Be carful not to run out of stamina for the sabertooth is very vulnerable when it's not sprinting.

Let’s tame a sabertooth

First you will need a trap so use a 2x2 wooden box with wood doorways on all sides and then place wood ramps from the side you want the saber to come in from.

Lead it in to the trap and escape through the doorways.

Next you need to knock it out.

Use a slingshot if it’s under level 30 and use tranq arrows or darts if it’s a higher level then 30.

Now all you need to do is feed it.

Any type of raw meat will work just don’t use cooked meat and bring some narco berry’s or narcotics just in case.

Congratulations you have tamed a sabertooth now I will tell you about them they are really strong and good caving dinos and are one of the best chitin and keratin gathering dinos in the game and have a long jump and are really fast.

Great at harvesting from dead creatures they can get abt 50 hide off of a compy from my experience and 30 from a dodo they also are very fast faster than raptors or scorpions they can climb pretty well they can't go straight up but they can go up steaper hills than you they also jump which is kinda like a short quick glide in my opinion I really recommend these they are great tames

After shooting the recommended amount of times wait.. the arrows take a few seconds to take affect, i killed several 100+ lvls before realizing this.

So if you start at west zone 3 and head north a ways there is this nice beach surrounded by a rocky jungle, you should probably build a base there, then if you have some bolas and some tranq stuff head north a tiny bit until you reach a big rock (I’ve nicknamed it “jungle rock”) and the tigers are usually their. Use your little brother as bait (or whatever works best for you) then bola and tranq! I found this useful and it is a great way to be really tough at a low level.

These things can be as fast as raptors sometimes! I had a saber named Peppermint and she got me to the hunter cave so fast it was insane. Sadly, she died while I was doing the cave. Rip Peppermint, I loved you.

This beautiful beast can easily be found on the slopes of the volcano, where if you tame, scorpions are also found! Happy hunting! :)

So funny thing is these guys are seriously underrated. You probably never tried but you can use saber to kill alpha rex any level, if you stay on its foot the rex can't hit your hitbox

Carnos terrorized me in my world but when I got one of these things lvl(80) I started terrorizing then these thing are friken awesome!!!!!

Some say sabertooth is useless cuz it just have 1 attack(claw even it have large teeth)but the reason why i use it:

1.It gather more hide than raptor

2.It little bit faster than raptor

But i still use my raptor

Make sure other sabertooth aren’t around or any other dangerous Dino bola+ trank arrows easy tame they are great tame for starters they are my favorite tame I have

Collects hide, chitin, and keratin very well. Very good in caves. A good tame to use in a group with mate boosting. Stronger than raptors, and requireing a saddle gives them more defence than a wolf. With a short breed time a good tribe can breed awesome stats into them quickly. Good to use on s.e. in a group to hunt deathworms

I know how to avoid dying. Throw some tamed dodo. While they kill the dodo, make a run for it. Then maybe tranq it.

Maloi the Baryonyx.

Build a raft 3 tall with a dinosaur gate on 1 side and ramps leading up from one of the outsides... agros the Saber, run up the ramp and drop in... have doorway next to the dinos gate... once it's in run out and shoot it through the door way.. can't hit you and it can't get through the door... easy tame just don't drive off :P

I tamed a level 150 with I think it was 5 bronto kibble, no narcotics or anything just the kibble. And it got to 225 with really god health and stamina stats.
