I've had more of these damn things die in some god forsaken way while taming than any other creature. I have an easier time taming rexes.

Also, make sure once you do tame one, if you have it follow you have something to knock down trees so it doesn't get stuck.

The easiest way to tame one is to get it trapped in a tree. It won't attack the tree and break it, and it won't be able to flee once youve added enough tranqs.

Have tons of narc instead of berries, or you will find yourself desperately trying to find more to keep it out.

Turn off its harvesting or put all its harvest points into delicate, or it will weigh itself down with wood like a dumbass

She had 2,500+ heath, and over 200 points in oxygen. She somehow drowned. When the message came up that she had died, I threw my phone and had a small breakdown. Then I deleted the game. Long story short, these guys are the best dinos you can get in my opinion, but they are not good swimmers, and do not last long in water apparently. Keep them safe, and spoil them LOTS.
