I tamed 6 spino in one day. u just need 150 tranq arrows and a high ground or something to hinder them from getting close to you like dino doors. Spino fan. *Like a mafia when you have 6 spino following ya*

How to tame a spino

Step 1 get tranqs lots if your trying to tame a high level

Step 2 get prime meat or prime fish meat and naracotics these guys topper drains fast

Step 4 if your the right level give it the saddle

Step 5 wait for it to tame and surround him in spike walls for protection

Step 6 name him

If you can’t trap it, find a way to stand on a cliff or something and shoot down at it until it runs away, then follow it. (Little something for those who don’t wanna try to lure it into a trap like me)

If you want to tame a Spino, use a typical 4x4 trap, and if possible, lure it with a Pteranodon or Argentavis and put it in the trap. You can probably use a tranquilizer arrow, but tranquilizer bullets are more effective. Once you put it to sleep, put meat, marbled meat, fish meat, otoro, and kibble in your inventory. You can also get food locally. The unlock level for the saddle is 71.

This is a way to tame a spino. If you click on it then you will guaranteed find a way to successfully knock out and tame a spino.

Me and my friend came across one of these in our aberration server and we wanted to tame it but we’re were nowhere near strong enough to tranq it to death without extra protection. And our luck was great and it was busy attacking things beside a river. We had built our hut farther upstream and had a raft. Being the ignorants we are we spent an hour trying to figure out how to tame the thing and then my friend came up with an idea. So we basically reinforced our entire raft with stone walls, foundations, and ceilings. We put windows in the walls that way we could shoot it without being totally open. We eventually knocked it unconscious and fed it raw fish and regular meat along with about two raw prime meat as well. We kept it knocked out by force feeding it narcoberries and then we tamed it and named it Spencer.

These beasts run very fast and I found a cheaper trap for it. 5x5 stone foundation with 4 walls high and ramps works on trappin' it, however, it's hard to get it in so ready your bird to take a beating.

Once, I was just a Beach Bob. I had a small thatch hut on the beach, with my dilos and Parasaur. I knew there was a Spinosaurus nearby, but it wasn’t very close. The next morning, I looked out upon the lake right by my house, and there is a freaking Spinosaurus swimming in there, just out of range, hunting fish. Nothing bad happened to me, my dinos, or my hut. Be careful around these guys.

Find big tall rock or make a trap or use a fast dino to use weapon just shoot the spino with tranq arrow or tranq dart until its knock out use so many narcotic or just use soothing balm to tame faster use narcotic if you don't have balm because spino torpor drop really fast and use prime fish meat to tame faster

One time a level 46 spino was attacking but I had four spike walls. I got him to(play ring around the rosey)walk right into them. They did so much damage all I had to do was fire one shot from my crossbow with normal arrows. So if you have a spino problem… just do what I did! Hope this helps!

These are just my favorite ever. The creature design is awesome, and the super powerful bipedal mode is amazing. They dish out powerhouse levels of damage, and are very fast. As an old time player, I’ve just always loved these. I need a couple of these around my base even if I’m not using them. They’re my babies.

They get their hydration buff when ankle-deep.

You see spinos are great to kill bosses even without it's buff but a rex need a yutyranus while a spin doesnt bec even if it doesnt have a buff it still stronger than a rex plus I had fought a level 100 alpha rex with a level 75 spino and still win and had about 1k health left!

They can be found on The Island, The Center, Ragnarok, Extinction, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island, and Fjordur

There is also an Aberrant Spinosaurus that spawns on Aberration, Valguero, Crystal Isles, and Fjordur

There is also an X Spino that spawns on Genesis Part 1 (they should spawn on Lost Island but they are exclusive to Genesis Part 1)

They get a hydration buff when they touch water

Their saddle can be unlocked at level 71

They are immune to the Baryonyx’s Tail Spin

They have a quadrupedal and bipedal stance (They deal more damage in bipedal stance but move faster in quadrupedal stance)

If you’re low level, stay really far away from dis fish eating rex, it spawns in rivers and around lakes, by water. It’ll try kill you if you come anywhere near it. In my opinion, best way to get rid of it is to lead it to a herd of sauropods or dangerous herbivores. If there is none nearby, run away from any water source and it will sometimes just lose interest
