I wonder if it will go crazy at you if u tame it and then put on chitin armour

You can equip helmets to these!

They spawn in the jungle in the middle of the map. They passive tame using chitin. Wait for one to approach you and land, give it it chitin, and it will fly away. Make sure to keep it within 100m of you. After awhile it will land in front of you again. Repeat. Keep other tames away. They scare them.

If you want to get one follow these steps

Step 1. Build a raft or get a flyer

Step 2. Look around beaches or swamps with for raft/flyer then u just gotta kill the bugs ( get around 40 chitin or over )

Step 3. Go to a sino spawn

Step 4. Find one and tame it, it’s a passive tame so don’t knock it out and once one goes to you, feed it then track it just don’t chase it or else it won’t like you and it will keep flying away.

And there you go your own lil jetpack

Sinomacrops- Found in The Jungle (both normal and improved jungles) as well as the Desert. Can be passively fed chitin

Dinopithecus- Found in the Redwoods. Can be tamed by killing the whole pack except the alpha then reduce the alphas health to less than 85%.

Amargasaurus- Found in the Volcano, Snow, and Desert biome. Can be tamed by helping an Amargasaurus hunt.

Wyverns- A Wyvern Trench can be found in the Volcano and an Ice Wyvern Trench can be found in the snow.

Basilisks- Found in the Volcano

Snow Owls and Manas- found in the snow

X Dunkleosteus- Found in the Ocean

Magmasaurs- a Magmasaur cave can be found in the Volcano

R Equus and R Megatheriums- can be found at around coordinates lat. 40, lon. 70

Maewings- Found in The Eastern Plains and the Kortez Biome

These need an aberration form because those eye wings glowing in the dark would be sick

Passive tame. Equip chitin to last slot. Find one that isnt aggroed or running and slowly walk into range.. Wait for it to show love hearts. DONT MOVE . Will walk up to you. Feed chitin. Tada! You have a glide suit. Can fly up until stam runs out. Will glide. Helps with swim speed aswell.

The trailer video just came out and it looks very interesting, it can apparently glide with you and you can use weapons while gliding, it can also apparently scare or lose aggro of small dinos, i think this will be useful for pvp

If you have them on your shoulder in the water there scream scares small water tames as well , Eels , mantirays , anglers , jelly’s , works mint.

You know those itchyornis, microraptor, dilo, raptor, giant f**king ant, and maganura fellas. Yea they run in terror from you now.

theres a valley at about 60 50 filled with these and it’s pretty easy to tame them there because there’s a lot of dung beetles fr chitin and high walls so it’s harder for them to fly away

Guys, these things are great.

You can glide, fly, and use them as a parachute! They just sit on your back and carry you!

genuinely the most useful creature in the game, for its size at the very least. trying to traverse some steep terrain? sino safely down to the beach. about to get murdered by a pack of raptors? sino up onto a cliff and watch them struggle. irritated by masses of dragonflies, piranhas, and dilos? sino scream and watch em run.

Having trouble finding them along the beaches these days ? No problem , go to bottom right of lost island map 80 90 80 90 that grid square has all the ones I tamed .....full of predators wear ghile armor when feeding

Sure makes archaeopteryx useless since these guys do more and do it better

Throwing them off your shoulder while looking at a tribey will have them land on tribey's shoulder ; )
