Tips & Strategies

What are tips for therizinosaurus? Tips and strategies for therizinosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Speed 400 god console doesn’t work,they will get you,even if it’s a lake.they will get you.
So I live in the south of the island in a peninsula and I can’t go exploring without finding one of them(mobile btw) and for all the noobs out there seeing people say “just run”, don’t run on foot unless you have a high movement speed stat. If not, use a fast tame for example an iguanodon or just straight up use a flyer.
I know this horror story dodo bird is terrible for most people, but trust me if you get a good therizino, you’ll have a splendid fighter on your side. Yes, it was a super hard to get one. Yes, I had a few panic attacks when I thought it would wake before I could get more narcotics. But oh man, this guy is a killing machine. Great for getting many different resources. Kinda really slow when swimming, so be careful with the piranhas. Mine is now a lvl 40 something, and so far I can go through any dino I see. Brontos and rexes aren’t a problem, since most of them are under lvl 40 anyways. Also, it can go up against other therizinos with ease! The two tames I got where lvl 4 and the other lvl 5. For safety measures I had about 50 narcotics and one stack of narcoberries (500, farming helps to get them). Not sure how many mejoberries or rockarrots I had but you can look on the chart for that level ofc, and rockarrots work a lot better as well. Get as many tranq arrows as you can (30-50). I’m not sure slingshot is a good idea. Try to get on a rock or cliff where you can still aim but the therizino can’t get to you. If you don’t have a cliff like that, just run, turn shoot, RUN. Yes he may kill you, which is why you must take only the essentials and put a sleeping bag close to grab your stuff back and keep after him. Once he is out, just keep feeding him (also is a wonderful idea to have Netflix since this took me a long long time). You can set him on wander and he will collect berries and wood for you too! Once you get a saddle, you are good to go! Hopefully this helps (or at least convinces you that these dinos are actually not sooo bad). May ark be ever in your favor!
Just a reminder that the saddle for the colossal chicken is somewhere around lvl. 67 or so.
Définitively, my favourite tame
Can easily kill a wild rex or spino
My best hide farmer (even better than carnivorous, as far as I tried)
Also really good to farm meat (as the only others meat farmers would use the meat directly for themselves)
One of the best (if it's not THE best) carrots farmer, a for fiber and wood
Just leave him wandering, and you'd get berries, while you're doing anything else
At the end, the only one thing he can't farm is the minerals kind, so get yourself a thery and an ankylo / doedicurus, and you're going to farm absolutely everything you could need, litterally everything
They are pretty easy to trap between trees because they pretty big and you need a lot of narcotics to keep them down
They are very helpful takes I recommend you kill an alpha to get a good crossbow so you can knock it out faster, use a trap don’t just run around shooting it. I promise it’s faster than you. If it escapes or a max level one starts chasing you run
If u saw it run because even if u have 10m armor durability they will break not kidding
I find it easier to starve them. by letting them wake up, feeding them a carcass to heal them (which works for some reason) and then continuing to knock it out four or five times they will retain the hunger drain from each time you knock out without feeding it. That way you don’t waste as many narcotics trying to keep it asleep, it takes about 30 narc arrows to the head to ko which saves significantly more narcotics imo. Plus you don’t have to worry about it waking up cus that’s the point anyway lol
When I was first playing this game, I saw it and I thought it was passive so I went near it since I didn’t know what it was called at the time and I wanted to search it up on dododex and then the tickle chicken chased me across three continents with speed faster then a farmer with a shotgun and killed everyone and everything dont go near it
Imagine if you could tame things with narcoberries
I think this will be roughly the same size of a Rex in ark 2
When it bites (down swipe for mobile) it gathers hide, chitin, wood, berries. When it claws(?) (up swipe mobile) it gathers fiber, thatch, probably meat. When it attacks it gathers combined(and angler gel from snail). If lucky you might get it’s saddle blueprint around your lvl 30-40 in supply crate (or daily gift for mobile). Wild ones could be killed or knocked by bow on higher ground, but only around your house to grab crops and takes around 2 ark nights & days.
It’s not actually that bad to tame it’s takes a while but a stone trap 2 door traps high with wooden ramps. You can run on foot. Use a bow and trans arrows to knock it out. Stay with it feed it berries and narcotics/bio toxins and bam you have a theri hope this helped :)
Listen, this is not really a tip but I will give you one thing as a beginner player, RUN IF YOU EVER SEE HIM ON THE PATH! Seriously forget we’re you need to go and turn back, you will lose all your things and have a stressful time trying to retrieve it back quickly. Please keep in mind of this everyone who’s a starter on ARK, or anybody else who’s never encountered him. (Although I can’t lie, I luckily found an egg of this guy without him around, good luck to you guess as well ☺️ )
When I saw it I stayed as far as way as possible at first I thought it was passive and wouldn’t hurt me but once I got close it said ( dangerous area) so I backed of the next day my para was dead I Tried to kill it but it killed me I moved 100 Km away I never came back to that spot again I’m afraid to play the game now
👎👎👎
I have my island infested with these. But I never tamed one I have a spino and 2 rex covering my back yet I am afraid of going near one since it has also got his back covered with his friends.
