Don't leave render of it if you have it trapped, for some reason it will phase out and chase you across the world.

Before taming Bola with a REGULAR Bola and damage it. Shortly after it takes off again it will lose a ton of food and tame in less than a minute. It must be a regular Bola for draining food and a chain Bola to tame.

First trap it, u can find multiple online, then shoot it with whatever you like just hurt it enough so it won’t heal anytime soon. Then wait and it’s food will drop much quicker than just waiting with out hurting it. Then chain bola it and feed it the kibble once u have starved it enough.

When trapping, once using the chain bola the first time DO NOT FEED IT. Shoot it with a couple arrows to get it’s health below half. Once it escapes from the chain bola, re-bola it And you should be able to feed it multiple times within the bola duration. Tried today on small tribes, level 120 and 140

DO NOT TRY TO KNOCK IT OUT (I made this mistake too many times)

Find a Tropeo and normal bola it

Then place 3 dino gateways, (have ready on hot bar with gates), like a triangle around it

Put 4 stone pillars on top of eachother next to the centre of the trap and put some ceilings on them (4 ceilings should be enough)

Then you can place your ballista outside the trap and charge the chain bolas but DO NOT SHOOT

First you have to starve it with normal bolas, (I just used a bola on him every 25-30 seconds until his food was down enough)

Once you have starved him… just chain bola the guy and feed him so it's an insta-tame

They are in Ark Mobile you just have to spawn them in untamed the just force tame it

just tamed a lvl 65 with 4 behemoth gates and multiple ballistas. It will take 26min and 30 seconds until it takes the second kibble (exceptional kibble) be sure u dont have any openings because its like stealing gems from rollrats. It will never forgive u.

To tame this Dino it is a PASSIVE tame.

HOWEVER, you need to chain Bola this beast before you can even feed it. (Seems to like extraordinary kibble)

You get one feed for every Bola, and after it is extremely aggressive.

Building a Trap is extremely recommended.

How to tame a tropeognathus [trope-eo-ag-nah-this] but the tutorial is detailed

SUPPLIES NEEDED :

- 3-4 dino gateways (stone or better)

- A dino gate

- 3 pillars

- A ballista turret

- 20 or so chain bolas for a high level just to be safe, but you'll probably not need that many

- 2 ceilings for safety

- 2-3 parachutes also for safety

- A pteranadon with decent stamina and a bit of speed

TAMING :

STEP 1.

Find a tropeognathus on your pteranadon and fly directly below it onto the ground, it's okay if it goes out of render

STEP 2.

Clear out the area of any danger

STEP 3.

Place the four or three dino gateways in a row like a typical trap and the gate at the right end, make sure you there's not too much space between each gateway. Place the 3 pillars on top of each other right at the left end of the trap, and atop the pillars place ceilings leading into the trap. Then put the ballista turret at the left end, sort of between the pillars and the last dino gateway, but make sure not to be too close to the trap.

STEP 4.

Open the gate that leads into the trap, find the tropegnathus, and bite it, then get AWAY, fly down to your trap, they're fast so be quick

• If you get grabbed, whistle pteranadon to follow, and get free, once you're relatively close to the ground use the parachutes mentioned earlier and do step 5

STEP 5.

Fly into the trap, tropegnathus following, and fly out through one of the holes in the trap

• The tropegnathus shouldn't be able to fit through them, if it does, just fly out of render and go back to try again with less space in between

STEP 6.

Close the gate at the other end, stay away from the tropegnathus while doing this, but it should be aggroed to your pteranadon primarily

STEP 7.

Go to your ballista, shoot the tropegnathus, wait until it's free

STEP 8.

After about 10 seconds of being free, shoot the tropegnathus again, you can now feed it the food it requires, it might glare at you

STEP 9.

Repeat until it's tamed, shoot it with the chain bola between each feed or it'll dine on you, you can also use regular bolas to drain its hunger, but not to tame it

I’m going to do a tip for each category on my main man the trop, so get ready. Taming and knock build a trap of ur choice and chain bola it once you’ve lead it it, and get taming. Utility it’s saddle acts as a grinder, can fire grenades and has an op jet booster and it can be ridden without a saddle and it’s very fast and powerful, when fighting make sure to just bola and shoot, for funny I got nothing, for story I got nothing, for name ideas I have three: vanhalen (bc of its stripes) maverick (after top gun) and Nathaniel (bc the blue ones look like they’d be named Nathaniel)

Don’t make the same mistake I did and punch this thing while you’re taming it. Resets taming to 0 and makes me want to sob as well as trying to bite my damn face off.

I see someone said you can use normal bolas JUST tested this you CANNOT has to be chain bola.

If you chain bola it and shoot it a few times, it’s food will drop down massively when the chain bola goes away. Then it’s pretty much an instant tame when you chain bola it again.

Make sure to exhaust this thing before you feed and bola it. You can damage it do decrease it's food before you feed it and it wont decrease taming effectiveness. Share this to not have to wait 1.5 hrs next to a trap.

Instead of feeding it kibble the first time you chain bola it wait and it will drop hunger extremely fast, no more 4 hour taming.

First regular bola, then build four pillars around the animal. Place 3 ceilings over it and your pen is made. Use your Argy to hold the chain bola’s you need. Place the ballista, load a chain bola, shoot it and quickly pick up the ballista to never loose it. Starve tame is way faster.

5 minute tame.

Trap it, Chain Bola it, Shoot it with a gun 2 times. 1 time for low lvl

Once the bola comes off it’s food will drop to heal itself.

When food is about half (use magnifying glass), Bola it again and feed kibble. It will take 1 kibble each 10 seconds. Tamed in mins

You are supposed to damage them once you chain bola them, if you damage them enough they will do a regeneration which uses crap tons of food, damage them and then bola and feed, wait a little and do it again and so on and you can tame in minutes
