When taming the tropeognathus to instantly Drain it’s food, Get it into the trap, let it grab you, then punch a few times, let it get a little bloody, then wait about 20 seconds and the food should be around 0, then just bola it and feed the kibble, I just tamed a lvl 60 in 30 seconds on accident with 2 bolas. Pretty good dino, pretty long tame time
More Tropeognathus Taming & KO Tips
you can easily tame it like this:
find a tropeo and bola it (normal bolas) then place 3 dino gateways like a triangle around it, put 4 stone pillars on top of eachother next to the centre of the trap and put some ceilings on them (4 ceilings should be enough) then you can place your ballista and charge the chain bolas but DO NOT SHOOT, first you have to starve it with normal bolas so just bola him every 30 seconds until his food is down enough, once you have done that just chain bola this guy and feed him so it's an insta-tame

If u chain bola it and don’t feed it and wait like 30 more seconds after it gets free. It looses like 200 food do this a couple of times and it’s an insta-tame
If you only want to use one chain bola and your on a cluster server, tame a reaper, bola the tropeo and then use the reaper's right click attack. Adds 20 seconds to the bola each time you right click and it hits.
Normal bolas do work to immobilize them so you can build around and trap them, but you still HAVE to use the chain bolas to feed them, using normal ones will just say he doesn't wanna be tamed right now.

Don’t bother with regular bolas, every time I tried it didn’t let me feed only let me remove the bola. Wasted 3 hours of my life trying to get this to work, don’t waste 3 hours of yours.
A 145 took 28 mins per feeding interval and ate 4 kibble to tame on official 4x event rates.
I found it very easy to use a snow owl if you have one. Let's say it's just floating up there in the sky and you can't seem to get it down. Use the freeze ability and it will force it to land, where then you can proceed to chain Bola it from a ground unit. It won't cause aggro to freeze it either so there's that. I did the same thing with a quets and it was relatively the same results, except the quets took back off again after about 3 seconds or so.
To take the tropeognathus, chain bola it and feed it a food of your choice. if you try to tame the tropeognathus without a chain bola, it will likely grind your armor.
To that a hole saying a command is the easiest way. Not everyone just uses a little cheat book to get what they want here. Some line the satisfaction of working for that feeling.
