If you want to tame a rhino make sure the area is clear if it's not clear kill the direwolfs or other wild dinosaur and stay up hill so Rhino can't get you and use Shocking Tranquilizer Dart it takes to 3 shots and hes or she down.

I tamed one of these and I couldn’t believe how useful they were. They’re GREAT at pvp, and they gather lots of berries too!

On survival evolved all you need is tranq arrows a dino that you can shoot while riding it, and its preferred kibble or meoberries. Mainly I would do the kibble because meoberries take a long time to tame it and wastes alot of narcotics.

Taming one is hard because of wolves

One of my top five Dino's because they can kill almost anything except a giga in a couple shots.

Use an argy trap! I was able to tame 2 lvl 150s with one. 4 stone gateways placed in a row with gates at either end once you have got the rhino in. Make sure you have a beast to protect it in case of things like rexes and sabers while its knocked out. They're so easy to tame and are absolutely brilliant once tamed.

We had a blueprint another tribe wanted so to trade they dropped a 150 in our base to tame, 6 hours later we had one of these bad boys, too bad when we got raided a quetz picked it and dropped him in the volcano

The most simple and easiest way to knock out and trap is use 4 metal billboards and make a square around the rhino. Its Super easy to trap it since you don't need to attack it till it's trapped.

Very strong and can farm charcoal

You used to have complicated traps tame anything then they invented the net projectile now you just use that

Really dumb but effective trap method:

1- Craft at least 5 stone fence foundations and 5 stone doorframes. Put them in your hotbar;

2- Wait for the rhino to start walking in a straight line, and then place one foundation and doorframe infront of him;

3- Quickly place two more on his left and right side;

4- Complete the trap by putting the last walls on his back.

•If any of the steps fail and the creature escapes your little cage, just pick up everything and try again.

•Do this on a flat terrain to minimize the chances of the rhino climbing out of the trap.

•You obviously dont need to snap the foundations to eachother. A crude wall arrangement will work so long as the rhino cant fit through the gaps.

You can use a tanky mount like a Rex or Paracer to tank hits while you fire tranqs from the mount’s back, Rhinos aren’t too fast so it is easy to keep up with a fleeing rhino, just be ready to fight off wolves and Yutys since they swarm the north or build a protective wall around the Rhino.

They can't fit into dino gateway

I just encountered a bug eith rhinos 🦏. If you are taming any dino and taming progress is almost done like 70% or 80% and if their torpor is full enough for rest than you can leave your dino there and fly straight to your home or sny far you want(and request him at any place from tames option). And it is also the safest way to save your tame from another wild dinos.. if you are not in that area no dinos gonna spawn.. for example if you are not in ice biom than ice biom does not exist. It will be generate by computer only if player is in range. So no dino spawn and you are safe.... But this just dont work in rhinos. If you leave them they just awake when you comes again.

These are some speps that I used for taming it: 1. Build a safe platform that it can’t reach you from. 2. Get out your dart gun and start shooting at the head try not to hit a horn. 3. Once it’s unconscious feed it crops. 4. Enjoy your new creature ! .

They lose torpor very fast but they’re herbivores so you can manage that using only narcoberries if you want to, it’s like taming a theri but a tad bit easier

Supper over powered but if new in a sever and you see one in the wild RUN

Just build a small 3x3 taming pen with stairs leading in from the outside then hit it with a tranq dart or arrow and jump on and argy and repeat until it’s in the pen then just keep hitting it with tranqs

It most definitely does fit through a Dino gate as well...

A lvl150 takes like 1h30 min and 28 kibble on official with normal rates...i hope that is helpful
