Only capture a high level spino anything else will be a waste of your time and effort. As you will find the low levels to be as squishy as a pillow

If you’re like me, and you have five of these wayyy before level 71, buy the tannery(on mobile… it’s what I play, so I don’t know if it’s the same way for other versions), which costs forty ancient amber. The journeyman spino saddle is 600 cures, and you usually start out with five hundred cures. You can get two hundred more cures for twenty ancient amber. If you’re not wanting to buy the amber, get an icthy and get all the underwater drops you can, as you get a good amount of ancient amber roughly every other drop. I’m riding my spino, and it’s my favorite dinosaur so far. I’m glad I figured this out, because I did not want to wait.

Before you attempt to tame it I suggest you trap it first

Tamed one with raw meat only and it took at least 5 ark days.

These guys are TANKS. They’re stronger than a Rex, but slow on land. I recommend though. Use them for getting around in water areas to fight off creatures like a sabertooth salmon on megapirhana. 10/10! Tame one!

When taming make sure u get a lot of prime bc that will help much more. Spinos are honestly the best tame ever so u want to tame one.

How to tame a Spino!

2 METHODS

Method 1 - Trapping (Easiest, Most Expensive)

Materials: 9x stone foundations, 24x stone double doorframe, 6x stone ramps.

Place the foundations in a 3x3 square, then 2 layers vertically of double doorframes along the edges. Then make a place the ramps along one wall.

Use a flyer (Pteranodon or Argentavis) and get the Spino to aggro on you. Then lead it up the ramp and into the trap. Then land and start shooting it with your tranq ammo of choice.

Method 2 - Pillar (Harder, Less Expensive)

Materials: 10x-15x stone pillars, 10x-15x ladders.

Place the pillars on top of each other, then ladders going up the pillars.

Get the Spino’s aggro and then go up the pillar on the ladder. When you get to the top, turn around and start shooting it with your tranq ammo of choice.

Where it gets difficult is when it starts torpor running . You must go down the ladder and follow it while shooting it, but it is faster than you, so this is easier said than done.

USES

They have good stamina, melee, and okay health, and they also can breathe underwater.

They get an infinite buff when in the water and lasts for 30 seconds after you leave the water.

They have 2 types of stances, the 2-legged stance and the 4-legged stance. When on 4 legs they will run faster but less attack ddamage. When on 2 legs they run slower but have more attack damage.

Alright guys. Thank you so much for persuading to tame one of these bad boys. I haven’t yet but here is my game plan (im the person that said the spino is my fav Dino and I needed 10 👍🏻 By Christmas to be confident enough to tame one) thank you so much for 26 Ups!!!

Ok here it is,

There is a swampy river by my base. I go there a lot for fish and to get chitin. It has, as far as I know, NO sarcos andNO ku- ke- ki-? Whatever the other death croc is. But it dose have a spino spawn. I will get all the stone I can get and then put it in my paras inventory. Then I will ride him to the swampy river. Once I locate a spino I will hop of my para and unload him. Then I will craft a trap that someone suggested. 3x3 stone platform, a wall then a doorframe then a wall on three sides. Just wall on 4th. wood ramp going in on fourth wall. I will lead spino in trap then hit with tranqu arrows. I have ALOT of bio toxin so I won’t need to worry about narcotics. Thank you again so much. I just recently tamed a spinosaurus today by having about 32 tranq arrows but only having to use around 20. I got up on a hill and continued shooting it. Like all dinos do, the spino started running away when it got high on torpidity. I now have a new male spino!

so cooked fish meat takes less time to tame a spino? also prefer scraping from scrape meat fish to tame

Everyone says the Rex is better than the Spino because if it’s health... or is it.

Thing about Spino, insane damage, mediocre health, quadripedal and bipedal form, water buff, destroyer of rivers. Great for underwater exploration, and good knock back.

Rex, rawr, outstanding health, great damage, meat gatherer, tek saddle, destroyer of land, and kind of bad stamina.

Believe me...

After TLC 2 you WANT this guy in your army...

With more agility, speed, damage and DPS, the spino can easily take a wild Rex.

Or should we say ALPHA PRIME(red natural)

Bruh I used to take my 800% meele spino to farm cnidarias

Seriously even with the bite attack it doesn't even let the jellyfishes to come close enough. Another funny thing is that even my 300% melee spino can do almost the same thing

Don't underestimate spino's dps

They look big and slow, but just wait till they see something and they go crazy fast. Also why’s everyone saying the beaches are the safest areas I’m on the beach and can see like 5 of these guys at a time south zone 3. In the forest there’s nothing except for the occasional dilo

Use a prime meat jerky instead. It'll only take 10 to tame a max level one
