It's easy to tame, just feed it berries and get up close and give it a hug.

Use berries to tame this beast.Yes!berries.I thought this thing ate meat since it looked like a carnivore, put prime meat in its inventory after a while it woke up while I was guarding it, ofc I died.Finally searched what that thing eats and it was berries?!?

I recommend a trap from Mgen on Youtube. They cost very little and are very effective.

For mobile players ONLY the controls for this on mobile are a bit weird so to get fiber ,wood and thatch jump and for berries jump and attack at the same time

Tames this is one of the beat mounts ever

Can harvest wood, fiber, berrys, or hide very well. Is only attacked by wild rexes, spinos, theris, and other large carnivores but not raptors or carnos unless provoked.

Kinda fast but can fight very well and good raiding on small wood bases

First time we tried to tame one of these we thought it wasn’t going to need narcotics …WRONG we brought 500 narcotics and my tribe mate kept making narcos and coming back and it worked easily. So I recommend you bring kibble and lots of narcotics. Thumbs up if helpful!!

Get a trike a keep hitting it. It will get knockbacked and take alit damage

These guys need a nerf because it almost took out febrile (my crystal wyvern) and my wyvern did like no damage to it

It is very easy to take you need to just make 5 stone pillers on top of each other next use your bow and tranq him out the u need a trike and use him to make narkos then freed him mojoberies and wait then u have it it can kill rex too to get saddle u can watch ads and it has a chance to get his saddle blueprint enjoy

Okay so an actual tip for my mobile players out there, here are the best ways to combat this hellspawn of a creature(i still find it cute tho). (BTW THIS IS ALL CONSIDERING YOU ARE ON EASY MODE WITH MAX THERI LEVEL CAPPING AT 30)

—TIP TIME—

Tip 1.

Once you have completed the ‘Terror Bird Hunt’ pursuit you will find yourself with, quite literally, the best weapon in the game. The Mastercraft Sword. It may seem expensive at first, but trust me when I say that this thing is worth every iron bar. IT SHREDS. Like, SHREDS. One of the most effective ways to kill a Therizinosaurus head on is to use this sword (but MAKE SURE you have decent armor, I recommend chitin as a minimum). A few sword slashes and this thing is done.

Tip 2.

Longnecks are the way forward! Once you retrieve a good enough Longneck, these things are light work. One or two bullets to the head, and they’re cooked. Personally, I use the Apprentice Longneck, as damage is good and has relatively good durability(it’s also the only other longneck i own other than the primitive). MAKE SURE to be wary of it’s speed, as one shot is all it takes to get this thing hot on your feet! And trust me when I say this, IT IS FAST. You can’t run unless you have a fast mount (raptors are too slow, I have experience) or a flying mount. Otherwise, you’re merely a piece of meat for the Vegan Rex.

Tip 3.

Trapping. If you are really having trouble with these guys, simply use a trap! (You should know i have zero experience with traps so search it up or use a large bear trap). Traps are VERY good for maiming these pesky chickens, as it can stop them in their tracks! This same thing can also be used as a way to potentially tame them, but that’s up to you. MAKE SURE you bring a good enough weapon to finish it off before it escapes though!

My first tames are always a dilophosaur swarm and I always put them on neutral so whenever one gets attack they all go wasp mode the spray poison and bite and claw what attacked them it takes a matter of seconds even on a trike! But turns out it doesn’t work on this ostrich. So do what I did shoot it and ride a raft to the nearest giga I know Mr. IM GONNA KILL YOU. Ya he finished Mr. oversized ostrich in a matter of moments. Or you can lure that bird with claws to a megalodon! Both work out with bird blood everywhere.😄😃

I know this horror story dodo bird is terrible for most people, but trust me if you get a good therizino, you’ll have a splendid fighter on your side. Yes, it was a super hard to get one. Yes, I had a few panic attacks when I thought it would wake before I could get more narcotics. But oh man, this guy is a killing machine. Great for getting many different resources. Kinda really slow when swimming, so be careful with the piranhas. Mine is now a lvl 40 something, and so far I can go through any dino I see. Brontos and rexes aren’t a problem, since most of them are under lvl 40 anyways. Also, it can go up against other therizinos with ease! The two tames I got where lvl 4 and the other lvl 5. For safety measures I had about 50 narcotics and one stack of narcoberries (500, farming helps to get them). Not sure how many mejoberries or rockarrots I had but you can look on the chart for that level ofc, and rockarrots work a lot better as well. Get as many tranq arrows as you can (30-50). I’m not sure slingshot is a good idea. Try to get on a rock or cliff where you can still aim but the therizino can’t get to you. If you don’t have a cliff like that, just run, turn shoot, RUN. Yes he may kill you, which is why you must take only the essentials and put a sleeping bag close to grab your stuff back and keep after him. Once he is out, just keep feeding him (also is a wonderful idea to have Netflix since this took me a long long time). You can set him on wander and he will collect berries and wood for you too! Once you get a saddle, you are good to go! Hopefully this helps (or at least convinces you that these dinos are actually not sooo bad). May ark be ever in your favor!

Takes a lot of narcs to keep down but good harvester and can be just as powerful as a rex. Amazing tame for multiple uses.

I have my island infested with these. But I never tamed one I have a spino and 2 rex covering my back yet I am afraid of going near one since it has also got his back covered with his friends.

Remember: Never let it touch you. Tranq it while at a safe distance. Took me around 20 tranqs to knock down a level 18 one. Since my base was nearby, i rushed there and retrieved hundreds of biotoxin and 500 tintoberries. Fed him the biotoxin and berries, and now i have a friend named Terry.

Came across by accident chasing a parasaur while training my pack of 8 dilos... dont need to train any dilos now, he killed all of them in a couple seconds then me.
