Spinos are pretty awesome Dino’s, I would recommend a baryonux over them if you’re looking for an aquatic mount, because spinos have the turning radius of a bus underwater, but on land it’s a different story. Spinos can switch between a fighting and traveling mode traveling is on their arms and legs and fighting is standing on their legs, on 4 legs they are very quick and go with a standard bite that does decent damage, on 2 legs, while slower they will shred just about anything, they do massive damage with their claws and have a huge knock back when they smack even very large creatures, and if they touch water their movement speed and damage are both given a huge buff for a short while, all in all an amazing traveling mount and an equally awesome fighter,

If you need narcotics just get crop plot and put poop then split all meat into stacks of 1

So its massive and intimidating but not that hard to tame. I have customised my settings abit cus I'm only solo player so my strategy may vary in effectiveness

I was in gloom grove- lost island, there was a waterfall and a hill too steep so he had nowhere to run either side; i took just under 150 tranq arrows and my journeyman crossbow, 163% dmg and 215 durab, I had around 70 trans left afterwards cus I missed afew shots

what I did was fly up to top of valley and build a foundation and catwalk to look out to shoot safely untill he was running then I parachuted down and chased him on my megalocerops (stag) cus hes fast, knocked him, killed any dangers and waited to tame, he was lvl 150 and I used 6 prime meat,

now i use him primarily to get Pearl's and oil from leeches right next to my cliff base, might not be 'the most efficient' to gather them to the pros out there but it's an easy 500 Pearl's and 2k oil in 3 mins running round and spamming attack :)

If your thinking about taming one of these bad boys just make a row of 8 large bare traps and in each column put three four large bear traps so when they get out of the first bear trap they get trapped agian

These guys are Easy to tame because it only takes 4 to 10 tranq darts. One spino spawns at the weathertop region at the bottom of the map with a giant cliff you can stand at and shoot the spino at the bottom of the cliff.

Ifyou are looking for a place to level up a spinosauras on the island, go to caro island. There is a lot of strong Dino’s and alphas can spawn there.Red and purple drops are more common and There’s also a lot of water for it to get it’s water buff too.

If you own aberration, get an aberrant spino; they are SO GOOD for getting reapers in the radiation zone! They take no radiation damage and they are great attackers!

The ULTIMATE Dino team: island, mobile compatible too

Tanks: 3-5 sarcos, a therizno, and 2 brontos

Scouts: high level raptors, and mabey some sabbers

Attackers: 1giga, 2 spinos, and a Rex (if no giga spino is great sub)

Pursuits: (not on mobile) a small team of pegos with some itchy seagulls both are to drain supplies

Ariel team: idrk about aerials so I’m thinking a quiztle and some pteranodons and tappys canons attached and riders with bows

When attacking a op tribe with these dinos here is a good strategy:

Send the scouts to survey the camp, and report back. Send the aerials first, they will be kinda of wave 1/2 and will distract the op players and keep eyes mostly off the ground. Then send in the pursuits. They will rob most of the players out of their stuff and distract them. Now, start moving in the tanks and the attackers. Have the brontos break through any wall that keeps the others from getting in and then start demolishing the base. Have the raptors and sabers stay at the edge of the base to catch escapers. With this strat you will totally ruin someone’s day but become sooo op if u

win 🏆

Best way to tame these, is to build a 3 x 3 stone platform, then put stone door frames 3-4 tall all around it. Then, build a ramp up one side and lure the spino into it. I prefer 4 tall walls, but 3 tall should work just fine.

When knocked out. Dont leave them unnatended. A stupid dilo came and killed mine at 70%. Wasted allnmy biotoxins and prime meat

I would recommend using a flyer and finding a high rock then tranq Shove raw prime meat Down it’s throat and use a SOOTHING BALM PLS

Spino is really fast so if you go near his aggro range he will kill you! Spino has this water buff that makes him faster and stronger if he is in water

These things are the scariest thing when they chase you hands down they are ridiculously fast and will run down gallimimus if they are water boosted. If your gonna trap one use something very fast or stand in the trap.

you will need: fish, crossbow, tranq arrows, tame helper, narcotics and a flyer. (you can use a gun and darts) if your looking to tame one of these go to the big green metal thing in the sky and there is a little gorge around the center. find a spino and lead it in (make sure it’s not to far away) and you can shoot it and once it goes down hop on ur pteranodon, quetzal etc and fly down give it some fish and tame helper and narcotics and depending on the lvl u will have it in 1-20 mins FUN FACT: the big green thing in the sky i was talking about if you have a dinos implant and enough amber (it will say how many in the bottom right of the text) and you go to the green, red, purple/bule thing (idk what they are called lol 😅) in the sky you can revive the dino (WARNING: idk wether it works on computer but i done it on my iphone with a horse and it worked!) hope u enjoyed! For trap you need only dino gate he cant go out from that and spino can easily jump from 3 hight wall use dino gate and for ramp use foundation for one side 4 wall hight required

Encountering is surprisingly easy (for me at least). You can find it in nearby rivers. Usually they will rampage overthere. If you stay there too long however, it might wander itself into the nearby woods, but will not wander too far away. I suggest killing it for easy xp, but remember to keep at least one high lv (as high as possible,or at the safest place to tame).You will not regret of your decision later on, trust me.

Spino’s are OP but if you choose to tame one using a trap make sure they can’t run over it because the you have to re lure it in to the trap
