Easiest way to tame is from on top of a rock. If you spot it from far away it will come up to you and smack your head off.

I built a small wooden house boat specifically to go down the river between fars peak and smugglers pass. I was half way between the mouth of the river and the bottom of that frozen peak where there where rocks in the stream, when I saw a spino. At the time I was pretty low level, so I waited for it to fight some dinos and get lower in health. Well, it happened. A herd of trikes fought it, and when I thought it was dead, I started passing through. Then a raptor pack showed, so I stood in the center of my boat, and attacked their heads through my walls. When I finally killed the pack, the spino was back. It wasn't dead enough for me to kill it at the time, so I had 10 seconds to process what to do: save my chest of stuff, or get out. Well I had to destroy my wall to escape. To most, that is crazy to try to escape such a fast dino, but to me, it wasn't. I had always put points to my own movement speed since the very beginning. I out ran that sucker. So dont ever assume their dead. Never.

Ive seen a lot of these suckers by the southern plains. Also, Ive noticed that if you are escaping one, try to find some fish. It will become distracted by the fish allowing you to escape. Hope this helps!

I have a sarco that is like lv 65 or something and I just normally love to go around the map and kill spinos with him but now I have to take my flier and try and go take one

I randomly saw a spino next to my absence so I was stupid cuz I was on call with my bestie and i tried to tame it and now look at me I’m chilling with a tamed spino

Not only are they super deadly but they are also wimps when you lower there health i took one on and i died the first time and then i chased that thing down and lost it about 10 minutes later i found it and killed it to find out that it Literally had nothing in its inventory!!!....

So then i choped it up fyi dont be dumb like and face one of these bad boys on good luck and try not to die

If you want to take one down, I suggest a raft because they are usually really fast in water and always spawn in shallow rivers. Make a well fortified raft (stone metal or tek)

With a ballista turret. Make sure you have at least three bolts. (Small tip: they are very powerful and fast so watch out!)

How to prevent it from killing you, easy, stay away from it and build right next to where it normally is, like come on guys, use ya brains.

I was lvl 32 me and my whole tribe (2 people) we tried and barely killed one of these things after loosing ten pets when we get back ONE SPAWNS IN OUR BASE AND KILLSE EVERTHING so yah we barely survived everyone is invited to the funeral if 20 Dino’s one 👍 is one RIP

I lost my team my trike my Raptor Army and my precious dodo Dave and all my progress because of her Army of gigs rexes and SPINOS I hate them so much and I wish they would go away forever

People who says spinos don’t suck have clearly never had their 20 pets slaughtered by one, as they run away in fear. Only one of my faithful companions survived the attack, and I’ve dedicated my playing time to murder the spino. I will stop at NOTHING to avenge my babies.

I had a level 50 spino named rampage, I loved him so much he helped me a lot. But one day another spino stumbled upon my base and killed rampage and all my Dinos including 2 brontos, 1 therizino, 4 raptors, and more, I was so heartbroken. I then quit the game but I recently came back.

I had saw one on the river untamed near my base, I was getting my tranq arrows ready, until that time I was crafting spike wall it breached my base and instantly killed my albino t-rex (beware), from that day I started hating them, because they have some crazy aggression, but when I found out one of them got stuck in the river, I tamed one despite the hate, and I've been setting my tamed spino into aggressive mode to kill all dinos in my area, sadly I cant forgive these guys so I dont care if it dies.

If spino by a beach grab/build raft and the go out to a very deep part in ocean and shoot, he won't be able to reach you, this also works in k.oing it.
