I had a level 50 spino named rampage, I loved him so much he helped me a lot. But one day another spino stumbled upon my base and killed rampage and all my Dinos including 2 brontos, 1 therizino, 4 raptors, and more, I was so heartbroken. I then quit the game but I recently came back.
I had saw one on the river untamed near my base, I was getting my tranq arrows ready, until that time I was crafting spike wall it breached my base and instantly killed my albino t-rex (beware), from that day I started hating them, because they have some crazy aggression, but when I found out one of them got stuck in the river, I tamed one despite the hate, and I've been setting my tamed spino into aggressive mode to kill all dinos in my area, sadly I cant forgive these guys so I dont care if it dies.
I’m on mobile and I can’t tame a level 2 with slingshot
any tips
STOP saying spoons suck you stupid idiots. They are the third best dinosaur in aberration only outclassed by the rock drake and reaper queen, they can be used to harvest biotoxin due to their large aoe, they are relatively strong and attack very fast unlike the rock drake and reaper, and they lose torpor very fast
If spino by a beach grab/build raft and the go out to a very deep part in ocean and shoot, he won't be able to reach you, this also works in k.oing it.
I’m so OP that I only need 100 traqlzing darts and a master craft longneck
Quick easy tip from experience: If your house is next to one of these monsters and the swamp, and you are a noob. I recommend emptying your inventory in your house and go steal a Spino egg and lure them into the swamp. Then you have a win-win scenario; Either the spino dies or he clears the swamp for you.
I saw the top of the fin a thousand it was a Demetrius
During my second day on the island, I encountered one of these beasts. So I hopped on this app and found how many tranqs it would take to knock it out. It was a level 18, and with a normal bow it should have taken 20 before it was knocked out. Needles to say 36 of them to the head was not enough.
It was day 2 since I began playing ARK built a decent tatch base and tamed 5 dilo, 3 para, 1 iguana, 2 mosch and 5 dodos. I guess. I was around level 9-12. As I was trying to to call on of dilo which was out of whistling range I saw triceratops head glowing red from a distance. Previously read a comment about trikes head glowing means a spino or rex is nearby. Out of curiosity went near to check its level. Found me, chased me and tried to kill me. But to my good or bad luck all of my tames attacked the spino only to see each of them getting killed by its jaws and claws. Escaped and built another base, went to my previous base just to check on it only to see 3 more spinos nesting there completely. Had to give up that base regrretfully.
It’s honestly very easy to take one. You have to get on a cliff or a high rock where they can’t reach you, then you have to shoot it with tranq arrows. When it’s knocked out make sure you bring at least 80 narcotics, and at least 8 stacks of meat. Then boom you have a spino
I'm gonna be honest. The X-Creatutes are terrible tamed compared to when they are wild. They lose their damage-resistance and it even seems like they do less damage. So in my opinion, it's not worth taming this one. (X-Spino obviously) But hey if you want to tame it go for it. Nobody is telling you what to do.
After taking do not take him to kill piranha because I once had tamed one he was a lvl 5 I struggled so hard to make him reach a higher lvl means lvl 20 at the moment he turned lvl 20 I saw another spino lvl 1 I targeted him and my spino killed him in about 4-5 seconds then I took him to the water to get some fish meat (that time his Heath was 1160 ) when I enters the water three piranha attacked him the were all 3-5 lvl and they killed him like in few seconds I was furious so I took my gun and shoot all my bullets at them and now I am on a journey to find another spino for taming
