They can, according to sources, be found within the Tropical and Ember wyvern areas. And supposedly along the southeast side of the map with the floating rocks. I never found one but maybe this info can help

One spawned right in top of me, and began flying close to the ground.
Like an idiot, I thought it was a Tapejara, and threw my bolo at it.
It was only when I realised it wasn't what I thought it was, and was a passive tame, that I left it behind.... It chased me all over the mountain.
Every time I thought I was free, and began looking at dinos to tame, it appears like the embodiment of winged death.
Eventually it knocked me off my Dino, into a pit of 5 hungry dire wolves, and myself and my max level iguanadon died.
Always double check your target before attacking.
Whoever said that the sky is too easy in ark, do I have to introduce you to wyverns and managarmr?

Kill Tapejaras as it share its spawn with them. I killed a few Tappy then 3 of them spawn in a row. On Rag, they are found on long 25. Found two different spawn so far, near blue ob and above green ob, always on long 25.

Tropeognathus
Behavior: Netural
The Tropeognathus is a pterosaur that is found in Crystal Isles.
I found mine in the red forest by the volcano, but they spawn near the floating islands too.
While slow, you can attach a jet booster on itโs back to soar in the sky at ever so fast rates. It takes gas as if it was honey. It can also shoot grenades via the turret on itโs back.
HOW TO TAME
You will need the following: 1 hand bola, 8 Stone pillar, 2 Stone roofs, 1 ballistic turret, 1 Chain bola, And taming food.
First, find the Trop
Second, throw the Hand bola
Third, Use the stone pillars and build a diamond shaped trap with the trop inside. Add the two roofs
Fourth, Chain bola the trop
Lastly, Feed it the taming food
Have fun taming!
