Tips & Strategies

What are tips for spinosaurus? Tips and strategies for spinosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If you’re on a mid-level, ( much like me, I’m on lvl42. ) I recommend using a crossbow and bringing at least 30 tranq arrows, at least 40 narcotics and 2 stacks of fish meat ( if you don’t have prime fish meat or kibble. ) then, just find a far distance and shoot at it. When I tamed mine earlier today, I died once but then I managed to get my things back and finish it off until it knocked out. Once the unconscious metre reached half, I fed her some narcotics and she was fine when I kept on doing it. You might want to bring extra narcotics just incase. My taking time took about 15-30 minutes and was actually okay. My spino that I tamed was just hogging the river near my base so I decided to tame her. Now, I’m free to fish!
Prime fish actually tames quicker, but takes more than kibble, but you can easily kill some salmon and get tons of prime fish. A leveled up moschops might help.
Make sure to bring lots of biotoxin
If u want to tame it,just set trap, they did run form my wood spike,i was go to check my second base(that not complete yet),the spino try to break the wood fence,bu it ended with him running away after a few sec
They run SOOOO fast so if you don't have a flying mount or a super fast land mount or something that can take it on your dinner...
Make ten ston pillar and ten ladders, go on top then tranq it, easiest than ever. Try getting it to the shores coz there is less raptors to interrupt, got my first spino but gotta wait a lot of time before i get a saddle ahh pain. Stay out of cniderias in water coz theyll bum you off the saddle which us worst, also in low lvl, you can tame a baryonyx whome is brother of spino and can be unstoppable in water with stun
The spinosaurus is a piscivore, meaning it eats primarily fish (not pie..), and to tame it, it prefers fish meat and prime fish meat over regular meat. The Spinosaurus is able to change how it stands, going from four feet to being bipedal. Whilst it is bipedal, it is slightly slower, but attacks in an area around it, attacks slightly faster, and may do slightly more damage. Whilst on four feet, it is much, much faster, faster than nearly anything else, but has less of an attack range and area. When in water, it will gain a “Hydration Buff Enabled” buff, which will last for a good thirty seconds out of water. This buff drastically increases its movement speed, at least by fifty percent, making it even faster than a gallimimus whilst on four legs, and increasing its attack power. It attacks at a decently fast speed, and its swipe attacks have a large area further than its arms, along with applying a large deal of knockback to anything in the range. It has high health, weight, and oxygen, but its stamina drains quickly when running whilst not affected by the Hydration Buff, so you should mind your stamina and your sprinting, so that you don’t get exhausted. For the cementing paste, especially with mastercraft and journeyman recipes, with my journeyman spino saddle’s blueprint cementing paste cost of 297, I would suggest first getting a high-tier axe or hatchet, possibly mastercraft, and also a primitive crossbow, a simply shotgun, and ammo for both, and head to the Artifact of the Massive’s cave, the lava cave on the Eastern edge of Drayo’s Cove, and use the crossbow at a far distance to ago Pulminoscorpius and Araneo to you, and kill them with the shotgun, and harvest their chitin with a hatchet to make cementing paste. Spinosaurus can be found near the river next to the Hidden Lake in the Northern regions, nearby the Redwoods. I found two females there yesterday, and they seemed to have no threats to themselves in the near area. They can be knocked out with tranq arrows, as I did with mine, and can hold their own in battle. Either way, I hope that this has helped. From.: OMEGA, Hunter of Shadows..
Spinosaurus is the coolest and one of the most powerful creatures on the arks. Quite easy to tame, but you have to watch out for its torpor, which runs down pretty fast. They have 2 modes, two legged, which allows them to deal more damage, but move slower, and there is four legged mode, which makes it move faster, but deals less damage. It also has water buffs, making it amazing. You need to tame this!
For all of you saying a spino is better than a rex, each is good at its own things: rexes are tanks and decent mutations make them pipular for boss fights. They are easier to tame a breed than a spino. A spino can swim and gets buffs easier. It is also faster and can gather fish meat in lareger amounts. Both tames are awesome so when debating between the two just tame them both.
If you are looking for one there is a pretty much guaranteed spawn of one in the island south zone 1 at the end of the little bay when you first start the world. I play on mobile so this might differ over different devices.
So I have both a spino and a Rex and I think that the spino is the best is faster, in both land and water, and more maneuverable and more beautiful
I will say that the spino is my favorite dinosaur so use a lot of narchs to not die By:Aiden
