Time between feedings is 25 minutes. Unless this is a bug. Harsh but true.

Build an argy trap, lure it in with rare flowers, but be careful it can dismount you. It will get pissed after your chain bola it so make sure to be far enough bsck or have a tribemate stand there with a riot shield while you passively feed it.

Can only feed when it has bola on it, takes 30 mins to a hour each feed depending how much time it spends agro to you :)

Build a trap (they fit through dino gates) build balista near the trap. Now go find one bite it on wyvern just once it will come after they wyvern. Kitebto trap and land OPPOSOTE the balista and run to balista the trophy will attack the wyvern not you at this point. Then chain bola it feed it and run to your trap as soon as it gets up it will come.after you trap it and take away safely not once getting picked up

Found near redwoods river on island. Used tek suit and rare flower to take it to a trap with a chain bola balisata in front. Bola whenever it is hungry and feed it exceptional kibble. Passive tame.

Dossier implies that you will need a quetz with a platform saddle to tame.

Also a piscivore, so it will likely take fish.

Just use prime meat, it’s quicker and you still get the good taming effectiveness

anyone who wants this someone told me that you can cryopod and send through obelisk, endgame stuff but this is literally fastest flyer in game so worth it (I’m also pretty sure you can revive using implants on different maps, probably not tho use something expendable that doesn’t spawn on your map)

Level 85 is at about 27 min intervals

You do not need to chain bola then hit it to drain food, I have just tested, if you can place a sleeping bag near the trap let it pick you up and punch it a few times for almost instantaneous food drain. You will need to be careful not to kill it, stop punching if it gets really bloody, just let it murder you

If you want to trap these easily search on YouTube there is a trap that works incredibly well

Trapping using skiff is too easy just beam it and pull it to where ever your ballista is and have at it. 🤫

After trapping it and using a chain bola on one make sure before feeding it anything you injure it over half its health. Then leave it for the bola timer to finish. Once it is flying keep an eye on the health and you will see it drops super faster and will be starved in now time at all. Then just chain bola it so it stuck. Bola it a few more times as this will increase the time it cannot fly. Then feed it.

I did this on a lvl 145 and it was done in like 10mins from kibble. I did it on an official server also

I had one spawn in on Scorched Earth. On the mountain North West on the map just North of the Scar on the right. It is a rare spawn but apparently they do spawn in on other maps. I thought my game was broken when I found one cause I thought they were exclusively for Crystal Isles which I have yet to play so I Googled it and yeah its a rare spawn.

If you have a chain bola, 3 dinosaur gates with doors, ballista and some of the preferred kibble, it will be pretty easy to tame, but the saddle is expensive. But it is a great tame to have on a every day basis.

These dont have to take hours. Chain bola, build a trap around it to fit it and the bola. Hit it with basic bola to get its food down, once its food drops below the bone on the food icon use a chain bola and feed it until tame, because it's been starved there's no wait time between feedings. The trop version of a starve tame. Way shorter, way easier.

If it grabs u when its taming even when its traped in dino gates it resets the taming meter too 0% DONT GET GRABED SEEING IF ITS HUNGRY!

Easy tame- trap it, bola it, then pick it while it’s bola till its HP is very low like 100 hp. Wait till the bola comes off then bola it again. It will have zero food. Tames in 5 mins or less
