If it won’t allow you to feed it, knock it out and let it wake up then try again. Most likely due to the fact someone else tried to tame it before. Also, it tells you when to feed it at the bottom corner of your screen.

FOR MOBILE USERS:sadly YOU CAN ONLY PASSIVE TAME IT WITH GRIFFIN KIBBLE.

It Wont eat any crops or berries and you cant tame it like eqqus.

I first found ancient amber lying in the ground

I then found a unicorn

I did a cave run and got a soothing balm

I then found the griffin i needed to make kibble

Now just waiting for the griffin to tame so I can get myself a unicorn! Wish me luck boys!

I saw this uni boy 3 times few days ago but when i decided to tame it ? they gone without a trace ..

There can be only 1 wild unicorn if you tame it, it respawns

I know cause I have a breeding pair on the same server

Ultimate Mobile Edition:

Info-On Ultimate Mobile Edition the Unicorn poops like any other dino, no rainbow poo, no special effects. Also you can tame it with crops like the Equus. Highly recommend using Simple Kibble instead of crops, also on single player if your percentage for taming goes down (effectiveness and taming bar) knocking it out will reset it. Just make sure to let its health go back up completely before trying again or else its health might go down and both the taming and effectiveness will go down.

Taming-Full Ghillie and Simple Kibble are highly recommend rather than crops.

Trap- acquire a tamed Argy and pick it up, drop it in a two by two or a one by two foundation with doorframes all around recommend one high. And add ramp on one of the doorframes to get above it and feed it without it noticing you. Knock it out to reset its taming effectiveness.

Trap 2- bola it, knock it out, use the first dino gateway available, with the doors, three of them in a triangle with a gap. Don’t forget to make sure that the gap isn’t too big or else it will be able to get out.

Extra-will typically spawn in the same areas as Ovis (yes it exists on the ultimate mobile edition- aggressive dinos will target it over you so if you see one grab it immediately, its health is low and runs like any passive runner) and Equus. On the Dododex look at maps the map your on, ARK: Survival Evolved, click on creatures, type in Equus, Ovis or Unicorn. If it dies leave the area and look in another spawning area, if there’s an Ovis or group of Equus in the area it won’t spawn in within the area. So kill them or tame them and lead them out of the area (far enough that it renders out other dinos and make sure that at least five minutes pass before trying that specific area again). If you tame one it will respawn in another spawning area so if you want a breeding pair it’s possible.

Dude. I’m the luckiest person alive, JUST downloaded fjordur 5 minutes ago give or take, spawn in. And right before me is a unicorn with NO threats around. God has blessed me on this fine day.

Ark Mobile- Tameable by Griffin Kibble. So bummed to learn this after catching and trying to feed crops.

Who thinks this should have a charge attack that can aim for vitals and can temporary cripple creatures and should have a unicorn dust ability that befrends very small - medium creatures to help you fight and to give yourself a point to tame this rare creature

They cost 64-128 amber to revive for levels 1-30

There's also a dungeon that has a room where you have to kill 16 max level unicorns and the boss will be a min level dodo

To anyone playing on ultimate mobile edition who is going to downvtoe this tip of course i'm talking about old mobile, you should also downvote every tip that mentions anything about rainbows or rainbow poop since that only exists on old mobile

Looks like the devs didn’t read the last book of the Chronicles of Narnia to base on. One of the sentences read as(if I’m correct) “A unicorn is one of the most powerful steeds you can have. In battle, it can kill anyone instantly with its horn if said enemy is not wielding a lance or a spear, or you might find yourself with horn and hooves on you.” LET THE DEVS SEE THIS!!

You know what… it’s hard enough finding the unicorn on mobile, so why do we have to feed it griffin kibble?!?!? Do tell!

Remember unicorns DO NOT increase chances of getting twins and triplets or mutations. YOU ARE PURELY GETTING LUCKY THE DEVS EVEN CONFIRMED THAT THEY DONT

I was flying with Lindo-my Ptera when i heared horse neigh I followed it and it was a unicorn! I was so sad, i was on mobile and i havent tamed a griffin yet, but i saw dilos attacking him. I couldnt even look at it. I fast grabbed dilos with Ptera and Carred it away. I looked sadly on him trotting. I’ll tame one of your kind someday-I poromised. But it will be a long way.
