While I was taming one, I went back to my base to get some more narcotics and when I got back it just disappeared. This was in a relatively safe spot, so I had no idea if it just woke up, died, or just disappeared. I even looked around the area and it was no where to be found. Unfortunately all my crops were on it so I lost like 1000 carrots.
