These guys are so cute and I heard they glide so I would say it is a pretty useful for beginners and travelling around the map, chitin is kinda common because of bugs and them being almost everywhere this guy sounds like it’s early game. And I find it funny that it will attack you if u have chitin armour. Imagine you just walking around exploring the map and then this little guy starts attacking you. I love the idea of this creature and I can’t wait for lost island to come out :D

They are scared of your tames. So leave your mount behind. It took me a painfully long time to learn this, even though it was on the wiki.

If you have one you can take on almost anything and anyone if you have a lvl 150 and a gun with bullets.

Do not have chitin armor on, or it’ll attack you because it thinks your a REAL bug. Ooh! A bug!

Increasing melee damage will affect the power of the scream. Use the scream to kill meganeura, titanomyrma soldiers, and even drone bees while gathering honey.

Don't forget to turn auto-scream off while gathering poly from penguins, it will scare and scatter them

Idea: It can knock players off mounts like a micro raptor (but not stun you for very long, only like 3 seconds) and can also latch onto enemy faces and pretty much blind them and the enemy has to struggle to get it off their face. (like escaping a bloodstalker web)

Found a fair amount in lost island, desert area near the Labrynth. Down in the canyons there is a dead end which is perfect for them getting stuck and turning back round to you. Had some scorpions and terror birds fall off the cliff edge but apart from that pretty safe.

If you are riding a creature with a chiton saddle it will agro to the creature unless you take off the saddle

Feed it chitin and it will fly away chase it down ot will come back to you and repeat the process p.s. stay still on the second feeding if u dont it will run away and you will have to chase it down again

I found one last night it had hearts above it and it flew away really fast. I didn't know what it was. I'm just coming back from a Year long Break from ARK

Do these just fly away after you die if it's on your shoulder cause I was given one as a gift and my game crashed and I died and I came back it my lil guy was gone :<
