The easiest way to tame is to bring a high lvl Argie, a spyglass, some food, and a crossbow or longneck with tranqs to carno island. Kill everything near the Rex including all of the lower level rexes, leaving only the highest level Rex. Then, aggro it and fly up to the center piece of the island and find a safe perch to dismount. Shoot it from there, and when it runs away get on the argie, fly closer, land, dismount, and continue shooting until it is too far, then remount and repeat. Once it is tranqued, get some prime from whatever is near, and put it in the Rex. Take your argie and fly it above the Rex, and just keep an eve out for anything that might attack it. Once it’s tamed, cryopod and fly back to the nearest allied base. You can repeat this and get a different gender, and begin building up an army. Fair hunting a good day to you.

It's usually takes about 10 to 30 tranq darts to knock out a rex so you shouldn't use tranq Arrows unless it low level and desperate. And it also takes 10 to 100 narcotics to keep it asleep until you tame it

The easiest thing to use to tame it is prime fish 🍖.

So get a shark first and finally the best tip of always over prepare and use more tranq darts than necessary.

The best place to find a Rex is on the volcano in the middle of the map.

Easiest way to tame them is to get a ranged weapon that inflicts torpor(darts, tranq arrows, etc.) get a flying mount, go up on a kill in the swamp, and wait for one to appear. Also works with other cliffs.

Tip once you knock one out, be careful, as I often find more than 1 in a single area

Ride on a Dino that you can shoot Trank arrows or darts off of and let it follow you when it starts running then charge it

When you have a Rex agro'd on you lead it to a cliff so I can't hit you but you can hit it

Highly recommend 6 dino gateways. 1 dino gate and 15 stone pillars. Place the gates in a rectangle. One on the left and right, 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom. Like a rectangle. Trapping it in a pen is ideal for anyone who wants to tame it without any problems so put beds nearby for you or your friends just in case they get killed trying to lure it in, have someone pick up you and your friends so you can tranq it and boom you got yourself a Rex.

Becareful that you don't smoke bud otherwise he might get munchies and die

So ive found a lot of rex's either by south zone or where snow meets sand it west. A great way to tame it is get a friend with a bird, have him/her fly you over (bring spyglass to scout levels) then go to town with narco arrows, etc

Easiest way to do this is to get a bird and have it follow you to a steep hill it can't climb and shoot it with tranqs, use a low lvl bow or cross bow, you're going for torpor not damage

Lots spawn in snow biom. If you can't find a high level go on a killing spree to get a new round of spawns, scout the area again, repeat until level you want spawns.

Certainly need more narcs than stated here. Bring at least 28narcs to be safe for lvl 155+
