If you find a decent lvl theri, you should consider taking it. I found a lvl 13 ish a little while ago, and it’s now a lvl 66. These things can bear the living crap out of alphas, and can harvest tons of wood, berries and fiber. I tamed mine with a fast high lvl raptor, and some tranq arrows. Pretty easy tame if u know what your doing.

An all-round good harvester, but excels at harvesting rare mushroom and rare flower. Use your swipe attack on trees in the swamp for mushrooms, and tickle the swamp brush for flowers.

I think this dude is better than the casteroids (Beaver) because it gathers about the same amount of wood AND is an op berry and fiber collector. Also, it has the power to wreck havoc on almost everything, and it’s egg is used for kibble for a really good water tame

Definitely build a trap for the theri it is way way to hard to do it any other way

I don’t take any chances with a Theri…trap it in a stone box…

2x2 stone foundation.

16 stone doorways…..and a ramp for it to rampage up and fall in. Build your trap somewhere safe…..or as safe as possible because you’re going to be here a while.

Use a flyer that can take a few hits and lure the beast up the ramp. Once trapped get to knocking it out.

Keeping a Theri asleep is a marathon.

You can pre-prepare a bunch of narcotics but I find it best to simply bring along a gatherer in a cryopod ready to go berry picking. A Moschops is good as it can usually fight off pests…they are also very quick at helping you construct a temporary shelter to bolt on to your trap as taming a Theri will often take you well into the night and hypothermia is a thing.

Use batches of 100 Narcoberries to keep the Theri asleep.

Once tamed you’ll have an epic mount. Their harvesting skills are already well documented on here so I’ll provide another interesting detail…

…almost all other creatures are scared of them and will not openly attack you, this includes two of the most annoying creatures in the game…..Kapros and Microraptors! This makes swamps significantly safer as Sarco/Baryonyx and Boa will ignore you as well.

My pair can take down an alpha raptor very easily and neither are particularly high level. Definitely worth the time it takes to tame one

I love tickle chickens, I would recommend taming a low lvl one and raising it up lvl it's weight capacity to 1000 then health to 2000 (don't bother lvling it's speed just up it's stamina), I use it when scouting for new areas for a sub-camp then cut down a ton of trees w it and start building when I find a good spot (also great for gathering fiber). Pretty much a portable lumber mill tank.

Make sure you take narcotic and narco berries also do not underestimate It it can wake up fast

If you’re doing a no carnivore run, then this is probably the best thing you have to get.

Two by two stone box works well for trapping it.

I decided to try and tame one for my tribe. I set a one door frame high trap. Anyone who's tamed one of these already knows my first mistake. Second mistake: I used a bow with tranq arrows, not even a crossbow. I somehow managed to knock it out after 15 minutes of tranqing. Please learn from my mistakes and never even attempt to try this method

The worst way to do this is to shoot it run and turn around don't do this under any circumstances just run run ruuuuuuuuunnn

Beware! Your character takes damage and torpidity when fighting against these with a tame. I.e theri's hit you and your dino at the same time.

Ah the therizino. My favorite, great at everything, I use mine (plural) extensively, i suggest to tame or hatch to get several of these. They are great "clutch" wood/hide/meat and berry gathers = fast spike walls and food for tames far from home base! Once walls are down easy to set on neutral to protect, they are bossy bastards! Got two with 400% melee and 8k health..."bossy bastards" pump melee-weight(to 500-600)-hp-speed to 105-110...if possible.

Wth😭😭 my first encounter with this monster was a lvl 9 therizinosaurus with 1220 hp..😭tf? Now I js came here to get more info abt it and leave this little note.

If your in mobile, you should these guys with a soothing balm ( no one make kibble because it requires meat jerky which takes years to make)

Step 1: find a big rock, a tall cliff or build a birdcage trap

Step 2: Use a longneck, crossbow or compound bow (longneck > compound bow > crossbow) and shot it 1 per 5 sec

Step 3:put food in his/her inventory (only recommend kibble and smoothing plaim if you on mobile)

Step 4: feed it 15 narcotic every time the unconscious bar was in half

Step 5: enjoy your alpha dodo

How to tame (easy mode)

1. Build stone trap

2.lure into trap

3. Hit it with bat or tranq arrow

4.tame

5.your all done
