If you are a starter and you want to tame one of these or kill one of these I recommend making a trap or manual saving your game in the files so if you die instead of going for your loot over and over again just load the saved file.

If you want to knock one out just make sure there are other creatures close. They get distracted easily and will ignore you if there’s other things to kill closer than you are. Just make sure nothing is angry at it I was taming a spino that was about 70% done until a turtle showed up that was angry at the spino and killed it

If you play on ark mobile, make sure to see what their level is, at low levels below 5 I think, both the spino I have and the one I am taming rn (single player so it's frozen in the background) the tame bar raised by 7% roughly for both, and they're lvl 4 and lvl 3. So it only takes exactly 15 meat to tame these, and they're easy to knock out, cliff, when they run, ir you're fast enough and have enough to survive the jump from tur cliff jump off and chase em

This is a hard to get dino know for its hostile activity and apex strength for taming it is not an easy task knowing that they can swim and run faster then you with means retreat is not an option. But an easy way to get one is to steal an egg but doing this is very dangerous but the size of the spino I so big but it has a slow attack on trees witch means if you can get away into a dense forest you can snag a egg without death but you should not be so happy yet you need to get away from the spinos not leading them to your camp. You should go deeper in the forest and then head to your camp if something kills you that means you should go get your items at first death and if your items despawn then restart the process until you succeed.

They are really fun to use but when taming have at least three people to help you tame it or just trap it

So if you want to tame a Spino on single player after a short amount of time one will appear in the lake by south zone one (starter Island) I hope this helps

Lol So, These things scared me early game, I have a apprentice bow and good aim, but this level 4 spino was scaring me the 2nd day i played the world (TIP: If your on the ISLAND map, In south zone easy 1 there are tall rocks lead it to it and then shoot its head for 1 minute, It will try to flee when its at 200-400 health Very slow, Dont go close to it or its certain death) Anyways, These things are death early game. Avoid them as MUCH as you can, They are overpowered, Id suggest being level 30-10 and having a smithy recipe.

First find one, second get a ton of tranquilizer arrows, third lead it to a cliff, fourth shoot shoot shoot.

I saw a spino fighting Seven megalodons and then I saw the spino and the megs were gone. Soooo

Use a smoothing balm and give raw meat have 15 narcotics or more and your done with a low level for high levels use more narcotics and if you have prime meat so easy

In general, for an easy tame build a taming raft. Make sure to have a few large storage boxes filled with narcotics, few preserving bins with meat or kibble in it.

Lure any kind of creature into the raft with a flyer (pteras or argies works better).

Once trapped tranq it down, and move the raft away from the shore a bit. Not to much or you'll atract leedsythis (those giant fish-whales thingies lol)

Easy and happy taming

In my opinion, the spino is one of the best land mounts in the game. They have a high DPS and more stamina than a Rex. They can run and swim very quickly if you upgrade their movement speed. If you have a high level spino, you can easily kill alphas (might want to be careful with alpha rexs though.) They're good for meat runs because a high level spino can slaugher almost anything.

Look up Captain Fatdog on YouTube for his Spino trap, it’s the cheapest and easiest I’ve used. Just 14 stone pillars, works like a charm.

Tranquilizer darts is the best way to knock it out. When you knock it out make sure it’s not underwater so it does not drown when you tame it.

Spinos are beasts when it comes to pvp now can enrage gigas 👌

These are so deadly mobs but if you are a little bit far from them they won't hurt you. Like gigas if you want to kill one, just go on a cliff and kill it cause it won't target you, first it's gonna kill everything around you and him then only he will target you.

This is good for taming anything on singleplayer just leave and put Dino food drain on max for quicker tames
