The rock scaling allowed after the TLC phase 1 makes using rocks and even large cliffs illogical, if the cliff has even one section that’s less than a 65 degree angle, that Rex WILL climb it. Even after they nerfed it a little, it can still walk over most anything. I would suggest stone structure pens with a ramp to let it in, it will also derp through even small gaps between the 3 Dino gate strategy, the moment you realize that, it will have escaped and be coming at you.

What you want to do is use a cross now or a normal bow it works just bring a ton of narco arrows and some normal narcos to keep it knocked out make sure you have some other ok battle Dino with you so you can kill what ever is there a use that to tame it

Before you go hunting for meat MAKE SURE YOU PUT UP A SPIKE WALL TO KEEP DINOS YOU DONT WANT OUT

If you find a cliff and get the rex to follow you, you can shoot down at it with tranq whatever-you're-using until it get knocked out.

Keep under Rex's belly towards tail and fire KO ammo upwards at the belly. It can't bite you near as much because turning circle is so large.

NEVER IN ALL YOUR DAYS fight an alpha rex while a weaker dino is parked elswhere. It will get attacked by something else or the rex will lose interest in you and eat it. I lost a good level quetzal that way. Me and my thyla got revenge but that won’t replace the hours of searching and grinding out darts.

Ride on your pteranadon in every direction you can furthest away from it. Jump off and hit it with all the tranqs you've got.before it gets too close jump on the pterosaur and fly away. Repeat until its down. Never tanq anything in deep water.

Build a 1x3 2high stone structure without roof in a rex area lure the rex get inside they can't Harm you. super easy way to kill them also Carno and other big dinos go down with so easy if you do this.

Just find a rock it can get up and fire at it then get down so it dosnt run away and then get back up

I play on PVE so I can't use high tech tactics. So far I've tamed about 6 Rexes, 3 of which were lvl 145. (Still looking for the elusive 150)

Anyway the tactic that seems to work the best for me is to kite the Rex to a large shift in terrain. Something the Rex can't walk over. Honestly doesn't have to be much tho, they seem to get stuck on even smaller rock formations.

Once its stuck hit him with a bunch of trans arrows. (You can always break the rocks with a pick axe to get it out once it's tamed.)

Make sure it runs into a corner. It's large head and tiny arms will make it impossible to get you. If he has arm extensions, ask him to dictate your will.

Is use a taming raft with a ramp and a basic wood ramp parked behind. Aggro on a bird and lead into taming raft. Land bird on basic raft just behind and shoot arrows from it. Sometimes with taming rafts rexs can still get the occasional nibble on you hence the second raft. I take them back to my base near swamp and farm paracer for prime.

Tame scorpions for eggs before you try to tame a high lvl. Scorpions are an easy tame even if they are lvl 150. Kibble makes it an extremely easy tame a rex because you'll rarely need to use any narcotic.

Try and lure the Rex onto the beach and distract with a high level turtle, then pump it with tranqs and it should be a breeze Warning- Do NOT tamper with the Rex early game!

Get on a raft drive to the ocean and shoot at it while it chases you, if you want more xp

Build a tower with stone pillars and 9 stone celling the rex cant dammage the stone thé use a lader to be in the top of the tower thèmes shoot him

Very easy tame if you do it right. Get 6 Dino gates and make a rectangle. Open the one on the short part and lead him in, close the gate, and fire darts from a quetz. The rex has a high torpor rundown so check back every 20 to 30 mins until starve tamed and enjoy 😀

This website isn't telling the truth, I tamed a lvl 1 female Rex with some raw meat (5-ish) and about 2-3 raw prime! Only problem with it is that it gets stuck on stuff easily so make sure he doesn't get stuck!! Merry Christmas

Get a few friends with tranc arrows then get a high health diplo with a saddle. Put everybody on one side of the saddle and make a firing squad when you walk past it. Diplo shouldnt die if you have multiple people hitting it with torpor at once.

When attack by one run in circles they hear huge turning circles. FYI RUN !!!!!!
