5. Looks. Ok. Listen. I know this sounds biased, but, come on, look at the spino. It sail gives it its distinct look and makes it stand out. Meanwhile with rexes “WAIT OMG IS THAT A GI- nope. Never mind, it’s a rex”

So, that’s my argument on why spinos are better than rexes. Don’t get the idea I’m calling rexes useless I just think spinos are a bit better.

These guys are arguably the kings of mid game progression tames because they are an all around pick with it being a t rex a baryonix and a monster of its own, they are way easier to find as well, with them spawning in most mid sized rivers and small lakes. Hope this was helpfull.

When you take a high level one of these and need to level it, just put it in aggresive behavior and leave it in the water, it will gain tons of levels from all the fish. This works especially on aberration with karkinos

If you decide to take your spino for a swim NERVER go near a Cnidaria, no matter how high your spino is they will paralyze you and it and you will have to sit there watching it VERY slowly die.

The Spinosaurus has a great attack reach and knock back. Keep them in front of you and your mounted Spinosaurus can take on large groups of medium to small dinos with ease.

If you receive a spino saddle blueprint from a drop while your lower than level 71, craft it as soon as possible, regardless of the grade of the saddle. You won't regret it.

The Rex of aberration immune to radiation and stronger then people think!

Just tamed my first spino and killed four therizinosaurus, and three alpha raptors pretty easily, so this thing is tough

This is a goated creature. Spinos are way better than t rexes, as they can go underwater too, and their patterns can look way cooler. They are easier to tame, I got a level 95 with 40-90 tranq arrows and with their upgrade stats they can murder any creature in the area as long as it’s on the ground super easy. 10/10 creature.

Bane of early game, Carry of late game. If you dont have the means to tame a giga yet, you should go for a spino over a rex.

One thing a lot of people don’t talk about is that when riding this guy small predators will ignore you mostly

They can be found on The Island, The Center, Ragnarok, Extinction, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island, and Fjordur

There is also an Aberrant Spinosaurus that spawns on Aberration, Valguero, Crystal Isles, and Fjordur

There is also an X Spino that spawns on Genesis Part 1 (they should spawn on Lost Island but they are exclusive to Genesis Part 1)

They get a hydration buff when they touch water

Their saddle can be unlocked at level 71

They are immune to the Baryonyx’s Tail Spin

They have a quadrupedal and bipedal stance (They deal more damage in bipedal stance but move faster in quadrupedal stance)

Yay! The new Spino is coming in the Dino TLC Phase 2! It’ll be semi-bipedal (can run faster quad and will use claws to attack when biped) and it’ll have a boost in health regen when it enters water!

Once you've tame a spino make sure you upgrade its weight damage and health those are the most important things you need to keep it alive and deadly

Do not tame a Spino. Tame two and breed them. Tamed spinos are good. Imprinted spinos have zero chill. Hands down my favorite mount on land. Crazy fast (can out run gigas) do great damage, especially with the hydrated buff and they're super stamina efficient. The Rex can be a bit more tanky, but tank doesn't matter when you're slapping down Rexes like they're dilos.

These are just my favorite ever. The creature design is awesome, and the super powerful bipedal mode is amazing. They dish out powerhouse levels of damage, and are very fast. As an old time player, I’ve just always loved these. I need a couple of these around my base even if I’m not using them. They’re my babies.
