Use a stone taming pin. 3 walls high, not 2 it will walk right over 2 and murder you and all your friends and tames
To tame you must get a 3 by 3 of any pillar and have one gape small enough for only u to get threw and the break gap or side then let it chase you and then run threw the gap then the other player should close the other side with pillars then light it up with tranqs
You can tame one early game by using a frog to jump over its head when it gets close and shoot. When it runs, you can easily chase it down and KO it.
Don't throw a bola at him we learned that the hard way
Make a taming pen to easily tame and to protect while knocked out
If you are trying to get a ton of plant species x this is your guy.
They get triggered if you get on their faces. So don't get too close.
Will flee away when low in stamina, needs a 3 wall high trap

The best strategy is to get it stuck or if you have a small trapping area to use. I tamed all 4 of mine in a trapping boat

I tamed mine fairly easily, used Quetzal to drop it into my taming pen then rained at least 30 tranq arrows, easy-ish tame
Great Dino to get around and awesome guard dog. Tamed a lvl 100 and 60, haven't had any problems losing other tames due to random others getting in
Using narcoberries helps with taming since it doesn't raise as quick as narcotics so you have a tiny bit more down time and you don't have to wait on narcotics to be made and helps with taming efficiency
Max tame or breed ones are good for the spider boss with a good saddle levelled in hp and melee
