So on the Island map playing Ascended Ark I headed out toward Herbie Island on a raft filled with some taming supplies to tame a pteranodon and hopefully a decent level ankhy. I first saw it initially when I arrived and thought, "well damn, I've never seen an equus spawn on Herbie Island," then I spy glassed it and found it out to be a 140 male Unicorn!!! Marking this as my second time seeing one of these beauties since Survival Evolved. The first I still remember being a level 25 and even debated taming it.(I didn't since a baryonyx killed it shortly after.) Forgot about taming a pteranodon for a hot second gathered my carrots from the raft and engaged. First time was unsuccessful, so I knocked it out and waited for it wake up. Next time I had success since it didn't randomly buck me off even though I gave it it's first feed for some odd reason, tamed and named it "Kalibas" after the guy that killed all the unicorns on Clash of the titans. I only mention all of this because out of all the hours I've put in the game I've never seen one spawn at Herbie Island, what's more anything else I would class as exotic or useful. So for all ark players DO NOT forget to check Herbie Island if you're in the market for a unicorn. By far the best place to find and tame one.

If it wonβt allow you to feed it, knock it out and let it wake up then try again. Most likely due to the fact someone else tried to tame it before. Also, it tells you when to feed it at the bottom corner of your screen.
FOR MOBILE USERS:sadly YOU CAN ONLY PASSIVE TAME IT WITH GRIFFIN KIBBLE.
It Wont eat any crops or berries and you cant tame it like eqqus.
Devs Must Fix This.
Ark Mobile- Tameable by Griffin Kibble. So bummed to learn this after catching and trying to feed crops.
I was flying around on my arge , not a care in the world. Then this happened:
Me: Oh Look! A White Equus , I Want It!
Me : -Turns To A Different Angle-
Me: OH MEH GAWD IT HAS A HORN
Ark Mobile Gods: We Bout To Make Ruin This For Her.
Me: -Picks Up And Puts In Pen Back At Base-
Me : -Gets Carrots And Tries To Tame-

Mobile players are cursed enough and i come to figure out you cant even tame this thing with crops π₯²
Please, ark creators! Let the mobiles use crops on unicorns! Iβve found for and havenβt been able to any of them!!!
So they are tamed with crops and Berrys on NEW MOBILE not OLD mobile that griffin kibble on the older version so yeh I feel bad for the old mobile player
People, the griffin kibble and hallucinogenic poop is only on mobile. Disregard this, PC and Console people. I wish.
I have one of these on the island the map so I will tell you how I tamed mine I put a lot of walls all around it so it didnβt jump over it I needed 20 carrots now hopefully this helps you and if it does have fun with your unicorn
