A nice 2x2 dino gate, or 1x1 behemoth gate pin is the best bet for taming safely. Especially if you're attempting to tame in a dangerous area. Also, bring good fliers and a spare crossbow.

Alot of tranq darts with a longneck rifle, Some behemoth gateways and gates, Prime meat or eXtRoIdOnArY kibble, some knowlege on taming traps, and a bait unless you use yourself, AND OF COURSE the rex tek saddle or rex saddle.

And there you have it folks! A tamed rex for you to control.

Really simple strategy if playing on extinction

1: Tame Tapejara and get a friend

2: Find Rex you want to tame

3: Hover over Rex with Tapejara and make sure you have your friend on tapejara

4: Have friend shoot Rex with tranqs while you fly on tapejara

easiest & cheapest way to tame these guys is to have a pretty tanky mount which you can shoot off the back from. i usually play on max level 300, though, so most creatures are pretty tanky. i use a bary/deinon, since they are fast and you can escape whenever you need to. very easy tame if you know what you’re doing

What I found easy was

Find a high level diplo

Knock it out

Put all stats into health

Find preferred rex

Use diplo as tank

Make sure area is clear before dismounting the diplo

Rex taming tips, noob-pro.

Noob- Bring the rex to a cliff side using something faster than it such as a raptor or a flier, use a bow or crossbow with tranq arrows hitting headshots, fill with 100 raw meat and feed 50 narco berries every time toper hits 1/4.

Intermediate- Build a 2x2 stone trap with double doorways 2 high surrounding, add ramps to 2 of the 4 sides then your trap is done. Next use a raptor or argent with decent health to bring the rex into the trap, use tranq arrows with a crossbow or tranq darts and a long neck to toper the rex out, finally put 15 exceptional kibble, or 100 raw meat with 50 narcotic to tame.

Pro- Build a metal 2x2 out of foundations, surrounded them with two tall double doorways, have the rex follow your mount of choice into the trap, then tranq it using a long neck and darts, finally feed 6-20 exceptional kibble to it depending on level and it's yours!

I tamed one with only two kibble it was a level 100

I was tamping a Rex when a giant came

Defeat it with a bow. Give it some meat.

The 3x smoothing bam works like magic and if don't have enough amber just wait and use bio toxins I have tamed with both ways just the thing you should be worried about is tranc arrows you must have enough of them atleast 30 to 35 since non of us are 100 present accurate all the time.

I am a level 38 and I have tamed a rex level 134 with trap but it's meelee is only 283

If breeding it doesnt take 2 days it can take up to 3 hours at most

I have figured out a new way to tame dinosaurs cut off the dinosaurs meat wise in the area try and keep the dinosaur in the area and send a dodo bird out to attack the tea Rex with bunches of Botox in and it had the tea Rex eat the Botox and it’ll knock it out you go feed it meet make sure you have plenty of Botox in and you’ll have a pet your ex and no I would not recommend trying this whenever your level one side effects may be dead dodo bird hey might find you and run but seriously You better find a good hiding spot

Just saying if u want good guns and crossbows naked run the lava cave, I did it and got a gun that does 413 damage and a crossbow that does 153 damage.

Mine was really easy to tame, I just used a pterosaur to get on a mountain and used 10 tranq arrows and she was out. I only needed 28 raw meat and 1 biotoxin before she was tame. Keep in mind however that I am on mobile so it’s most likely different if you’re on something else.

Use toxican or narcotic arrows and walk back slowly while shooting it then feed it raw prime meat.

Well I have anorexic so I need help getting actual rex

Get your Argy and make the Rex follow you to a beach or long flat area. Fly away from the Rex. Jump off your bird. Shoot Rex with tranq arrows. When Rex gets close, jump on your bird & do it again. Works well. I tamed several high levels this way.

My brother and i tried to knock a lvl 15 male out with tranq arrows on a crossbow. We had 17 and didnt take it, we set up mortar and pestles to make narcotics and tranqs but that also failed. Eventually we used wooden clubs and were still trying to ko it. 😅
