So i was flying around the map with my argi... Then saw three spinos (not together but close to each other like 200m or something) at the redwood forest river... Female 95 female 25 and female 10 i killed the 2 lower ones they spawned again... Same gender and level... Did this like 5 times... How can i fix that lol i want to have a high lvl male to breed him with the female 95

For taming use 1 behemoth gate and 2 Dino gates, lead them through behemoth gate and close gate, form a triangle with the gates.

Harder to tame than a Rex. It’s torpor is lower but drops much faster, and it’s faster and hardest to hit. They’re also rarer and get killed more often

So if you want to tame it and your low level, go up high. If you can't go high (like for me lol) then get flak armor. Full set is 500 armor (even alpha raptor and therizino can't deal a lot of dmg to you with that armor)! So I see one and I went on a rock (I was scared and was far away so I often use rocks as extra range not safety). It came to me and kept moving to the point I kept missing my shots! I called mine dodger (you know why now lol). Since I had my armor though I was safe. I'm gonna test chitin armor and see how that goes wish me luck lol.

The amount of tranq darts listed is very wrong.

People say ‘build stone pillars’ but all you have to do is get up high. Now take a rifle, use drank darts (I had 24 and maybe more, but I had some leftover and some shots I missed). Also, if you are on a hill shooting the spino, make sure it can’t climb it. Start shooting, and once successfully knocked out, feed it. Raw fish meat, prime fish meat, and I believe even raw meat, and raw prime meat work (I used fish meat, so I can’t be sure about the raw meat). I used bio toxin, with does +80 torpidity, while a normal narcotic does +40. It says the bio toxin does 30 damage, but it actually doesn’t do any (I believe it only hurts humans). Once you tame the spino, I must warn you, once you are able to ride it (after crafting the saddle on a smithy), if you run over small creatures you kill them. But other than that, they are a amazing, strong, swift creature. And I really suggest taming, I was scared the first time I tried, but you’ll feel the sweet triumph after a while. It was kind of ez for me to tame(I tamed this on aberration whilst riding ravager btw) first I went up onto a rock where the Spino cannot hit me then I shot it with traqs till it was knocked out,CARRY NARCOTICS OR BIO TOXIN!THEIR TORPOR RUNS OUT FAST! I tamed one by starving it and feeding prime it went up by around 80 smth percent then it was tamed!

How to tame beach spinos

First of all you want a minimum of 30 regular tranq darts.

I personally tamed a sarco for getting this spino.

Step one:

Get on the sarco and start shooting at the spino with the longneck.

Step 2: if it gets close go back across the river(sarco moves rapid in water)

Step 3:

Rinse and repeat.

Make two stone dinosaur gate frames parallel to each other, then add two others creating a V shape at one open end, leaving a space far behind the V shape for the spino to enter

Then, you can lure the spino in, bravely run behind the spino hoping it spares you, and finish the trap by adding another gateway to where the spino entered, aka give the smiley face a unibrow

Use the elixir from desmodus to get a 30% taming buff

This Dino is op it is faster than allos not in water and in water its rivals gallimimus speed. It has better dps than a Rex. It can swim very fast making it a good travel Dino. And it has great stamina unlike other large creatures. It’s only downside is it’s not as tanky as other large creatures like Rex,bronto,titanasour etc. also it’s saddle is cheap and they are relatively common spawning on the island. The only problem I have is I find it very hard to find a good level. Over all this is one of the best Dinos in the game. To tame this you will have to make a trap or it will run away and you won’t be able to catch it. And if you are a low level do not try to fight it. To kill it I always tried to get it to hit a bronto so the bronto can kill it. I hope this helps.

They love fish meat than meat so feed it with fish meat or prime fish meat

They are not easy to tame but a easy way is to get one large trap and 2 stone dino gates and pillars about 8 and build it then attract a spino then run out the Crack and run to the open door close it then tranq it

Here is how to tame a spino!

Material:

Trap 1

9 stone foundations

36 stone doorframes

9 wooden ramps

Trap 2:

6 Dino doorframes and 1-2 large bear traps.

Use Dododex to find out how many tranq dart/arrows and bring 50 to 100 more.

Cryo a good herbivore/prepare TONS of narc berries because they wake up insanely fast

Steps:

1.Have a flyer that can actually carry the trap if u use the first.

2.Find a high lv spino

3.lead it into the trap and if it’s trap 2 quickly put the 1 gate left similar to Rex trap.

4.Shoot a bunch of tranq into its face/body

5.Put food that’s at least better than prime. I suggest prime fish or kibble

6. Starve your tame and use the bed trick and shove down hundreds of narcoberries if needed

7. Boom you have a amphibious carnivore!

Advantages over Rex(which you do know how to tame I suppose)

Faster, and stam lasts longer

Has a hydrophilic buff that increases speed stam and dmg

Has way better DPS than Rex

Has incredible knock back that kills Rexes and alpha raptor carnos.

Harvests loads of fish and bio toxin

Killed a spino

Once you find one, try leading it somewhere farther from the ocean or a large lake. It will just run once it has a high torpor (and there fast) into the ocean and if you nock it out it will drown and if you don’t it will prob get killed by Meg or something. I know from experience:

Put five stone dino Gates and a large bear trap. This is optional but safer if you use it. Lure the spino in and quickly go to the back and place a final gate then just tranq it.The bear trap makes it so it won't escape while your placing the last gate

Best mount for killing alpha mosa and obtaining ascendant fishing poles take three to 4 buddies on spinos and scuba tanks and goto town enjoy the fishing I have 15 ascendant poles sitting in my locker right now

When this dino is in low health or will get knocked out this dino will run super fast,you cant even keep up so I suggest to build a trap to tame this
