It is important to mention that:

1. you need to be NEAR its face to start the mini game but you don't need to be right in front of his face there is quite a bit of range to it.

2. It's highly advised to stay at some distance to the Shasta as it's collision is kinda screwed. If you are to close to it, it will swimm without care right into you. And if that happens you'll get stuck inside them.

3. Their babies eat exclusively fish meat. And a crazy amount of it at that. 2 of these babies ate 6.000 Fish meat in 2 hours so plan a lot of meat runs if you plan to breed them

You can get away with 3 floors inside. I sued 3 wide foundation from front to back. The front allows 2-levels while the back near the entrance is only tall enough for 2 floors. If you are like me and love platform bases. This one's one of the best. Awesome views, decent space and building the foundations was incredibly easy. It's seems to board players and tames to specific areas so id avoid this feature if you intend to build a base. Or don't build a large interior if you intend to store dinos. Which while I'm talking about it. Tames glitch out when the sub clips into the terrain, so best to leave tames in their cryos or simply leave them home🙂

Tamed a 85 on 3x thought 10 kibble was enough but it wasn’t. 15 kibble did the trick. Hopefully this helps.

Recommended, bring a good defense dino that you can use to protect your dolphins, and bring atleast two dolphins more dolphins gives you more time to play mini game.

On the Center they like to hang out on the ocean in front of the Red woods forest 2 to 3 always around wait a few minutes while in the area remember you have to give a chance for stuff to spawn I play on official

Have to have a dolphin tamed to bring the Shasta to the surface. Once at the surface you can start the mini game to remove leeches from the Shasta with a sickle. After removing the leeches you can feed it (kibble recommended). Rinse and repeat this cycle until it is tamed.

Anyone remember the megachelon also sea base

Very slow with slow but strong attacks. It has a repulsion blast to keep enemies away, but it still gets swarmed. Bring a few Megalodon or Xiphactinus to act as bodyguards

Infinite durability scuba.

I was running snow north on a server I play on, but realized I forgot my scuba. Had a Shasta and ichthy on me. Swam with ichthy fora few minutes, threw out Shasta, got in regenerated oxygen, got out, cryoed, got on ichthy and repeated.

I don’t see this mentioned, you have to be ALONE with it to get it to tame properly.

If you’re duo taming your mate needs to be out of render otherwise it can screw with the minigame. Only one person can trigger it and scrape. If you’re not the one who triggered it you’ll just hit the Shasta and it will reset the minigame & affect effectiveness. Also, hitting it doesn’t drop it to 0% as of 6/23. Just tamed one today.

This dinosaur work like a submarine and it doesn't need a saddle you can put medium size dinos inside it 👍
