The last person to bola is holds the agro until the next person does. Have the other person feed it once it’s down. Wait until it says it doesn’t want to be tamed and then hit it again. Takes around 30-40 min between each feeding.

***Fast taming!!!*** First trap your bird, second chain bola it. Once it’s hit with bola go up and punch it a couple times. It’s food will start to drop pretty fast. Let the bola wear off. Bola once again and feed. Don’t punch after fed once or it will reset. A couple punches will drain it’s food to half atleast!

The intervals is not 8.5 mins. More like 30-40 mins between feeding

20 mins 1 prime meat. Not 4 mins

To tame a 145 on 4x took around 2 hrs with kibble

Takes a long time between feeds around 25 - 30 mins. Fairly easy to trap using Dino gates, pillars and ceilings, put around it once it has been chain bola'd. Have a tribe mate check if it needs feeding will only attack the person who bola'd it.

Fire a couple of chain bolas at it in the trap before feeding any kibble or meat, this compleatly drains its food,for a quick tame.

Dino gate trap. Ride pteradon and eat wild flowers. Chain bola and then feed it. Kibble amounts are correct timing is off. 25 min intervals till hungry.

Taming feed rate is 30 minutes per food piece on four times. Used ascended kibble

Use 2 quetz, 1 with ballista & 1 with 3 dino gates trap it with gate mid are and have other person on Quetz with ballista shoot in trap,feed and repeat

On back of quetz or wyvern use a normal bola to knock it out of sky, then 3 normal gates to trap it and then set up your launcher for chain bolas to start taming

Learned from experience, they phase right through quetz traps. Cant tame mid air.

Found on Scorched Near the high mountain ranges on the west side. Setup a basic taming box with a stone Dino gate and setup a ballista in front of 2 pillars I could fire through. Be warned they have a long distance agro period. I lost it at some point after flying from my trap for food. Circled the entire ark to get back to me, heavy turrets didn’t seem to trigger while flying by when you start taming. Flower method works just fine. Chain bola when it’s time to feed again to efficiently use ammo. Have exceptional kibble on hand for fast taming. Good luck!

To tame these guys effectively set up a catapult and chain bola it and feed it extraordinary kibble and when it escaped it will Afro onto you, then from there rinse and repeat....

You tame this by chain bolaing bola ing? And then passive tame it but as soon as it breaks free it will try to kill you. Other from that it’s passive but you should probably trap it

Dossier says it can’t be bolad, but CAN be chain bolad! It’s also neutral so if you take a tapejara and a tribemate on the back seat, you can shoot the tropeo from the back seat. Dossier says it’s not the fastest so you’ll likely be able to outfly it with a tapejara or maybe even an argy.

Simplified taming guide

You will need:

Harpoon gun

Shotgun/high DPS weapon

Net Projectile (Bring extra incase you miss, they are fast)

4x Stone gateways

Balista

Chain Bola

Kibble/Mutton

1. Shoot net Projectile at it but don't get trapped in it's jaws.

(I play Fjodur so R.I.P Crystal Isles players)

2. Build 4 gateways around it and leave some space for the balista.

3. Inflict damage on tropeo so it loses hunger, but when it gets out of the net chain Bola it.

4. Feed it Kibble or mutton until tamed.

Resemble tapejaras in alot of ways. Fly backwards and in a 360 circle. They also make the same sounds as tapejaras

To tame a trop I have and idea for a trap and a strat: you’ll need: one chain bola, one ballista turret, three stone doorframes, three stone walls, one stone ceiling (triangle might work too but I haven’t tested it) first you set up the ballista, then you put the doorways in a triangle, then you put the walls or more doorways on top, then you shoot at the the Trop, wait for it to come into the triangle, run out the doorway and out the roof on, Chain bola it and tame it. Liek I said earlier this is an idea that hasn’t been tested so t may not work but if ur desperate or willing to take a risk for a cheap trap this is ur best bet

If the Dev adds ornithocheirus, i will be cheering because ornithocheirus is bigger, heavier, faster, than then the quetzal, they look like bigger tropeo
