I was riding a level 232 pteranodon with way upwards of 2000% attack and thought a level 108 Theri would be chump change. I was wrong. My pteranodon got his butt kicked and almost died to this guy. Do not take them lightly and be extremely prepared if you’re trying to fight one. - RF

If you want to kill these creatures because they linger around your base, be equipped with a sword and a simple pistol. You shoot them from afar and if they get too close, grab your sword immediately! If you want to tame them, either make a field of large bear traps, or shoot them from above if it's safe (stand on a object where they can't reach you or damage the object). In either cases you need to tranq them out, so don't even think of using a wooden club. Maybe you'll find a gap in a cliff and lure them into it. They fall from the cliff and you can tranq them out, but it won't be easy tho. There are enough trees and rocks they'll accidentally hide behind while trying to attack you. Also if they get too far, aiming with a crossbow will be hard.

Bring TONS of narcotics. Because I found myself running around for half an hour real time, looking for berries; because the torpor rate went down really fast! And it took absolutely FOREVER for a low level 2. (My servers taming rights are turned up fairly high.)

Honestly the best dino for getting fiber, wood, berries, rare flowers, and rare mushrooms considering it's an all-in-one type of beast and can adequately defend itself and isn't as slow as molasses. Bump weight and melee and add speed and stamina after you're happy with the first two stat levels. It does okay on thatch, I'd grab a Megaloceros to cover that though.

Only herbivore in-game that is aggressive at close range, even if you don’t hit it (yeti is aggressive, but only alpha herbivore, so dosen’t count)

This thing will chase you to the end of the earth. The only way I can get it to agro off me is hide in an abandoned house.

If you have a friend with a saddled bronto taming this will be easy

Idk if it is hard because I am level 61 and have 185 percent melee damage and I three banged it. But then again the first time around it destroyed me

Get a tapejara hang on a steep wall upside down and shoot him in head with darts. Make sure he can’t hit you tho otherwise ull die second hit. Wait for him to starve then put crops in. Needs bout 100+ narcos for low level

How to kill: craft some spikes (any kind), and cautiously place it in front of the therinzo’s path. When it touches it, it will try to attack the spike wall. Then while it’s busy attacking the spike, take out a ranged weapon that does a lot of damage and kill it. Did it and it worked.

So here I am, in the middle of the swamp after 5 deaths waiting for a mutated chicken to eat my food.

When starting out on a new server with nothing, try to tame one of these bad boys. They can easily kill almost anything and harvest a lot.But try to hide it as it is always a target for strong tribes near you base.
