon fell. It was strange because I don’t remember any of us having a dagger.” Skyocean said, Andrew nodded thoughtfully as he looked back down at the dagger.
“I agree with all of you, they are most likely going to attack us again. And we should prepare for another attack. But where are the other’s?” Andrew asked, his tone more blunt but worried.
“We aren’t sure yet, but I’m sure they’re fine and will be here soon. If you want we’ll go out and look for them?” Drake said,
“No, no, if you think their fine. But call me when they return and will prepare our plan next step of defense… I need to get some rest though.” Andrew said as he walked up towards the stairs and went upstairs.
As he walked away, the other’s watched in concern and suspicion.
“He’s been acting strange ever since the battle with that beast.” Darkhide said,
“He seemed to be in pain and had something troubling him ever since I saved him. Maybe it has something to do with what the beast said?” Tago continued,
“What did the beast say to him?” Erica asked,
“It said something about a beast of Andrew’s that died under his watch.” Tago said, Erica stood there confused. ‘I thought he said he didn’t know how to tame creatures. Huh…’ She thought to herself.
“Don’t read into it, he was probably just stressed and tired from the whole situation. We’ve never had to do something like this. This whole place is alien to us.” Erica said,
“Agreed, I know that I am. It’s just curious to me how he yelled about a dagger out there and in here found a dagger that peeked his attention.” Emerald said.
“Let’s just take this time to rest while we wait for the other’s to arrive. I can say I’m bushed.” Nova said,
“Yeah, I really need to rest for a moment.” Buddy agreed, Moonbeam and Orbit were already gone from the room and went off somewhere in the house. And the other went off to go find place rest and relax for a spell. All except for Aragorn, he couldn’t stop thinking that something was off with how Andrew reacted when he saw the dagger. He grunted quietly in suspicion as he walked over to the table and saw that the dagger was no longer sitting there.
“Don’t read into it, huh.”
~
Andrew walked into his room and breathed deeply. He turned as he shut the door behind him to see the room looked nearly identical to his old room back at the house.
“This place gets weirder and weirder.” He said to himself. Almost instantly, pain shot up into his head as he began to cry from the pain.
“The Dagger… grab the dagger and become The Herald of Light.” The voice said,
“I have the dagger in my hand right now!!! What more do you want from me!!?” He sneered.
He looked down at the dagger in his hand and realized something. He had his gauntlet on, maybe it needed a bare hand to work. He put the dagger on the bed and he flipped the switch to his chestpiece and it deactivated into a vest. He flipped the switch then on his right gauntlet as he flipped the switch on his vest back to on. The gauntlet deactivated and turned into a fingerless glove. He turned back to the bed and grabbed the dagger.
“Become the Herald of Light, Andrew.” The voice said,
“Look… I don’t want to become the Herald of Light, I didn’t ask to be a leader at all. I just… want this pain to stop.” Andrew cried quietly.
“Then become The Herald of Light, and your pain will be lifted.” The voice said to him.
“Then How? How do I become this ‘Herald of Light’ then? If this is what I have to do then so be it.” Andrew said,
“Kill the bat with this dagger, kill the bat and you shall become the Herald of Light Andrew.” The voice answered. For a moment, Andrew sat there in silence.
“Kill the Bat? The Herald of Darkness? With this dagger?” Andrew responded,
“Yes Andrew, that is all you have to do. Kill the Herald of Darkness with this dagger and you shall become the Herald of Light and be relieved of this pain.” The voice said slyly.
Andrew sat there and thought about this task he was given. It seemed wrong, yet the more he thought about it. The more he thought that it wouldn’t hurt. It’s even get rid of a problem they had. It wouldn’t be hard either. His bow should be able to kill it. He sat there and these thoughts kept building in his head. He thought it would be such an easy task too…
‘What, am I thinking! All this thought for killing a life!! Why?’ He thought to himself as he broke from his pain talking.
“No, and if that is the only way to get rid of this pain. Then this isn’t a good thing. Why would good kill somebody for its own power and benefit.” Andrew stated.
“But, the dagger-” “Is nothing more than a weapon of evil if that is the case.” He said as he dropped the dagger on the floor.
“I won’t kill anyone without giving them a chance to live. I won’t kill unless mine, or someone else’s live is at stake for this. And if I have to fight through pain in this next battle so be it.” Andrew said as he walked to the window to open it. He needed the air.
As he did though, the dagger’s blade glowed and light began to emit from it. Andrew opened the French door windows and turned to see the light coming from the dagger. He cocked his head and looked at the dagger for a moment before walking up to it, bent over and touched it.
Then the light shot up like a flurry of fireflies from the dagger and the dagger turned gray. The light hovered in front of Andrew’s face, glowing pure white. Andrew smiled at it curiosily. It was stunning. The flurry of light began to swirl around him and as it did. More flurries of light came swirling into the room from the window. Andrew shot up in panic and quickly went to close the windows, but they didn’t budge. He yanked as hard as he could but to no avail. The room filled with this flurrying light, to a point that it getting hard for Andrew to see where he was. Then the light began to ball in around him closely. He could feel energy and power, hope and kindness flow through him at astonishing speed. The light though continued and so did this feeling. It filled him up with happiness, but it was becoming too much for him. Too much power and good for his body. It felt like it was tearing his body apart. Then Andrew looked at his hand and was appalled to see what was happening. His fingers were slowly disappearing into the light, leaving his veins there. He began to scream in fear.

Aragorn walked up the stairs and entered the hall. As he got to Andrew’s door, he could hear some ruckus inside. Not wanting to intrude on something that he shouldn’t be intruding upon. He knocked.
“Andrew, are you in there?” He said, nothing. He knocked on the door a little harder.
“Andrew. Are you in there? Look, I know you have the dagger. I just want to know why you wanted it.” He said, then he heard a scream from inside and his being polite went out the window. He opened the door to see nothing but light, it was so bright, Aragorn had to close his eyes. He he put his hand in front of his eye and opened, he still could only see light, but his eyes began to adjust and he saw Andrew in the center of the light. He was screaming and crying in fear. His eyes glowed white and his one hand seemed to be missing. Andrew look over at him and fell to his knees.
“ARAGORN!!! WHAT DID I DO!! WHAT DID I DO!! HELP ME!!” He cried out in fear, before he threw his head back and the ball of light exploded. Launching Aragorn back into the wall of the hall. Dazed, Aragorn got up and ran into the room, to see nothing. No one. Andrew was gone, and that was left was a piece of his bow, his gauntlet, a strange cylinder that looked like a handle, and the dagger. Aragorn picked up the dagger to look at it. A gray blade with a gray hilt. He was confused why he wanted it so bad.
“Andrew?!” He yelled to hear nothing. He looked out the open window yet didn’t see anything but the garden area. He closed the window before looking at the bow. It was broken in half. Aragorn’s heart sank as he a thought came to him. Could he have died?
“Andrew!! Where did you go!?” Aragorn yelled in a panic.
“Andrew!!”
