Keep your distance and confirm disguised Rock Elementals with a spyglass, since their rock disguise can be difficult to distinguish; if one aggroes, retreat quickly rather than fighting on foot. To defeat one, use a powerful Giganotosaurus, bleed attacks from creatures such as Thylacoleo or Carnotaurus, or explosives and heavy weaponry, while avoiding spike-wall traps and relying on a tamed Rock Elemental unless it is exceptionally well equipped.
