If you’re taming one of these mark the location because If you log off the world and come back it turns invisible till tamed.

Thank you to those who said shoot In head only because I lost an over level 100 one of these things and wasted so many cannonballs and use way to many resources.I was even had a name for him. Hit the head only you might have to adjust the cannon to hit the head.(Or have another cannon ready just in case it runs away and you can't hit it’s head) that happened to me before.Hit the head only or you will end up killing it.This help is for cannons well is easier for cannons because I used cannons. Hopefully this helps.

If you want to tame one of these you NEED KIBBLE or get ready to spend over half your day on taming a rock elementel and 4 gigas

The trap is simple but not cheap you will need 5-6 metal hates without doors.set 4-5 up in a small circle or square pattern let him loose agro and attack the gates then run behind and fill in the last gate.Happy taming:)

ice elementals are basically the same as the rock ones, they are tameable and they just look better. IF YOU TRY TAMING A LAVA ONE ON GENESIS KITE IT OUT OF THE VOLCANO FIRST! you can’t build a temporary trap in the volcano because it is a mission area and they take AT LEAST 50 cannon balls because these ones are X creatures. also sometimes you just cant feed them anything, its kinda glitchy with the lava ones. if one doesnt tame just retry with another lava elemental. the lava ones look really cool though so its worth it.

When you fly with quetzal Even very low golem won't do anything just watching you then shoot it

Do not ride a GROUND mount to tame it

Don’t tame it with rockets, trust me

If you are on fjordur, Don't try to tame with ptrerenodon they fixed that bug, now ptrerenodon can't rideable when you go to magmasaur cave, you have to use Desmodus latch on some distance so it will aggro on it and try to setup cannon for knock out.

Do not tame on Val because you can not use it on any other map

There is an animation for hitting them in the head. If your not getting that head shake then your not doing torpor damage and will likely kill if.

Also if they glitch into floating it looks like you only do damage and not torpor.

Taming was set a little faster but still took way to long for the damn thing to wake up plus we were using stone like the crazy people we are.

It doesn’t seem possible to get all the bonus levels when taming, even with kibble. This is because the cannon does torpor first, damage second, instantly lowering taming effectiveness. Same goes for Karkinos.

If you mess up its taming effectiveness but still knock it out healing it with the snow owl will bring its effectiveness back up

Rockets DO knock out Rock Elementals, look up so people know

Easy tame get a cannon and metal gates with a few metal foundation two metal doorframes and some metal walls surround the golem in gates and use the metal foundation doorframes and walls to protect and place with cannon than knock it out there is also the quetz way but for those with no quetz this will work hope this helps

On interwebs serch “Rock golem trap ark captin fatdog” it worked so well got the best tame ever🤩

There stats drop dramatically after taming, almost not worth the tame!!! Expect health to go from 24,000 to 4,000 or less once tamed that’s how crazy it is now.
