I was pretty knew to the game but I had 3 trikes 3 paramours and three carboneyes but still this thing managed to track down my base and kill everything including me

I’m just going to say some straight facts:

In the wild, they are a general pain without a shotgun (few things on The Island are a nuisance if you have a trusty pump-action at hand) even when taming them. I saw a comment here that said ,”knocking it out is easy; keeping it down is different.” (PS on mobile, use megalosaurus kibble). But all of that set aside, they can be quite the valuable asset on the Island. It’s claws make it a powerful mix of a berserk warlord and a delicate farmer, which is not an easy combination to obtain. My only concern with having one is their health is relatively low for such a powerful theropod (yes it is likely that this creature was a herbivorous member of therapods), so pump up that stat, and take that murder turkey off to rip and tear, because where you awake, you aren’t trapped there with them, they are trapped with you.

Here’s a story about some irony...

I was a young intrepid explorer with a beautiful base. I was on the search for a Therizino and when I finally found one I was amazed. I wanted to use those claws for skill and destruction. I wanted to build and defeat. I needed it. I stood on a cliff and started shooting trank arrows at it. But nooooo, they just haaaad to throw a carno from behind knowing I was just level 28. I got knocked off the cliff with the carno and the therizino killed us both. Next day I went back and tried again, this time I successfully put it to sleep.

I was so happy, that was, until it woke up. I forgot about the narcotics!!! It slaughtered me for the second time and I was just...😑

Theeeeen the next day I went back with fresh crops and a bunch of arrows. I tranked it, put it to sleep, fed it, kept it asleep with narcotics and eventually tamed it. I wooped with joy and was so happy that I emediatly took it and killed a low lvl carno. I was the proud owner of a lvl16 Therizinosaur.

Flash forward: I got a journeyman Therizino saddle at lvl35 and immediately whent to craft it.

Flash forward again: I am now an Ark mobile lvl63 player with a giant base and a couple super tames always pushing myself to the limit and I haven’t died since the Therizino taming incident. 😁 I hope you liked the true story. Irony? I have a Therizino that killed me twice.

I HATE THERIZINOS. Today I agro’d one on accident, ran back to my base and it killed 3/4 of my tamed dinos. RIP to Carnage the Carno, Pac Man the Pachy, and Charlie the Raptor. 7-27-25 to 7-28-25

Just a story how I knocked a theri unconscious in seconds by ACCIDENT:

So I was just messing around with settings like turning tamed dino level things up very high I was on lost island so I like found an equus rlly fast I jumped on it and out of no where a theri I just used like the second attack with is a buck and I didn’t know it deals less damage but increases torpor so there I stood bleeding equus and knocked out theri by mah feet this was so funny and I named it : accident yeah if yah think this was like comic lol

I tried taming one of these a while ago. I managed to knock it out and started the long process, using tons of citronal and narcotics. I spent most of it hanging out next to it with my raptor, waiting until the taming would finish. However, right as the taming level was in it’s final few percentages, a group of raptors attacked us. I was terrified they would kill the therzino and undo all my work. But then, it suddenly stood up, completely tamed, and tickled all the raptors to death. Very intense experience.

I have a Therizinosaurus in ARK and one day when I was walking a level 98 Spino came out from the water. I decided to run into the forest (because spinos don’t usually wander into forests). While I’m waiting in the forest I put my therizinosaurus on disable following and go chop some trees. When I return my therizinosaurus has wandered into the ocean where I see it getting murdered by a stupid megalodon. I forget to disable wander😢.

It is seriously not a early game Dino. If you found him run and take it away from your Dinos and home.When I was traveling with my spino than another spino came and started fight my spino was of 16 level whereas another spino that attacked me was of 12 level my spino killed that spino but my spino was almost dead than after atleast 1 minute one therizinosaurus came and killed my spino and me also but he killed me in 2 hits and I also tamed one raptor in the way and he killed mine raptor also. Please press sign pointing towards the sky for my Dinos and also that spino was my most favorite Dino which while taming time that tamed without creating any problem it was like that he is saying please tame me.

I had a level 267 Theri that was black and orange named Koi. I loved Koi and took him practically everywhere to get fiber, wood, meat, berries. Koi was my best tame. One day I was out on Koi killing some things in the redwood to get meat for my baby Thylos at home. A LEVEL 300 MICRORAPTOR hit me off Koi. Koi was on passive flee and ran off a CLIFF. I never found Koi and never got a death message until a few days later when he was killed by a Thyla 😢

I was on my argy trying to find an equus, didn’t find one and went afk. I suddenly saw smt on my screen and ran back and some bugs had killed my black argy named raven! R.I.P Raven. So I ran home (luckily I was close) and saw a theri with the most beautiful colours! It had a white underbelly and blue feather with a wonderful red going down its back! I got on a tall rock and shot him with the train arrows I was gonna use on an equus. It ran into a river and I lost it, I walked home depressed. Lost my argy….lost a potential tame….lost my armour from some bugs. But I saw him again and I chased him with my frog called derpy. I knocked him out in a river and fed him carrots. Took at least 200 bio toxin. I tamed a theri! I can just use my trap to get another argy! Or so you thought………… a sarco swam towards my knocked out tame. I shot him with tranq arrows as that was the only arrows I had. My frog helped but half way through I realised I was shooting my theri. He taming was at 90% as I took out my sword, derpy hit the sarco with the force of a truck. Theri was at 90 hp. One more hit= death. That last tongue smack from derpy killed the sarco and my theri tamed up. I named him iridescent and I LOVE HIM.

Anyway that’s the end of the story

Once upon a time there was a bob, this bob had just started and was on the island. Having seeing new land, the bob brought his 8 dilo's to war. All the raptors that challenged him were destroyed. then, a certain oversized chicken came and challenged the bob, the bob felt cocky and pursued The chicken. As 2 of the dilo's were defeated, the bob was getting worried, as the last dilo was defeated, the bob fought hard with his bow but was killed in as matter of seconds.

I was pretty dumb when I first started.

So once I had this their named Astro slash. That their meant everything to me. We always adventured out together, grind together, and I loved that their so much, but soon enough a twist came. A hacker named Estefania came to my base and raided me. It was only my dodo, my spino, and my therizino left. I treated all those tames like they were my babies because they were the only survivors. One day I went to the swamp with my their because why not. Then came along a kapro. It snatched me from my therizino and my therizino was knocked out by a titanoboa. After quite a while a few wild creatures came in and killed it. My their will always be in my heart and to all those other tames I’ve tamed. If you read through the whole story, thank you so much.
