If your just starting on a new server with no solid items to defend yourself, just stay out of the way if you see one of these. They are faster than you and can kill you pretty quick

If your running from tickle fingers or wanting to get rid of one have a bow on hand its useful (as long as you don't get caught wink wink)

Hello, I will show you how to kill a theri! (aka tickle chicken) The only reason I’m not doing taming is because I haven’t managed it yet :( (Sorry) First you will need: Raptors a least 4. You can’t kill it yourself because it will tickle you. aka kill you. Plz don’t learn the hard way……. Give it a like if it helped! (I just found this out after one of these attacked my raptors.. No one died except for my pterodon :( )

here's how to tame a therizino using a very cheap method - slider, a guy that just did this. Read through the end.

Materials needed:

a mount that you can stand on (stego, trike... I used a stego for this)

crossbow/longneck

about 100 tranp arrows/darts (you'll see why in a moment)

~75 crops

~187 narcotics

~450 narcoberries(black ones)

or it's preferred kibble

or 40-50 biotoxin(i didn't use biotoxin so I'm not sure how much you would need to use so bring extra just in case)

spino dossier location/a rock that the tickle chicken can't reach you on(tamed mine at spino dossier; or you can just use the mount you bring but make sure it has high health)

Steps:

1. With your mount scout for a tickle chicken and clear the area if your a bad shot like me

2. Bring your mount to the spino dossier and have them on passive, that is important. Set them up opposite of the actual dossier and on the other side of the ruins with the staircase

3. Jump onto that ruin, and then jump and walk forward into the taller part of that ruin(follow this step as I have written it because it is very important)

4. Look for that chicken and shoot it with your crossbow/longneck

5. While it's running towards you shoot it one more time before it gets up against the pillar you are on

6. When it gets to you start shooting it again

7.(It might not happen every time) When it starts running away stay up there because it can't hit you

8. Keep shooting it if it will run into the other side of the dossier and get stuck where you can shoot it until its knocked out once it does go down and put in your narcotics/biotoxin(the berries will come in at a later time while your taming) as well as the food you're goin to use, I used about 75 corn

9. Once your narcotics run out you'll need to put in your blackberries. IMPORTANT NOTE: it's best to feed the sleep drug 2 at a time a regularly. what I mean by this is feed it when its torpor is about to go below a certain number, ex: feed it twice before it goes below 400 or 500, the number doesn't really matter as long as you can keep it from waking up before it is tamed

10. After you run out of sleep drugs put the blackberries in, do the same thing I mentioned in step 9 but lower that number to about 150-200 if you don't have that many blackberries, if you have a stego feed all of your blackberries to it and hit some bushes with it you'll get a ton of berries and seeds. If you do have enough berries follow those instructions except for gathering more berries.

Before I continue onto stepp 11 I want to let anyone who's reading this tip that play on console/PC I got no clue if this works for you since I only play on mobile, you could try this but I don't know if it'll work and I would hate for you to lose your mount and life if it doesn't. Sorry😔.

11. If you get bored of waiting like me you could do the sleep trick and skip the time but you might want to trap the theri so it doesn't get killed by anything after it tames

12. Name you tickle chicken

13. put saddle on tickle chicken if you have the materials for one or if you got one from daily gift

14. tickle some random creatures

Locations:

Spino dossier is across from herbivore island on the cliff part of it.

Extra notes:

If it turns the other way(away from the corner) chase it until you knock it out using whatever gets it stuck.

I am lvl 32/33 and I just did this if you're wondering if this is just a false tip or an actual helpful tip.

If you don't have a saddle already made or don't have blueprints don't worry just play the game how you normally would and you might get a blueprint from the daily gift or until you reach lvl 69.

I have REALLY good tip on how to kill them. One of these spawned very close to my base (tbh i got scared and moved all my other dinos somewhere else. Then i placed 3 wooden spike walls and waited for it to walk into them. Suprisingly it died pretty quickly. Both dinos and my base are safe ;)

Make sure to not underestimate these birds. One almost took out my lvl 27 argy in 3 hits. It also deals torpor and i believe it can hit i while on ur mount. It also has a lot of health and ive usually seen them in groups. A level 7 different theri almost killed my same argy also.

(If ur gonna fight it make sure you dont underestimate its damage)

Tickle = only fiber

Claw attack = no bush harvest, normal body gatheriny, normal wood gathering

Bite = only hide, only wood

Rex can damage wood giga can damage stone therizino can damage stone uhh WTF!?

Ok... Where do I start with Therizinosaurus... I'll start with location and taming. I play on ARK Mobile so this is a Therizinosaurus guide for ARK mobile.

Locate your Therizinosaurus

Therizinosaurus seems to wander in most places except the snow biome in the far north and the swamp. The Dossier is found in the swamp. I have found the creature roaming in many places, but you can usually find them the most near the green obelisk or on mountains. Once you have found a suitable Therizinosaurus, proceed.

Taming and KO

Therizinosaurus is a knockout tame. I would recommend crossbows or a dart gun. A tamed Tapejara could be super handy. Just make sure it is set to follow, or it will land. Once knocked out, if you have any soothing balm, use it. While you can buy soothing balm from the store, I think you should spend time to get the Artifact of the Hunter from the cave in the south, and tributing it to the green obelisk. This can give 10x soothing balm, bringing the taming rate from 0.875 to 8.75. If you do not have soothing balm, bring plenty of narcotics or biotoxin, and kibble. Therizinosaurus is a herbivore, and takes berries after taming.

Utility

Therizinosaurus is a good all around late game tame. It can drill through rexes with ease. It has a decent health pool, but it is not the fastest option and cannot carry too much. It has three attacks. Melee claw swipe, by pressing attack. This does knockback to enemies that are small enough. It also has a "Tickle" attack by swiping up, which does not do much damage, but can gather hundreds of fiber from bushes, thatch from trees, and get Plant Species X seeds and rare flowers in large quantities. Alt attack 2 is a bite, which does a good amount of damage, harvests hide from corpses, berries from bushes, and wood from trees.

Additionally, Therizinosaurus is a herbivore, and can heal very quickly from sweet vegetable cake. It has a 1 person saddle, and loves to ruin newbies. It is an aggressive creature with a high torpor drain. It is a bit larger than Baryonyx, and swims about as fast as it runs.

Overall rating

9/10, wish it was a bit faster but sacrifices must be made.

Is it just me or does this destroy your armour as well? 😰 when i try to tame it, when it attacks me, my armour gets destroyed in the process.. time to take a more careful approach!

So me and my friend got on a cliff and got it torpor running after about 20 tranq arrows for the level 30 and when we finished knocking it out it took around 3 hours to tame up but definitely worth the time this thing is a BEAST but it would be a good idea to trap it to get it knocked out cuz that was rough almost killed us both.

It is not hard to tame a LOW LEVEL therizonossaur. Mounting one of your fast dinos (Galimimo, Raptor, Iguanodon is preferred) and search for therizono, remember to equip a lot of narcoberries if you pretend to tame using mejoberries. when you found the wild therizono just dismount and shoot narcotic arrow against it, mount again and run to gain distance and shoot again. Do this till you take this Dino down. NEVER STAY CLOSE TO IT, cause it will kill you easily, so distance is you friend.

You'll find these killer / fluffy chickens in the forests, redwoods, and mountains also because of grass lands that are near a mountain.
