This walking tank is the best option if you want a tanky dinosaur sadly it's health is normally not the best but the attack is just too good for a dino I suggest taming it but taming it is hard as hell since traps don't work

Spinosaurus deal immense damage, especially with their claws.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• A lot of Narcotics

● 100 or more Tranq arrows/darts

•Stone Gateway Trap & Large Bear Trap

● Exceptional Kibble or Sickle to harvest Prime Fish Meat if kibble is unavailable

• Saddle/Cryopod to get it home quickly

HOW TO TAME

Spinos are found around RIVER BEACHES, not OCEAN BEACHES.

They are surprisingly fast and attack swiftly too.

Place down your trap and lead the spino in on an argentavis.

Trap the spinosaurus inside and tranq it out.

Feed it the required food and narcotics.

Víola! You now have one of the most well-rounded creatures in the entire Ark.

How to tame spino (aka Bull killer

1 find spino ( spino spawn in redwood water or in water

2 use fliying dino like pteranodon ( tapejara is recomended

3 atack him in air

4 wait until him\her unsoncious

5 transfer meat fish meat or reguler meat (argentavis kible is recomended)

6 wait until the tame finish

7 you have spino ( aka Bull killer)

For noob

1 use pteranodon

2 find spino

3 attack him in air until unsoncious

4 transfer raw meat (all raw meat)

5wait until the proces finish

I donot usually time spino but I play in hardcore hard so max level 300 near my house I found a spjno with level 290 I tamed it same giga trap but with stone not metal I tried it it made me amazed it was fast 450 by one hit every one level on health it increases by 1000 so I reached it 20 thousand and went to find male to mate!!!!!

I honestly hate to admit it, but this Dino is one of the most annoying causes of death, how to tame Dino is actually quite easy, just prepare tranq arrows, bow, crossbows, and Grappling hook, then lure him towards you then climb to a high place to avoid his attacks, Use arrows to be able to use tranq arrows because maybe the crossbow won't be able to be used when using a grapling hook, usually he will run away after being hit by 12-15 tranq arrow attacks, repeat the same until He fainted

Spinos, similar to Tropical Crystal Wyverns, get a buff when in water. Also, by clicking the L stick for consoles (unsure for keyboard) darn thing stands up and does more damage but is slightly slower.

Also also, better attack speed then Rexes.

You can’t use 6 tek stegos,on a level 24 spino killed all my tek stegos! Beware of these guys! You can’t outrun them! Stay away from the water!

If you’re someone who likes traps like me, follow this easy guide. You’re going to need: 15x Stone Foundation, 4-6x wooden ramp(depends on how far the ground is) and 45x stone doorways. All you have to do is get a spino agro and run him into the trap and get out. Pretty easy.

If you wanna fight one of these guys you NEED range! They have no hit box up close so they‘ll just scratch you up and leave you for dead.

Why making traps when cliffs exist? Use grapples to grapples the side of the cliffs then switch to your bow and shoot it if you want to tame it you can,he will never catch you because they cant climb,yes. Im talking about taming/kill the spino its easier,safer,and doesnt waste a lot of resource

How to Tame the Spinosaur on Mobile:

The Spino you want to tame must be between levels 1 - 150.

1 - 2 Argentavis Kibble (1 Argy Egg, 1 Citronal, 1 Prime Meat Jerky, 2 Mejoberries, 3 Fiber, 1 Water)

1 Soothing Balm (Normal)

3 x 3 Trap

20 - 30 Tranq Darts

How to get Argentavis Kibble and Soothing Balm:

To get Argentavis Kibble, you need an egg. Luckily, at this point of the game, you should have a lot of Argentavis. If you don’t have them, search the mountains. The egg is fairly common. For soothing balm, farm The Cave in The South.

How to trap:

You may have a prebuilt taming pen. If not, build one, preferably out of stone although it is expensive. Make sure the trap is 3 x 3 and you have your dinos away from it. Use a flyer to lead it in, preferably the Quetzal or the Pteranodon. The Quetzal can tank hits and can almost out-fly a Spino, and the Pteranodon is just too fast for it.

How to knockout:

Have your dinos away, then shoot it. Make sure the next shot won’t be delayed for long.

How to tame:

Get your balm and kibble and tame it. Self-explanatory.

How to easily knock out this spino first get an level 157 equus and get complete equus quest you will get master equus saddle it has high defense now next find a spino and knock it out with its kick and get 100 narcotics or 40 bio toxin and get raw prime fish meat (raw prime fish meat is from the sabertooth salmon) (up if this is helpful!)

Spinos beat rexes in PvP 100% of the time. Go into 2 legged mode, and all in one motion run past the rex, turn around, shove the snout of your spino into the rear of the rex and profit. Because spinos are faster and have a much smaller turning radius, the opposing rex is completely unable to get you out from behind them. I've done this before, they literally cannot shake you no matter how hard they try. Just pump melee and stam and you'll be dropping 20th generation bred rexes effortlessly.

For people who want to tame spinos, do not make the same mistake I made. I decided, "Oh, its gonna be a great idea to tame that male spino and breed, after all its gonna have decent damage". Well I just messed up. I tamed a lvl 3... It was.. WEAK. The damage was 142.1%.

I had learned it after I bred the spinos. I was lucky to even get a baby lvl 20 with good melee. Yet, the moral is to not tame a low lvl spino, the melee results will be terrible. (I killed the Spino after I learned it was weak).

Yet, if you are looking for a good melee damage spino, low lvls arent for you. Please do not make the same mistake I did...
